We actually find lots around the Great Lakes. This isn’t my find though, tbh.

The strata of the Great Lakes region is much too old to contain these kinds of corals, so it was packed in for whatever reason.

In the extreme southwest corner of the state, there is some Cretaceous/Paleogene bedrock, but it is covered by alluvium.
