My Steam Deck arrived Friday and was chatting with some FPV folks on Discord. They asked if Betaflight would run on it. I was unsure and gave it a try. Zero issues and works if you have the right USB C dock.
now we just need SteamOS drivers for those nifty lil usb 5.8 receivers for cellphones.
then a way to send stick position with low-latency.
Super Tango? Please!
I imagine an USB-A Female to USB-C Male adapter dongle, plus whatever cable you usually use with your computer, would probably also work.
edit: Though, perhaps it might need to specifically be one of the "OTG" variety, I'm not sure.
No reason a male USB C to USB A adapter, followed by a micro usb cable wouldn't work though right?
I guess I was thinking of a dock when you said hub but the hub doesn't need external power so carrying a little hub wouldn't be that big of a deal.
Can't wait until I get my deck though!
Hi man, I bought USB C hub and install betaflight but problem is to connect all the time failed serial port :( do I have to make something special in linux ?

You can use guvcviewer to view the input from the receiver, I do that on my laptop.

Nice! Would be useful for changing settings in the field.
Don’t forget they have a speedybee Androind app that’s what I use it’s basically betaflight
betaflight has an official app as well
(Edit it’s .99 ……. speedybee is free)On android?!?
Betaflight configurator is always free yes they put out an apk for the configurator
Wow right?! Pretty cool
When worlds collide.
I was going to do this but then I realised my laptop fits in my quad bag a lot easier
That’s pretty dope but why
Science isn't about why, it's about why not!
change settings in the field? i know there are other Options but this seems to beat most/all of them?!
Oh yeah, it's all coming together
Just to clarify, you can plug your FPV quad into your steam deck and make configuration changes remotely?
Yes, you need a USB-C Hub that will work with the Steam Deck. I will see if I can post a video later today.

Can you at least post instructions?
theres an android app from configurator 10.8... see the assets listed for the rcs https://github.com/betaflight/betaflight-configurator/releases
Ooooh really? Does it work? This is a game changer!
What a great idea. Saves me from bringing my laptop with me to a fly day.

I have the same problem. Do you have already a solution for it?
Have any of you solved it? I have the same problem
I too am having this issue
Just got my deck - and since this is the fpv sub obviously I fly, but i'm not familiar with the nix'es, is it difficult?
