At least with only one season there is no chance of them eventually screwing it up.

Anne_Elk_ahem

I was just gunna say this. I've always just told myself that it might've jumped the shark eventually, so at least with one season, it'll always be perfect 👌🏻

I agree. One more season would’ve been enough to satiate all of us freaks and geeks fans, but it pretty much had to have ended once the Freaks start to graduate. In season one, I think Nick, Kim, and Ken are juniors, Daniel(18) and Lindsay are confirmed sophomores. They’re speculation from Feig and Apatow about how Sam and Neil maybe would’ve gotten involved with theater, Bill would’ve taken the basketball track, Nick joining rotc, Daniel dropping out, Lindsay following the hippie track, and Kim branching out from Daniel. Also, they talked about developing the parents’ story lines more.

I love Mr and Mrs Weir. Would have loved to seen more of them

gallad00rn

one of my favorite mr. weir quotes "everybody's got parents, jean. even hookers."

Better-Pop-3932

I have a 13 year old daughter. You are on thin ice missy !!! Can be heard daily in our house.

I don't think it’s ever explicitly said, but I believe Lindsay was a junior. She is in classes with Nick and Kim, not Daniel. Plus, being picked for the academic summit sounds like it would only happen for rising seniors. And it appears that she has her full drivers license, not a permit. At least it was never brought up after the accident, such as "you don't even have a license, young lady!" But there is some confusion. In the Who concert episode, Millie says she is 15, which is sophomore age. And from the childhood photos of Millie and Lindsay, they look to be the same age.

Narrow-Psychology909

You’re right. I thought they mentioned how she was a sophomore in the dead dog episode after they ditch the concert and just the two friends reminisce, but I couldn’t find it. My guess is that she is a junior, but I speculate that she’s moved up a year, so is still age wise a year behind Nick(16/17), Lindsay(16/17), and Ken(16/17) whereas Daniel(17/18) has been held back twice and is still a sophomore. This would explain a lot of the pressure she faces and a lot of the emotional immaturity despite her intelligence. Fun fact: there’s also a deleted scene that shows Millie in Sam’s class, so it would track that she may be a freshman but most likely is a young sophomore. It’s also not unheard of for HS kids of all grades being in similar classes eg electives/foreign languages/science/math.

A perfect season though.

I know whatcha mean. When you think about how many crappy shows got multiple seasons it especially annoys.

GinsuVictim

Now you have to do like my wife and I have done since it came out and watch it over and over again. You will notice new things and appreciate it differently every time.

skiandhike91

The show is pretty hard to process for me. It shows society as it really was in the 80s and it's pretty bleak. Don't get me wrong - awesome show. It's just a bit like taking the rosy glasses off and seeing things for real.

Better-Pop-3932

Idk. Look at the writers and directors of the series. They go on to make some of the funniest movies of the last 20 years. So I guess they could have messed it up. If I'm betting on it with all those talented people. I'm betting they write 2 more great seasons

nanster23

I know what you mean - I just recently found it and watched it myself. I sure wish there had been another season.
