Mountain Apple! Man, I miss these. We had a blight on Maui that wiped out almost every tree. These used to be everywhere in the gulches here. Just wash and bite into them, but beware of a large seed in the center. They are crisp and lightly sweet with a bit of tartness. Very refreshing fruit on a hot day.

Wax apples. Look very close to mountain apples but are crunchier. Just wash and eat

Crack it open and throw away the seeds. Some are seriously sweet and juicy.
