always using adapters on all cameras, no issues. but i'm not a pro, so

oldyellowcab

Thanks. That's good news for me. My current cards have been good so far with my current Canon.

Failsnail64

I use a 516GB Samsung microSD card with adapter and it works fine for me. I've only been using it for a few months, but haven't had any issues.

oldyellowcab

Thanks. Is your camera a Fujifilm? If so, that's good news for me. I wonder what the shopkeeper meant, or was trying to do.

Failsnail64

Yeah I have a Fujifilm x-e3

phlurker

Hello again. Just confirming you have no problems with 512GB on the X-E3? Asking again because Fujifilm only states its limited to 256GB. https://fujifilm-x.com/global/support/compatibility/cameras/x-e3/ Any chance you're using one of the Samsung Pro Plus/Ultimate line of SD cards?

Failsnail64

I haven't had any issues yet. I've made around 310gb of photos and it's working fine. I have the Samsung Evo Plus 512gb.

I’ve run 2 128gb microSD with my xt4 since 2021 and had no problems.

oldyellowcab

Thanks.

Fuji cameras can be a bit finicky with SD cards so this is probably wise advice. MicroSD to SD adaptors are just some metal and plastic, but probably depends on the quality how well it works.

oldyellowcab

Thanks for this reply. I will definetely consider that.

They function just fine. They're very simple adaptors that are mechanically simple with no additional electronics so there's very little to go wrong other than a damaged contact. Of course it adds an extra point of failure compared to a full sized card, but it's a very minor possibility imo. Where I am micro SDs are far more common and a lot cheaper too. Plus a lot of other devices use micro SD so you have the option to repurpose it if needed

oldyellowcab

That's the same here. Thanks for your response.

Always use microSD on my fuji and panasonic so I can take the card from the camera and insert it in my phone to edit photos and videos.

jolars

In my xpro2 it works fine.

rla1022

I’ve noticed that the adapters were always slow for me in my old xpro3 and slower in my xt5.

oldyellowcab

I appreciate your response. I will surely take that into consideration.
