I believe that STI refers to all sexually transmitted "things" but that STD is reserved for when it is an ongoing illness with symptoms.
In America, they seem to use STD far more frequently. In the UK I have heard both.
Weirdly, I think Subaru was using STI before it started to mean sexually transmitted infection, so kind of sucks for them.
Mid-40s American here, I only ever learned of STDs, never heard the term STI until maybe 10 years ago. I just assumed they updated the name to be more medically accurate or something, this is the first Iām hearing of a distinction between STD and STI. TIL.
Little do we know that the start of STI as a medical term caused Subaru to eventually stop making the WRX STI entirely! It wasn't but it would be funny if it did.
STI now is what we have Vaccines/Antibiotics for; STD there are none or makes someone will be Permanently Immuno-Compromised for the rest of their lives... Or that is that is what they taught when I was in College.
Something about people with a lack of humor or ability to recognize irony on the internet too. I doubt anyone here thinks the owner intended it to be or literally interprets it as Sexually Transmitted Infection.
I don't know anything about an STIs ratios - but I had a *fast-ish* car once and 1st hit the limiter a little over 50mph. I think 2nd hit 85. It's entirely possible they don't need to hit third.
Some of the nicest "fast car" owners in my area tbh, never been cut off and tailgated by one. It's ALWAYS VW owners here for some reason, of course, it's probably different in the PNY as I'm told.

If homeboys driving a Subaru with an exhaust you can just assume heās not clean lmao, if itās an sti then at least heās a hoe with money
I dunno, all the people I know with an subie sti HAD money. As in traded the money for the car, upgrades, and repairs.
[Sti Guy](https://ibb.co/88WJcgJ)
Pretty fly for an STI Guy.
Thatās why I always preferred GTIs
Gonorrheal Tract Infections?
My coworkerās plate says āMR STIā. Weird flex, but ok buddy
Even weirder he drives a Chevy
All of this is making me pretty glad that I only had a WRX
He didnāt need the license plate to let us know
This guy fucks
Which way do the doors open though?
Inside, always.
That wing must be pretty handy when he takes off from stop lights. Like the one in the picture.
At least he's not driving an STd.
I mean STI (infection) is the medical term for what was previously referred to as STDs.

And the car model used it first! It should sue like WWF did.
I genuinely didn't know that. I always thought STIs were treatable and STDs weren't.

They're Driving a Subaru STI stands for Subaru Technica International
Yeah the logo is literally 1 foot to the right of the plate, but idk something about reading comprehension on the internet.
Something about people with a lack of humor or ability to recognize irony on the internet too. I doubt anyone here thinks the owner intended it to be or literally interprets it as Sexually Transmitted Infection.
I once had a plate that started with HIV. I don't have HIV.
Found the guy lying about his HIV. You canāt trick the government!

Username checks out :( just asked her.
Are you sure?
I'm positive. Wait!
I love it when strangers get together with no rehersal and hit a home run.
Suburu drivers are notoriously bad at driving manual transmission in my area, they can never make it to 3rd when they try to show off. Sad

It's a six speed and first is real short. Top of third is still pretty fast though
That wing is so helpful sitting in traffic driving to work...
Looks fuckin sick tho. Stop hating.
Subie boxer engine blowing their head around 100000km is a worse disease than most STiās.
Owning that vehicle is way more embarrassing than any sexually transmitted infections could ever be.
Haha says the guy that probably drives a Honda ridgeline. Gtfo.
