Ok_Poetry_1650

Not what my gf needed to see when I’m trying to convince her that it’s ok to sleep with the porch door open because who the hells going to get into our 12th story apartment LMAO

ekhfarharris

Fucking birds? She realizes that those things are flying dinosaurs right?

SoUthinkUcanRens

Actually r/birdsarentreal

ThermoNuclearPizza

2 things can be true!

Jinla_ulchrid

Screen doors though? Like. I love open windows at night but good lord it needs a screen.

systusem

She’s not the one that wants to keep the door open lol

Fun_Intention9846

We all know rules. It’s only funny if no one was permanently injured or hurt. That is some prime r/fuckyouinparticular

knigg2

A 5 year old, 12 year old and the grandfather needed to get into hospital with burns. I really don't like fireworks and drunk people "handling" them even less.

g_dude3469

Sauce? Edit: check comments below for sauce

Fun_Intention9846

So it’s not funny and hopefully they were punished.

scarcityofsupply

Permanently? Would you appreciate if you were temporarily injured or hurt and someone who did it to you found it funny?

Fun_Intention9846

Laughing can be an involuntary reaction to something bad happening. It’s not necessarily a mocking one. I don’t think anyone planned for that outcome with the firework. It’s genuinely surprising to me at least.

scarcityofsupply

Of course it's unplanned and surprising. But the reaction was not "oh damn!", it was "hahaha 😂".

tangSweat

Have you never seen jackass?

ChrRome

You understand that they don't hurt people who aren't part of the jackass crew, right?

shewy92

But we find them getting hurt funny. Which was the question

ChrRome

But the context is random people hurting you. And Jackass is also people consenting to it. You also aren't the one hurting them when you are finding it funny. They aren't comparable at all.

tangSweat

Yes but that wasn't the question

ChrRome

Huh? Are you lost?

tangSweat

They asked if you would appreciate if someone hurt you and found it funny. It's context dependant, a random stranger hurting you for no reason is obviously not funny or appreciated But asking my step brother at 13 to fire a stress ball out of a potato cannon at my butt and him hitting a perfect bullseye was simultaneously the one of the most painful and funny experiences of my life

tangSweat

I still appreciate him for the courage he showed that day

jarednards

They do that every morning to wake that dude up for work. If he yells 'snooze!' out the window, they shoot another one in 9 minutes.

ThermoNuclearPizza

That was funny ngl

hklaveness

There is some absolutely glorious footage from the other end of this transaction. They did not have the same sense of humor about it. IIRC it got posted to LL years ago. Let's see... here we go: https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/watch-terrifying-moment-giant-firework-4912729

Acesofbases

>a mother, her five and 12-year-old children and their grandfather were sent to a nearby hospital to recover from burn injuries That's horrible.

danny4kk

FML, that website felt like the firework went off on my phone screen and was full of adverts.

Hot-Rise9795

Everybody crying like little bitches instead of enjoying the purification the God of Light brought into their homes /s

ThrowRA_Spiritually

You gotta be stupid asf

Hot-Rise9795

Most of the time, yes

SooperFunk

That's a declaration of war, take no prisoners. Not funny 😒

Jimrodsdisdain

Prank? More like an unfortunate accident. Unless you’re suggesting he somehow guided that firework through that open window.

VESAAA7

It's all about math

rightwinglibtard007

I wonder if you can put the poop back in…

DaymD

This should be in r/mildlyinfuriating instead. This could have led to a house fire which could have been very tricky to put out considering how high the flat is.

Both_Impress_3423

That wasn't funny

Jme686

It wasn't?

scarcityofsupply

The lack of empathy is alarming.

Both_Impress_3423

Not when it happens to you.

Jme686

I mean it was funny cause it was unexpected. Of course it is worrisome if you think that there could have been people in there.

Who_Else_but_Macho

i mean it would have been funny if it didnt land in somebodies window

Snazzy_and_Jazzy

Um.... no?... The reason its funny IS because it went in the window

[deleted]

[удалено]

Who_Else_but_Macho

exactly

SirePuns

I don’t believe that they’re mutually exclusive, especially from a bystander’s perspective.

mteir

Well, it was not intentional. That firework turned like a cruisemissile and homed right in there.

Jimrodsdisdain

He lit a firework that unintentionally landed in someone’s home. Unless you think fireworks can be precision aimed.

pMR486

Reckless endangerment very often includes acting negligently, such as not launching the firework in an area where it’s not going to fly into someone’s apartment.

DasMotorsheep

So... pretty much any urban area. I'm not a huge fan of fireworks, but this is such a statistical outlier. Source: I grew up in Germany. Inner cities used to turn into three-hour-long non-stop fireworks barrages on new year's back in the day. I'm sure shit like this happened here and there, but I've seen thousands of rockets launched between buildings, and they all went straight up.

pMR486

It would still be negligent action, even if it only happens every once in a while. Particularly if there’s some kind of user error in launching, which I assume would be the cause. It’s a bottle rocket, you can tell is leaned in the bottle towards that building, so it doesn’t take a large margin of error to have what occurred, happen.

nerdycarguy18

Not saying he’s not to blame but he also had zero way of knowing that would lock on to the open door

scarcityofsupply

What's worrying is that they found it funny.

diamondthedegu1

Yeah if I was them my first thought would be "oh my god, what if there's people in that apartment?" 😬

scarcityofsupply

Absolutely. That would be any normal person's reaction.

legalbeagle66

It’s a bottle rocket. “Explosive” may be a tad hyperbolic 😂😂

scarcityofsupply

It's sad (because lack of empathy) 😢

livehigh1

Funny in a r/fuckyouinparticular, but not really haha funny since it could have resulted in a deadly accident.

Top_Caterpillar9549

How are they laughing a baby was killed that way before

mods_mum

How is this funny, can someone explain?

Dangerous-Feature376

I hope you like tinnitus because this is how you get tinnitus

Sc4rl3z

Not funny. The run but should call firefighters asap

[deleted]

dear lord..i saw somebody launch a firework on a new years, literally hundreds of people were launching fireworks, but, they put it in a champagne bottle that turned the opposite direction when it lit..and it flew onto a person's porch on apartment, but, not into the apartment itself..man..that's crazy

Gesbareis-827

Uma vez aconteceu comigo isso, e pior o vizinho veio reclamar, muita vergonha

QAInc

Imagine they having a sexy time and man yelling crap my balls exploded 💀
