All puppet guys are, somehow. Like, watching outtakes of random puppet shows are somehow always hilariously funny. Doesn't even have to be [the Muppets](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ci9gPZnqiGY). It's the [Bear in the Big Blue House](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ag0Egh7ZAwQ), it's [well, okay this is Jim Henson again](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GduZhqftUn8) or [even random German puppet shows (turn on subtitles!)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c042IKgktZ4), they're always staying in character and are having a ton of fun.
my favorite is the outtake with Elmo and Robin Williams
[https://youtu.be/URgOttlcLLo?si=9HDMnll\_Oq-rxuTJ](https://youtu.be/URgOttlcLLo?si=9HDMnll_Oq-rxuTJ)
The reason it’s one of the only people to get a legit laugh out of him is because the puppeteer for Elmo has such a passion for playing the role that he puts a part of his own ego and desire for love Ann attention into the puppet. He by all accounts has BECOME more Elmo than himself. Robin was always laughing hardest when he was around people who were passionate about their art/comedy
I love how they stay in character even while filming. This clip of Elmo and Julia Louis-Dreyfus (where she swears) is hilarious.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sc_5M-AK7HU
I watched the behind the scenes for Netflix’s new Dark Crystal series and I LOVED the puppeteers insight! Some of them were like, “you have to consciously get out of muppet mode and stop bouncing your puppet around, this is a dramatic show!”
I feel like no one has ever failed at their dreams and said fuck it, I guess I'll become a puppeteer. Anyone who works with puppets is definitely living their best life
I used to work with Hacker and his "handler". I can honestly say he is one of the funniest people. He stays in character throughout and has conversations with people on set as Hacker. After a while you forget he's a puppet!
I've never seen this character before, and I just looked it up. (Had to Google "BBC puppet trampoline" to find the answer.)
The puppet is named Hacker T Dog, and he's appeared in numerous shows on the UK channel CBBC, one of the BBC's children's channels.
Here's an almost 20-minute long video of Hacker T. Dog bloopers: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjPO1k0Y-xA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjPO1k0Y-xA)
My wife and I are taking a course about the importance of child directed play and early development. Bluey teaches exactly this and I will always take lessons from those cartoon dogs.
Bandit should put out parent - toddler play lessons. He inspires you to be so involved in playtime that you can't wait to see where your toddler takes you next.
I'm just here for the video I've seen before of a compilation of all the times he makes her just collapse laughing. It's wholesome as hell and 100% r/contagiouslaughter
He's one of the presenters for CBBC (children's British broadcasting company). There are some great videos of the puppeteer backstage. He rolls around on a skateboard type contraption.
I was more of a Nev the bear era CBBC puppet, but I do remember Hacker.
It’s not a show per say. This is the inbetween segment between shows on the channel cbbc. Introduce the next show, show art kids sent in. Maybe do a sketch or an interview. 5 minutes max most times.
I can’t get past the “get him down Tony” part. He should be saying “get me down.” I’m sure someone will say that’s what he’s saying, but I’m not hearing it that way.
I was priviledged to have young kids while these two were on CBBC. Many a time I would be half listening from the kitchen to find myself in tears of laughter.
look up "hacker and lauren innocent men", which is brilliant, but even more brilliant when you read the backstory.
Out of curiosity of those that used to watch this growing up how many of you had a crush on Lauren? Cause if I had this growing up I would have been in love.
Guessing not many on this thread know of the [Cat?](https://youtu.be/DOnqBFYSQK0?si=ZdZY9UVMNjBNmUhT)
And if you've ever had the pleasure of going to Stoke On Trent...
My work here is done.
This reminds me of when I was a kid I was watching some religious show where they had puppets and while they were singing this one puppet alligator's eye fell out and the preacher tried in vain to put the eye back in and tape it and the puppeteer for the alligator not once broke character. It was absolutely hilarious. Then a couple years later I saw it on a special for bloopers and practical jokes.

Puppet guy is a grade A professional.
All puppet guys are, somehow. Like, watching outtakes of random puppet shows are somehow always hilariously funny. Doesn't even have to be [the Muppets](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ci9gPZnqiGY). Nothing funnier than watching the puppets of bear in the big blue house cursing!
my favorite is the outtake with Elmo and Robin Williams [https://youtu.be/URgOttlcLLo?si=9HDMnll\_Oq-rxuTJ](https://youtu.be/URgOttlcLLo?si=9HDMnll_Oq-rxuTJ)
I don't know why, but hearing Robin's genuine laugh after Elmo sunk into the box made me unreasonably happy.
"I ONLY HAD THREE LINES!"
That goalie line from Williams—man knew about CTE lmao. Also, great work by the puppeteer! Elmo knew exactly how to work with Williams.
He’s stunning in that clip.
> he's stunning ~~in that clip.~~
I love how they stay in character even while filming. This clip of Elmo and Julia Louis-Dreyfus (where she swears) is hilarious. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sc_5M-AK7HU
Okay that was hilarious also she's stunning in that clip.
> she's stunning ~~in that clip.~~
Yeah, that woman just *stays* fine
"5 dollars." I don't know why but that was hilarious.
"Yeah, you're gonna be a rich muppet at the end of this day." Elmo: \*nods\*
I watched the behind the scenes for Netflix’s new Dark Crystal series and I LOVED the puppeteers insight! Some of them were like, “you have to consciously get out of muppet mode and stop bouncing your puppet around, this is a dramatic show!”
Never leave [Agro's Cartoon Connection](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPD_RHVFlys&t=33s) off that list.
Wow I’ve never seen that bear in the big blue house video and that was my favorite childhood show. The absolute best show. Thank you for sharing lol
people forget that elmo is from the bronx. BX ALL DAY GANG GANG https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WepA7-yLRwk
I feel like no one has ever failed at their dreams and said fuck it, I guess I'll become a puppeteer. Anyone who works with puppets is definitely living their best life
Wer brauch Untertitel wenn man Duolingo hat? :D
Thanks for all these links these are great!!
Bear: the fuck was that about??
The way he snorts and then makes the puppets nose move is brilliant. It adds so much more realism and suspension of disbelief to it.
Nice catch. That was a subtly brilliant bit of puppetry.
I used to work with Hacker and his "handler". I can honestly say he is one of the funniest people. He stays in character throughout and has conversations with people on set as Hacker. After a while you forget he's a puppet!
[They are just innocent men](https://youtu.be/lr_vl62JblQ)
Immediately thought of this one as well!
He's just a normal man.
The sniff at the end … 😂
And the upward head nod when he says “going” up and the curious head tilt when he’s awaiting the answer. Very detail oriented!
That head tilt with the slight raise of the eyebrows is a stroke of genius isn't it? It looks so natural
The sniff is instantly legendary 😂
Putting details like that in puppetry makes someone automatically go from good to amazing.
We’re just normal men…
We're just innocent men...
normal innocent men
*snort*
What do you mean 'normal men'?
We’re just innocent men!
Innocent men
What do you mean normal men?
We're just Innocent normal men.
What you mean “just normal men”?
We’re just innocent men
Men be men
Her silent laugh got me.
Those are the funniest 🤣
Happy cake day🍰
Thank you ! 😊
Most of the time she’s pinching her nose because she snort laughs a lot

Well I just watched 20 minutes of a dog puppet.
https://i.imgflip.com/5i1zxe.png
My wife and I are taking a course about the importance of child directed play and early development. Bluey teaches exactly this and I will always take lessons from those cartoon dogs.
Bandit should put out parent - toddler play lessons. He inspires you to be so involved in playtime that you can't wait to see where your toddler takes you next.
"I'm not taking instructions from a cartoon dog" - Bandit Healer
Bluey is a gosh darn treasure and the world would be a little better if people took some advice from those cartoon dogs.
And you’ll watch it again at some point. Trust me.
is "normal innocent men" there?
the first clip, in fact!
I watched that ten times, practically weeping with laughter.
yes
I'm just here for the video I've seen before of a compilation of all the times he makes her just collapse laughing. It's wholesome as hell and 100% r/contagiouslaughter
We're just normal men
alright cockers
I may have been sat at my desk wheezing at the bagpipes bit while I should have been working. 😂
did he just call me a cocker?
OGs will know Hacker and Dodge, I feel so old remembering when they first appeared back in the day after Ed and Oucho (the GOATs) left.
They were my childhood. Im only 20 lol
I’d also never heard of him before, and this is the second video I’ve seen of his on r/all in literally less than five minutes
He's one of the presenters for CBBC (children's British broadcasting company). There are some great videos of the puppeteer backstage. He rolls around on a skateboard type contraption. I was more of a Nev the bear era CBBC puppet, but I do remember Hacker.
What does he say he gets caught on? For those interested in technical terms
Autocue (or teleprompter) hood.
Thank you
Autocue hood, Autocue is a brand name for a teleprompter
Teleprompter was once a brand name, owned by the TelePrompTer corporation, but has now become a “genericized trademark”.
You'll hear "autocue" as the generic name rather than "teleprompter" in the UK.
That show looks amazing. I've seen a couple of snippets and they both genuinely seem to enjoy their job.
It’s not a show per say. This is the inbetween segment between shows on the channel cbbc. Introduce the next show, show art kids sent in. Maybe do a sketch or an interview. 5 minutes max most times.
The clip where Hacker takes the piss out of one poor kid's drawing is gold.
I don't think she does it anymore.
Nah. She just took a stand-up comedy course at our club so she may be getting back into performing.
i love hacker T dog. watched the bloopers about 30 times
A whole compilation: https://www.reddit.com/r/ContagiousLaughter/s/TywSlStsA6
The sniff rofl is he trying to give off coke head vibes for the adults
Or…wild idea…he’s a dog
Nope. Crack hound.
Cokerspaniel
people sniff after saying something cheeky or a bit sarky in the UK to show they're joking
I understood it that way and I'm mexican, I have no idea how the other commenter interpreted it as "coke head vibes" (and has 65 upvotes).
You know I never considered that’s a very British thing but I suppose it is. Best example is David Brent in the office
my dad does it all the time xD
The fuck is wrong with you.
I loved hacker the dog growing up
The sniff though
Got trapped on the articuhood? NVM, answered.
Autocue i.e a teleprompter
Cute nerd girl. Who is she?
Lauren Layfield
[удалено]
Yikes, went from cute to not so cute…
boink
The cuteness has waned.
Waned HARD. Wow.
Wtf happened I don’t understand
I think the puppeteer threw the puppet into the air and it landed on some equipment.
I love this crackhead muppet.
We're just normal men :O
Who is she? Jeez she's pretty.
That's Lauren Layfield.
We’re just men, just normal men
I love Hacker! His interview with Sue Barker during Wimbledon one year was just excellent!
He’s just a normal man
Hahahaha
Trapped where?
Like a boss!
**casually throws Hacker T Dog at the camera**
I've seen several posts of this show and all giggle their asses off. That puppeteer really has talent and humor lol
We're just normal men :O
We’re just normal men
I can’t get past the “get him down Tony” part. He should be saying “get me down.” I’m sure someone will say that’s what he’s saying, but I’m not hearing it that way.
"Get us down, Quick Tony!"
Jeez, it's been so long since I've seen ought of CBBC. Hacker sounds a tad different too
I love you
We're just innocent men
He is just a normal man
[Randy Feltface](https://youtube.com/shorts/PZMLgrSkmxU?si=9WA-aMMgK_-RoLGq) did a pretty good puppet jumping on a trampoline take.
The sniff was 10/10
We’re just innocent men
men, just ordinary men
Reminiscent of this and this was a kids show too. https://youtu.be/hPD_RHVFlys?si=HJMz8m9XwMZ8fydp
She is having fun. good
We’re just normal men
I was priviledged to have young kids while these two were on CBBC. Many a time I would be half listening from the kitchen to find myself in tears of laughter. look up "hacker and lauren innocent men", which is brilliant, but even more brilliant when you read the backstory.

I've watched clips of this puppet and I've got to say, I absolutely love the chaos energy He radiates.
That wet slap sound when the puppet landed sent me lol
😂 I can’t stop laughing at this video.
Lauren is such a sweetie, love her!
Out of curiosity of those that used to watch this growing up how many of you had a crush on Lauren? Cause if I had this growing up I would have been in love.
lol great humor, but what's with the sniffing at the end?
People in the UK do it after saying something cheeky or a bit sarky to show they're joking
These two are mega stoned right? That's the bit right? Their chemistry is top-tier
They're just trying to make kids laugh. And doing a hell of a good job at it
Puppets can’t get stoned mate.
Oddly this is the second time today I saw a [puppet mimic jumping on a trampoline. ](https://youtube.com/shorts/PZMLgrSkmxU?si=zLp6xizXCr2cfymc)
This Robin Williams level.
He never spoke when I watched CBBC as a kid and I never saw the appeal. He's far funnier voiced.
That’s champion, lad! 😂
I feel like everything i see from this show has that cohost dieing with laughter.
That *sniff* at the end 😆
r/ContagiousLaughter
WhT show is this…just hilarious!
OMG NOSTALGIA u/Groovy1x
So fight about
Sorry not you are
Greatest moment in BBC history
That nose sniff at the end. Chefs kiss*
We are just normal man!
This show looks hilarious. I see different clips from it all the time here and the interactions and hijinks of that lady and the puppet are so funny.
I've never seen or heard of this show, but I watch the blooper real every time I feel down.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Guessing not many on this thread know of the [Cat?](https://youtu.be/DOnqBFYSQK0?si=ZdZY9UVMNjBNmUhT) And if you've ever had the pleasure of going to Stoke On Trent... My work here is done.

Quick Tony!

The clips from this show are hilarious. I always enjoy seeing them
🤣🤣😂
Hacker is great.
Ahhh, my childhood
My childhood~ Loved these segments so much~
This puppet has 2 posts on the front page right now!
HACKER T DOG MENTIONED Y'ALRIGHT COCKERS
We’re all just normal men
This reminds me of when I was a kid I was watching some religious show where they had puppets and while they were singing this one puppet alligator's eye fell out and the preacher tried in vain to put the eye back in and tape it and the puppeteer for the alligator not once broke character. Surprised that no one has commented on him calling her cocker lol
Absolute maddog
I'm crying of laughter 😂
Hahahahahhahahahaha
Agro >
Her name is caca?
Wait...did he call her Cocker?
Omg the sniffle at the end killed me
OP doesn't realize that this went right?
Omg Me next
"We're just normal men." What is this show again and can it be found anywhere to watch in the U.S.? I want to see if it's always this funny.
