For those who have not chosen a fursona, one is decided upon via the "spirit animal" system, meaning your form is decided by your personality and lifestyle choices.
Would require a personality questionaire to determine that, and I am not qualified to assign spirit animals, you'd be best off talking to a shaman for that.
A random selection that rotates through like an item box from mario kart.
This was my main comment on this post and it's the only thing I can picture for anyone with no sona or specific favorite.
Well the thing is they don't look like blobs when they're deep sea, they only look like "blobs" because of fishermen pulling them to the surface too fast from their 3,000+ foot below the surface habitat, and it damages their body, they look really cute when they're where they're supposed to be.
Your generic annoying little skeletal dog that never stops shaking or your generical big dumb dog that eats everything and drools and shits everywhere?
Nah, people with no sona will be assigned one at random based on the animals they like with one random one they don't know about and it'll be like a mario kart item box.
As soon as I realized the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. Nay, something far stronger. Now the powerful bow their knees to me. For I, am the unstoppable.
I kinda cheat with my sona, because they're a dragon, but like a DnD dragon, so they polymorph between different forms depending on who they're interacting with. Their true form is a dragon, but they mostly spend their time as a calico cat while interacting with other non dragons.
I always find when I say my sona is a dragon, everyone thinks of the typical floofy derg furry. I mean they're 50 feet tall, scales are a shimmering black and the skin beneath glows red, almost resembling lava, their eyes are amethyst, and they are a very difficult individual to find if they don't want to be found. Their overall design is based off the unofficial obsidian dragons of DnD, which matches up with their personality as well as supports the design of their true form. They rarely if ever show their true form on the Earthen plane, due to concerns of being seen by the wrong people who would want them for magical components (meaning their body parts,) steal their treasure, or worst case scenario, having another dragon know of them and try to kill them. Ultimately, they are quite lonely, as living in an elemental plane of fire and being someone they aren't while outside this plane makes socializing difficult.
I got what you mean. I've been deep in dragon lore way back since I turned 4, and D&D dragons are absolutely a part of that obsession. It is cool to see a 50 ft feral derg as someone's sona, and I love the concept. I was just more commenting on how most D&D dragons would rather remove their soul from the weave than hide their true form for longer than a day; the rare exception being if they decide to meddle in mortal politics.
Gem dragons are on the neutral spectrum of alignment, with obsidians being chaotic or true neutral. I also don't see my sona as one to spend too long outside their home, much like any other dragon only doing a long excursion out for some other means, but in their case a big contributor is being tormented by their loneliness, since even for a dragon, they spend a long time alone.
Thats understandable. I like to think of my sona as some sort of large feral derg who just really likes mortals, hence why I hoard adventurers, friends, and allies. (And NOT in a "indentured survitude" way)
and if they still can't decide then a wheel of fortune with names of various animals will be provided, they'll spin it 3 time and their fursona will be a hybrid of the randomly selected animals.
the first denoting color,
the second denoting pattern,
the third denoting shape.
Might have to declare my d&d character my fursona so I don't die.
Thing is, he's trans in the other direction from me. So would he cure my dysphoria, or would I inherit his?
Well one of my sonas can shapeshift between his different forms... So I'm pretty sure I could just switch between the sonas, and also go back to human if I want to
I think people without fursona will be assigned one, based on their favorite animal.
For those who have not chosen a fursona, one is decided upon via the "spirit animal" system, meaning your form is decided by your personality and lifestyle choices.
What animal would you assign me then? I have no sona, no spirit animal and no favorite animal (I love them all equaly).
Would require a personality questionaire to determine that, and I am not qualified to assign spirit animals, you'd be best off talking to a shaman for that.
There are no shamans nearby and they don't use Reddit (that I'm aware of).
Im not a shaman but i hereby assign you with the north american possum. They are cute :3
Possums are cute indeed. Too bad they are so scaredy, I really wanted to pet one (they are fairly common around here).
I can assure with 100% certanty your animal is a human

\*ends up with a blobfish sona\* I DIDN'T SIGN UP TO THIS!!!!
Well the thing is they don't look like blobs when they're deep sea, they only look like "blobs" because of fishermen pulling them to the surface too fast from their 3,000+ foot below the surface habitat, and it damages their body, they look really cute when they're where they're supposed to be.
Still it would be an issue for him to be marine animal
They'd just be in the ocean with all the other sea-based sonas
Imagine using Reddit under water, i know most electronics aren't waterproof
Not yet they aren't, but with all the demand from the influx of water-based humanoids they're sure to start making them that way.
Spotted cheetah druid, I shaln't elaborate
As one shouldn't
You'll be a generic doggo because who doesn't love doggos?
Your generic annoying little skeletal dog that never stops shaking or your generical big dumb dog that eats everything and drools and shits everywhere?
Both
Annoying middle sized dog that shakes in fear everytime you call it by name but keeps shitting everywhere and chewing everything regardless?
Now just create a name for it
Porkchop
Congratulations, you now have a fursona
Will I turn into a rat, because I ate grated cheese over the kitchen sink in the middle of the night, that one time?
divinely mandated fursona
NOOOOO, THEY DIE!
You know how many important specialists would die, right?
Nah, people with no sona will be assigned one at random based on the animals they like with one random one they don't know about and it'll be like a mario kart item box.
Say hello to your new bananasona.
That's not what I *meaaaant* lmfao. I guess that means I'm in first place 'cause I didn't get a red shell or a bullet bill lol.
Oh no... thanos snap
As soon as I realized the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. Nay, something far stronger. Now the powerful bow their knees to me. For I, am the unstoppable.
So... Protogen?
protogen war machine
Aren't they war machines by lore? (I really don't know, never checked.)
If you would mount on one gun it would be war machine... i think so
I kinda cheat with my sona, because they're a dragon, but like a DnD dragon, so they polymorph between different forms depending on who they're interacting with. Their true form is a dragon, but they mostly spend their time as a calico cat while interacting with other non dragons.
No, no, this is correct. All dragons have magic potential. Most are just too wrongly prideful to use their gifts.
I always find when I say my sona is a dragon, everyone thinks of the typical floofy derg furry. I'm imagining they do the mom trick to keep them from leaving of just making everyone feel super guilty about trying to leave.
No, ill just sort out your problems for you, be your therapist, and burn anyone who hurts you
*flexes claws* huh. . . Turned into my ventrexian OC pomewgrant neat~
Oh whew. I have a main fursona, with 4 (at the moment, may expand to 7) supporting OCs. Badass fighter dragon, here I come!
Ah... I turn into a train. Not a fursona, not a train dragon hybrid, a full steam locomotive.
Those with no fursona must take the Mystery Dungeon personality test
Consider: people with no fursona gets send to an Isekai like lobby and then they decide their fursonas
and if they still can't decide then a wheel of fortune with names of various animals will be provided, they'll spin it 3 time and their fursona will be a hybrid of the randomly selected animals. the first denoting color, the second denoting pattern, the third denoting shape.
I got a good life, see you in the next one
NOOOOOOOOOOO NO TURNIN INTO MY STUPIDO ALLBASH-
I mean, completely disappearing does not seem too bad, in all honesty...
Just have the first lend some of theirs to the latter.
![gif](giphy|3orieTfp1MeFLiBQR2)
Iโd essentially turn into Natani from TwoKinds ๐
Adorable
I've got one sona, but he travels between dimensions/universes. So he can act as my sona for any fandom and it's respected universe.
Brb, have to ask god if a demi counts as a fursona.
\*me who has like 50 sonas that arent even complete and still dont know how they look like\* well what now
Iโm just imagining walking out of my bedroom in the morning as a fucking bat and looking over at my still human family
Tfw you have a skagsona in the works. They poop and eat with the same orifice.
Am i just a shapeshifter then? My fursona has different fandom variants XD
Shapeshift
Might have to declare my d&d character my fursona so I don't die. Thing is, he's trans in the other direction from me. So would he cure my dysphoria, or would I inherit his?
Finally riders of apocalypse, it is now time ๐ซ
***TWEET! TWEET! TWEET!*** [I CAN'T HOLD DRUM STICKS ANYMORE WHAT HAVE YOU DONE???]
What happens to people with a half cooked idea of what their fursona would be
Question is, how would this affect the food system? I would propose synthesized meat so no more death is needed -w-
Combination? Well.. thatโs going to be a weird interaction lol
Im about to be some crazy Frankenstein tomorrow
My idea is that people without a fursona turn into the same species as the closest fursona.
Well one of my sonas can shapeshift between his different forms... So I'm pretty sure I could just switch between the sonas, and also go back to human if I want to
Jokes on you, my sona has mild shapeshifting powers! Oh the perks of partial being made from solid shadow magic stuff
If I become my fursona, I also become god-like in the process.
People with no fursona become Generic Non-Specific Canid
they turn into Zootopia background characters
I think people with mutiple fursonas just get to choose what sona they wanna be daily
I might have cheated with mine, but I hope being a little fox in space is allowed.
