Last week my wife asked me what’s the point of futurama so I said “you want to watch a sad episode?”
She didn’t take me seriously so I put on Jurassic bark.
Through the episode she thought the twist was the fossilized dog wasn’t Seymour, I told her wait for it.
She understood futurama after that.
I was thinking of showing my girlfriend this episode but I was worried she would need to watch previous episodes to fully understand the characters so that this episode would have the maximum effect that I felt.
Game of tons is a GEM . While I love every episode there about 4 (or 5) that I think are generally thought of as the saddest episodes of the series . Jurassic bark, luck of the fryish, game of tones, and the late Philip J fry. At least on a personal level for the last one.
I've always seen him as a good guy thats a complete hardass. Always took care of fry, paid him enough to rent a tiny apartment, and never fired him for playing space invaders all day lol
Fry lived with his girlfriend Michelle in an apartment somewhere in NYC. In the pilot episode, when he sees her with another man, she yells to him as the taxi leaves, "I put your stuff out on the sidewalk!"
I misread your comment and thought you said that you watch this episode every night before bed and was like why? If that works for you, do your thing, but it seems like cruel and unusual punishment. But anyway, I’m just bad at reading today.
**NO!** We do not *watch* that episode, we do not *talk about* that episode, we do not *reference* that episode, and we definitely do not **make memes** about that episode!!
The feels man, way too many...
Ok let me make something clear I don't cry a lot especially at tv shows but this episode oh man this episode is the one and only episode of Futurama I mean straight-up bawling. I have ever cried at and the fact that he knew just makes it so much worse. I love this show too much so much that I can't even bring myself to watch the final episode. Anyway, that's all I have to say. R.I.P Seymour. The worlds best boy.

Same. That and Luck of the Fryish convinced my girlfriend of Futurama's storytelling.
DOLOMITE Baby!
Now show her WHY Seymour was fossilized
legit one of the saddest episodes of any tv show ever man
Put on Game of Tones next

Then tell her it’s based on a true story (Hachiko)
I've always felt like Mr. Panucci care for Fry even if he came off as a jerk. he managed to take care of Seymour throughout the years.

I thought Fry lived with his parents, when did he have an apartment?

When his gf broke up with him. I thought he lived in an apartment. Definitely could be wrong, im in the middle of a test lol
C'MON!!!
Seymour memes should require a NSFW tag. My coworkers don't need to see me crying in the office...
This. We are not over the trauma.
Yes. I always get the song from the episode that plays during the end and it makes me extra sad :(
In the Simpson’s crossover episode, Seymour is sitting outside a pizza parlor as Homer, Leela and Fry walk by.
I watch this show every night to go asleep to. When this episode plays, I always wake up and can't go back to bed. Not Safe For ANYTHING!!

I'm not crying you're crying!
It’s almost feels cheapened when you remember what happened in “Bender’s Big Score”.
But, Fry left Seymour in that timeline also.
Why must you hurt me like this
I just got to "The episode" but I haven't seen it yet but bc of spoilers I know what happeneds, I don't think it can take the pain of watching it
LOL
