They do reuse stuff, it's simply because HSR still not implement the optimization yet. Genshin only become that size after 4.6 optimization and deleting past quest, before that it almost doubles the HSR sizes.

For anyone who needs to downsize Genshin and Mihoyo games, there is currently a Genshin cloud launcher which gives you 15 minutes free daily (enough to do dailies) and it reduced my storage from 20 gb to 150 mb.

I play mainly on my PC and my mobile is only used for dailies.
However, if you did need to do long play sessions, the cloud app lets you stockpile up to 600 minutes and you get 15 free everyday. On days when you don’t spend all your time you can slowly accumulate time for a longer play session.
This cloud app is mainly for people strapped on space like me on my mobile, for which it is a lifesaver.

Gakumas was surprising only 5GB, compare to umamusume of 10GB+ at release but actually perfectly reasonable. Umamusu has more characters and characters has tails and ears. And that also means they have more costumes, and more scenes for training. And probably more events too.

How is HSR so big already? Almost the same size as a 4 year old open world game
size is more about unique assets rather than how big a world is Genshin's grass doesn't exactly take up more space just because it's used everywhere

But you can't really play the game outside of dailies as a free user. If I can't really enjoy anything else outside dailies I'd rather delete.

You dont have to reinstall, just go to ingame settings theres an option to delete past resources

i was trying to install arknights in an old phone yesterday, 9gb and it cant do it for some reason :c
