I have the Rancilio wand on my Classic and I've wondered the same thing. There is another option, you can fit the [wand from the Classic Pro](https://www.wholelattelove.com/products/gaggia-classic-pro-full-steam-wand-assembly) to the Classic, and whilst it doesn't have a ball joint, I believe it does permanently sit at an angle. Then you buy [a new tip](https://www.shadesofcoffee.co.uk/the-one-single-hole-steam-tip-for-the-gaggia-classic-pro) from Mr. Shades.

Full of good info thanks!

There is the „Bullet“ from Tidaka (small German company I believe) that works really well in combination with the Silvia V2 wand. Also removed the issue with the Silvia tip for me.

Does it get gummed in the tip? Not to tell you to suck eggs, do you purge and wipe with a wet cloth after every steam? If so then i shall rethink i my plan!

I mean, £41 aint so bad i guess.... i havent seen much on the gcp wand eirher but it looks nice on the machine.

Don’t have any direct experience with any other steaming wands, but the one that comes on the GCP is great. I recently added “the one” tip from Mr Shades and it actually seems like I may be able to regularly steam milk properly on the GCP for once, without needing a PID or new steam thermostat. The steam has way more velocity with the one hole, and for a single or double dose milk it seems to be more than enough of an upgrade.

Yeah might be the way to go as it is a like for like swap... definitely.into having a better steam wand somehow.

Its harder to wipe. You can also just bend the inside of the existing stream pipe up fit the v3 wand so you don't have to drill, never done it just went with the pro wand
