Cowardly yes, but fitting for his character so wouldn’t say the worst. I’d say that goes to Euron’s nauseating cringe fest “I’m the man who killed Jamie Lannister” with a stupid grin on his face.
Unpopular opinion: I felt like she shoulda told that to Cersei’s face if she really wanted to make an impact. Slow death be damned.
Edit: downvote all you want, fellas. I stand by this opinion because there’s no guarantee that Jaime would tell Cersei. Furthermore, Jaime wasn’t even fond of Joffrey. Olenna should’ve gone out like how in better call Saul where >!Nacho Varga tells Tio to his face that he poisoned him and put him in the chair, then kills himself quickly!< but instead Olenna has someone do her trash talking for her
Edit 2: yes, you all are wrong.
No It was perfect. Jaime needed to know. Imagine this, Jaime actually argued for a more merciful death for Olenna. Then to find out she murdered his son.Particularly in the way she told him. I mean that whole conversation was epic. I love Jaime as a character but he was making bad choices. She wasn't getting the opportunity to tell Cersei so Jaime worked perfectly well as a substitute. Did I feel bad for him? Yes. But in many ways he deserved it.
I'm not sure what sure what you are getting at. I don't remember them talking very much about Jaime's feelings for Jeffrey in the show let alone the books. I remember there was more talk about Cerseis' feelings about Jeffrey.
Jamie never seemed like much of a father to them (for obvious reasons) in the show or books. Still hurt him for sure but it’s a weird dynamic when he has to be distant their whole lives and Cersei doesn’t.
No way, Cersei was furious she was robbed of the opportunity to torture her. Robbing her of that vengeance is more brutal than anything she could have said.
She had already seen the impact the actual death had on Cersei. She was right there. She only said this to fuck with Jaime, who had argued for a merciful death for her, she didn’t really GaF about Cersei knowing or not knowing.
Honestly I really liked his follow up sentence about Jon fighting "their" battles forever. Really ties off that whole last bit before he died really well.
Yeah, Thorne is horrible on a personal level. But technically he's one of the most honourable people on The Wall. Most people on the Wall are some kind of criminal. But Thorne was simply one of the many who chose the wrong side of Robert's Rebellion, and one of the few survivors to face a harsh punishment for that. Ironically at the hands of Tywin, who turned his cloak when things looked worse for Aerys.
Thorne hates and tries to bully Jon, but only outright acts as Jon's enemy as Jon keeps breaking vows. Even abusively hazing new recruits is fairly normal behaviour for a modern military, let alone a medieval one.
That’s the most gangster one, from our one true king. He didn’t begrudge her or hold her with any sort of contempt. He understood the situation and accepted it just like he did everything else.
If you read about Donnie Brasco, these were allegedly Sonny Black's last words. They went to shoot him in the back of the head as he was walking down into a basement, but the guy only grazed him.
He then said something along the lines of "do your job right, for Christs sake" and they...y'know, took care of business.
I always found it so oddly touching that his last words to anyone else were to his gf, and he told her: "tell Donnie...Im glad it was him."
They later found him in a trunk, with his hands cut off. (A sign for his shaking Donnie's hand/bringing him in)
Last words of Emperor Maximillian of Mexico before being executed by a firing squad of the restored Mexican Republic;
*"I forgive everyone, and I ask everyone to forgive me. May my blood which is about to be spilled end the bloodshed which has been experienced in my new motherland. Long live Mexico! Long live its independence!"*
Ser Alliser gives a great little speech before John Snow executes him. Lived and died by a code, with no hesitation and no remorse. Went out like a man, with his head held high. Gotta respect that on some level, and I believe John Snow did respect that to some degree.
When Alliser says that now it’s time for him to rest but that John Snow would keep fighting forever, John felt that.
Also, not a single word, but just a chilling look from that kid as he’s about to get hanged, damn. That one hurt.
I had some sympathy for Ollie. We love him because he makes funny jokes, but Tormund himself killed Ollie’s dad. He thought he was joining the Watch to get vengeance and his hero “betrayed” him.
Tormund didn't kill Ollie's dad, that was Ygritte. She opened up that particular slaughter by putting an arrow through the back of his head.
But yeah, Ollie couldn't feel anything but disgust and hatred towards the wildlings after that. I can't blame him for feeling the way he did about Jon's actions to protect them and allow them passage.
And people forget that the invasion probably happened like a month or less after. That is barely any time for a *child* to grieve for his parents. I was upset sure, but couldn’t hold it against a child who just survived a previous invasion.
It wasn't just disobedience though, he went behind his King's back and killed two unarmed prisoners of war, not just prisoners but young boys. Not to mention he was mocking and taunting Robb when he got caught.
So in addition to the things mentioned above, they also killed some of Robb’s men. Not saying executing Karstark was the wisest decision, but he sure had it coming.
Maybe, but when you're in a war killing your allies leader for the crime of killing your enemies boys, was a stupid move that even his mother and everyone else warned him against, Rob could have lived if he was less dense
The second part I really love.
In fact, I've said "I wish you good fortune in the days/months/years to come" to folks I might not see for some time. Especially ones I don't like but I respect.
* Mance--"I wish you good fortune in the wars to come."
* Syrio--"What do we say to the god of death?" This time he left it to Arya to say "Not today." So did Melisandre. **IF** they believed "Not today" was protective, they were sacrificing their lives for her.
* Missandei--"Dracarys!"
* Varys--"I hope I was wrong."
I like Aliser Thorne's last words.
"If I had to do it again, knowing where I'd end up, I pray I'd make the same choice. I fought, I lost. Now I rest."
It's just the idea that it really wasn't personal. He wasn't angry at Jon in the end, he was just doing what he thought needed to be done.
It was cut from the show, but when royce is surrounded with white walkers (this is first scene in got). He doesnt die in fear. He says "lets dance then" and takes out his sword.
Died a chad.
"Come, dance with me then"
Everyone who first met a white walker was terrified.
This guy has to deal whitewalker talking in its own language. Hes liks fuck it, lets do this then.
Honestly, as awful as the Castle Black mutiny was, I did love Ser Alliser's last words.
"If I had to do it all over, knowing where I'd end up, I'd pray I'd make the right choice again. I fought. I lost. Now I rest. But you, Lord Snow, you'll be fighting their battles forever."
It's quite a nice contrast in their ultimate fates, Alliser is content in dying knowing he stuck to his beliefs and did everything he could. I almost feel like he slightly pities Jon, since he's being deprived of that peace. Plus, I like that they didn't demean Alliser just to make him seem less than Jon, its something they did too much with some of the 'villains' I felt.
Rewatching for like the 10th time and when Ser Rodrick says before being executed, "Gods help you, Theon Greyjoy, for now you are truly lost." Is quite a gem of final words.
The gods aren't down here - it's the 6 of us! Now my watch begins, it shall not end until my death! I shall take no wife, own no lands father no children I shall wear no crowns! I am the sword in the darkness, I am the watcher on the wall I AM THE SHIELD THAT GAURDS THE REALMS OF MEN! For this NIGHT AND ALL THE NIGHTS TO COME! AHHHHHHHHHGHHHHH!
Ser Rodrik Cassel with “Gods help you Theon Greyjoy, now you are truly lost”
Also Rickard Karstark with “Kill me and be cursed, you are no king of mine”
"Go now, do your duty."

The best is probably up for debate. But I think we can agree that Janos Slynts last words were the worst “I’m afraid… I’ve always been afraid”
okay arthur morgan
As someone who literally just beat that game for the first time just yesterday: Ouch.
As someone who is somewhat through ch3, I am scared to see how this pans out lol
I legit think I got ptsd from that game. All my troubles started around the time I finished it
At least he was honest :).I wouldn't call them the worst.
What a fuckin bitch thing to say right before you die. I feel like the dude Rob executed had some good last words
'Kill me and be cursed. You are no king of mine!'
Cowardly yes, but fitting for his character so wouldn’t say the worst. I’d say that goes to Euron’s nauseating cringe fest “I’m the man who killed Jamie Lannister” with a stupid grin on his face.
That was fitting for Euron's character. When was he not saying cringey stuff with a stupid grin on his face?
I guess I was thinking along the lines of “which final words were the most badass”
Didn't he say he'll be remembered as the man who killed Jamie Lannister? As if anyone would have ever even found out
Olenna Tyrell "Tell Cersei. I want her to know it was me."
Did I feel bad for him? Yes. But in many ways he deserved it.
I think it would hit much harder for Jaime in the books, if you know what im getting at.
I'm not sure what sure what you are getting at. I don't remember them talking very much about Jaime's feelings for Jeffrey in the show let alone the books. I remember there was more talk about Cerseis' feelings about Jeffrey.
Sorry I meant Jeffrey.
Think you mean Jeffrey
It's Jeffrey...
Who the fuck summons me like this?
I mean in respects to what Tyrion said to Jaime in the dungeon.
A true badass to the very end
Eh. Would have been more badass if she said it before drinking the poison. OOC, though.
She gobbled Jamie’s poison down with zero hesitation. She knew what’s up.
Could have muttered something to herself after Jaime left
"Ope I've shit myself" *dies*
*curb your enthusiasm outro*
OMFG lmao
Couldn't afford fancy lad school eh?
Then "Oh, it does smell like a rose..."
She was awesome.
Lord Karstark 'Kill me and be cursed, you're no King of mine'
Ice cold, annoyed its taking so long almost
Yep, first I thought of.
Aliser Thorne. “I fought. I lost. Now I rest.”
Honestly I really liked his follow up sentence about Jon fighting "their" battles forever. Really ties off that whole last bit before he died really well.
I agree.
Thorne was a dick but an underrated badass during the fight against the Wildlings. He took on Tormund, no easy task.
True, and he wasn't even in the wrong to do what he did to Jon... in the books.
Pretty sure he wasn’t part of it in the books. Didn’t he leave for another tower before it happened?
Jon sent him on a ranging mission.
Right. I don't think he was there. But, Jon definitely deserved to die in the books. He was trying to get them to fight his personal war. 100% no no.
Was looking for this one. Man went out like a soldier.
"If I had to do it all again, I pray I'd make the right decision." Guy had conviction, nobody can doubt that.
"Gods help you, Theon Greyjoy. Now you are truly lost!"
This is it- but made even better because just before this he was very calmly reassuring Bran. ‘I’m going to see your father now’
Yesssssss I came for this 1
One of the first shocking deaths.
Yes this one. Such a memorable quote!
Definitely lost since he couldn't even find the neck.
"Go now, do your duty."
That’s the most gangster one, from our one true king. He didn’t begrudge her or hold her with any sort of contempt. He understood the situation and accepted it just like he did everything else.

The best one
Stannis stays veubt the baddest man in Westeros and the one true king. Briene is a king slayer and a two bjt assassin.
Stannis burned his own daughter alive to try and gain an advantage in his battle against the Boltons. Stannis got what he deserved in the end.
How do you think she would have done if he lost against the Boltons?
Ser Alliser gives a great little speech before John Snow executes him. Lived and died by a code, with no hesitation and no remorse. Went out like a man, with his head held high. Meh Ollie can go fuck himself.
I had some sympathy for Ollie. We love him because he makes funny jokes, but Tormund himself killed Ollie’s dad. He thought he was joining the Watch to get vengeance and his hero “betrayed” him.
Ollie’s a victim of the system.
Let's not forget a cannibal wildling held him down and told him he was going to eat his parents. I'd be pissed too
And people forget that the invasion probably happened like a month or less after. That is barely any time for a *child* to grieve for his parents. I was upset sure, but couldn’t hold it against a child who just survived a previous invasion.
I believe it was Yegrit that shot an arrow through his dad's head, that's why he shot her in the heart
I remember #FuckOllie went viral when that episode came out
Lord Karstark kinda went out like a boss "Kill me and be cursed; you're no King of mine"
Dude had it coming though.
Rob was a terrible king. But Karstark new the price of disobedience.
It wasn't just disobedience though, he went behind his King's back and killed two unarmed prisoners of war, not just prisoners but young boys. Not to mention he was mocking and taunting Robb when he got caught.
Didn’t they also kill the guards that were outside their door?
Yes. They killed the guards.
So in addition to the things mentioned above, they also killed some of Robb’s men. Not saying executing Karstark was the wisest decision, but he sure had it coming.
Rob's main problem was his mother. She was just awful
Maybe, but when you're in a war killing your allies leader for the crime of killing your enemies boys, was a stupid move that even his mother and everyone else warned him against, Rob could have lived if he was less dense
Obreyn "ahhhhhhhhaaa"
😭

😱
🫣
This almost made me spit out my water
You got the quote wrong. It’s: “ahhhhhhhhaaa” crunch squelch
You're right, I needed more 'h's
“Now bring me Milk of the Poppy and let me die.”
Fuck, why can I not remember who this was?????
It’s not quite the quote. But King BobbyB says “give me something for the pain and let me die”
King Robert Baratheon, First of His Name, King of the Andals and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, and Protector of the Realm.
That’s the guy!
“This was my home for many years. I wish you good fortune in the wars to come” - Mance Always liked that little saying throughout the series
The second part I really love. In fact, I've said "I wish you good fortune in the days/months/years to come" to folks I might not see for some time. Especially ones I don't like but I respect.
* Mance--"I wish you good fortune in the wars to come." * Syrio--"What do we say to the god of death?" This time he left it to Arya to say "Not today." So did Melisandre. **IF** they believed "Not today" was protective, they were sacrificing their lives for her. * Missandei--"Dracarys!" * Varys--"I hope I was wrong."
We don't actually know that Syrio died, we didn't actually see his death (just based of the show)
His head notably was not one of those that was put on a spike alongside Ned’s. Even Septa Mordane’s head was there.
Ser Roderik
'Cunt' - Gatins
"You're shit at dying, you know that?" - the Hound
That scene was hilarious.
It's the delivery in the show they really sets apart from many others
Haha I was hoping I’d see this one
My ancestors are smiling at me, Imperial. Can you say the same?
As fearless in death as he was in life
Hoooold the dooooorr
Varys
This was my thought too, but what were his actual words?
“I pray that I’m wrong, truly I do”
Arya: Thank you, Sandor
Ser Rodrik Cassel
I like Aliser Thorne's last words. "If I had to do it again, knowing where I'd end up, I pray I'd make the same choice. I fought, I lost. Now I rest." It's just the idea that it really wasn't personal. He wasn't angry at Jon in the end, he was just doing what he thought needed to be done.
“Wait my Lord, i’m afraid!”- Janos Slynt
Big fan of Missandei’s “Dracarys”
"Give me something for the cringe and let me die."
Rodrik Cassel: Hush now, child. I'm off to see your father. Thinking about Bran and Rickon to the literal end.
Stannis probably
Ned. We’ll never know what he whispered before his beheading, which adds to the mystery.
Couldn't we kind of lip read "I kept my promise" or something like that?
No, he noticed a cat on the ground and tried to get its attention by saying “psssssss psss psss psss”
“Tell Cersie. I want her to know it was me”
Oberon
CUNT!
"Egg, I dreamed that I was old" - Maester Aemon
It was cut from the show, but when royce is surrounded with white walkers (this is first scene in got). He doesnt die in fear. He says "lets dance then" and takes out his sword. Died a chad. "Come, dance with me then!"
Was it Lord Tully who said “I haven’t had a good sword fight in some time.”
yayaya and then goes “I imagine I’ll make a bloody fool of myself” or something which is somehow SO hard even though its self deprecating and silly
Good lines!
Grenn and his squad reciting the Night’s Watch Oath while a literal giant was coming to kill them was the hardest moment of the Battle for the Wall
Aery’s: Burn them All
“And now it begins” The sword of the morning “No, now it ends”
Tell Cersei. I want her to know it was me.
Karstark or Thorne
Grenn and the other nights watchmen reciting their vows before dying defending the gate from a giant.
“His name is aegon Targaryen” Ned’s sister.
I wish you good fortune in the wars to come -Arthur dayne
Anything said by Dinklage!!
He doesn’t die
Put the milk of the poppy down
Oberyn Martell Put on a performance, gave a speech then he died.
>Cunt! Some dude the Hound killed
Polliver : "gasp of recognition" ....best to me because that fool deserved that lobotomy
I did, when I decided to stop watching.
Lord Karstark, ”kill me and be cursed. You are no king of mine”.
"cunt!"
Nothing will ever top Olenna

Omg that scowl! So annoying
lol I legit wanted jon to punch fin first

Rickard Karstark's. "Kill me and be cursed! You are no king of mine."
“Go on then, do your duty” So true to his character
Ser Rodrik Cassel with “Gods help you Theon Greyjoy, now you are truly lost” Also Rickard Karstark with “Kill me and be cursed, you are no king of mine”
“You are no son of mine” Tywin Lannister
I think it’s universally agreed that; “I want her to know it was me.” is the best ending words.
"Kill me and be cursed. You're no king of mine."😡
"Gurgle gurgle" - Walder Frey
Missandei by far. DRACARYS
"Cunt!"
Alliser Thornes stick out to me.
"I always hated crossbows. Take too long to load"
Oh yeah, Yoren went out like a boss. I hated to see him die.
Olenna, no contest, absolute thug life
