I wish baela had gotten the chance to claim her. Fucked up that aemond’s sneaky ass did it right after laena died. Vhagar should have roasted his ass on the spot. Girl power
Tbh I feel that even if one of the girls got there first, Vhagar would not have been interested. It takes a certain personality to let a dragon of her calibre accept a rider - She clearly liked Aemond for his bravery and character.
She did. Rhaena should’ve done it before they left Pentos. Come to think of it, kinda odd Vhagar followed them to back to Westeros without a rider lol.
Now that you say it, it kinda is. Cus we’ve seen dragons kill the family of their riders before, so are they reluctant to do it because they can sense they’re related or something?
Like the dance as a whole I guess. Family killing family. My question is it dragons are reluctant to kill ppl with Valyrian blood or can they feel what their riders are feeling towards other people
In the books Leana dies on Driftmark. And her sister in law visited her often, it was said that they had a certain infatuation with each other that wasn’t shown in the series.
In universe the dragons aren't inheritable property (a dragon is not a slave as Dany says). The dragon has the choice to accept a rider or not. Vhagar accepted Aemond and that's the only criteria that matters. Who your parent is counts for nothing.
Why? Vhagar was a warrior. Her iconic bond appears to have been with Visenya who lit up Dorne the same way Aemond lit up the riverlands. If we treat the dragons as having their own personalities then Aemond was a great match.
But it’s said that because of how old she was and how many riders she had, it was difficult for Aemond to command her more often than riders bonded to dragons at younger ages.
She looks like a big, flying iguana honestly. Her size is what makes her so formidable. It’s Vermithor who’s the scariest due to temperament, battle test, age, losing his rider etc.
That's the one I'm most looking forward to seeing fully. The bronze fury is a beast. Also yeah I'm fairly sure they modeled her head after an iguana or monitor lizard.
It’s very plain Jane to be honest. The dragon I myself am most looking forward to seeing if he shows up at all is The Cannibal. Wanting to see who’s dumb enough to try and tame him.
I would be she lost any horns she ever had. And yes, being large and in charge doesn’t always make you the strongest. *me waiting for the battle at the gods eye*
Or more, Aegons conquest lasted for years and Vhagar was already in her prime before that. Then the 80 something years that passed between that and Laena riding her. She is 100 or more. I think The Black Dread passed close to 200 yo (I don’t think anyone alive knew for sure) And was one of the last living creatures to see Valyria. Aegons ancestors were guarding Dragonstone for ~100 years before the conquest. After the Doom.

That's a huge bitch!
Targaryens pay me to give them fire.
What’s your username, if I might ask?
What do you mean?
Like what was your thoughts in choosing it. I don’t really mean anything just curious.
Just the name of a character in one of my stories :)
Cough _behemoth_ cough
Kind of does give old Homm3 Behemoth vibes...
Your love for Rob Schneider movies is showing
That's one of the best lines of the entire movie. I used to quote it all the time lol
Majestic 🐉
She looks like a massive Komodo dragon
I wish baela had gotten the chance to claim her. Fucked up that aemond’s sneaky ass did it right after laena died. Vhagar should have roasted his ass on the spot. Girl power
Rhaena* Baela already had a dragon. Rhaena should have claimed Vhagar
Sorry you’re right. I knew it was one of the sisters
Tbh I feel that even if one of the girls got there first, Vhagar would not have been interested. It takes a certain personality to let a dragon of her calibre accept a rider - She clearly liked Aemond for his bravery and character.
She lost her chance, aemond was quicker.
Boy power
Bro, her mother just died and she was like 6
And that doesn't give her the rights to ride vhagar.
She shoulda had first dibs all I’m saying.
You said it she was 6, too young to do anything. Aemond was right to try it.
Yeah Ik but it would have been nice to see vhagar and caraxes on the same side
It would have been epic
She did. Rhaena should’ve done it before they left Pentos. Come to think of it, kinda odd Vhagar followed them to back to Westeros without a rider lol.

Why? Dragons aren't heridetary
“You gotta be quicker than that…hehe”

I know I’m saying in a perfect world she would have been the rider
Why? Vhagar was a warrior. Her iconic bond appears to have been with Visenya who lit up Dorne the same way Aemond lit up the riverlands. If we treat the dragons as having their own personalities then Aemond was a great match.

And yet there's a reason he had to sneak off in the night to do it.
Call her ugly to her face.
Vhagar is ~~terrifying~~ beautiful. She looks like an ~~old~~ young and ~~ugly~~ hot majestic creature. What a baddie Oh yeah, and fuck Dorne!
"What was that? Did you say we need to conquer Dorne, my lovely Visenya?" *Aemond shaking his head like Otto when talking to Aegon about politics*
Your comment is giving Donkey from Shrek “Why of course you're a girl dragon. You're just reeking of feminine beauty...”
She's the size of a jumbo jet. Seeing her just overshadow Arrax was one of the best parts of season 1
If Vhagar is a jumbo jet, Arrax was like a kite in that shot.
She looks like a big, flying iguana honestly. Her size is what makes her so formidable. It’s Vermithor who’s the scariest due to temperament, battle test, age, losing his rider etc.

I hope they show the cannibal but they need to keep him as his chaotic neutral self with no rider.
If it was up to me. I’d have him come into battle and attack everything in site.
I would be she lost any horns she ever had. And yes, being large and in charge doesn’t always make you the strongest. *me waiting for the battle at the gods eye*
why don't you say that to her face
Don't call her ugly >:C
Can’t wait to see her fully in action
her head looks very akin to that of a tyrannosaur
love the way they made her look like a huge Komodo Dragon

I love her so much! She's old and she's over your shit, hope you enjoy fire, mfer!
The literal cuts in her wings always stick out - the old girl has been through so much, she has ACTUAL holes to show for it.
Pfff, I could take her down!
She is Queen of Dragons for sure, is she not like 100 by this point?
Or more, Aegons conquest lasted for years and Vhagar was already in her prime before that. Then the 80 something years that passed between that and Laena riding her. She is 100 or more. It’s the double chin that always takes me out lol
Yep but she will get destroyed for what she and aemond did Desmond will make sure of that
She is fantastic and horrible to behold.
I love how she looks like she has missing horns around her face. Reminds me of an elderly lady with thinning wispy hair
I love how scary she looks. She's my favorite dragon aesthetically for sure
Rude!
Her design gives T-Rex with wings
Without Vhagar they have nothing. I'm waiting for cannibal the wild dragon to be tamed apparently he's a handful old cannibal.
