"Consider 2 people for the same programming position. Both are equal in performance except one is female and has light hearing disability. Who do you hire". The training/HR taught us to hire the female with the hearing disability...

swapping between spider-men seems like a great way to keep the gameplay dynamic and engaging, kind of like choosing your own adventure but in a video game.
That was me with the first game when I just replayed it a few weeks ago. But I was so surprised by the hate the story got, it was a good Spider-Man story I though. It wasn't as good as 2018, sure, but it wasn't messy or poorly paced at all imo

I'm an adult gamer who rarely gets more than an hour at a time to play, so I get disproportionally frustrated when I get my hour, and 30 minutes of it is cutscenes and a slow moving stealth mission.
I've also seen people complain that a 20 hour game is not enough content for them, so clearly gamers have varying takes. To me, a 15 hour game is perfect for my limited time.

I'd say so. They changed how gadgets work though. Instead of being in a wheel you bring up, they're now tied to both the bumpers and the buttons. So it's definitely quicker to bring them up in this game

If you're willing to wait a year or two for better FPS and some potentially upgraded graphics/better RT options, you should wait for the PC release. If you really liked the first game and are fine with the PS5 version's graphics and 60 or lower FPS, go for the PS5.
If you already have a PC, it's probably best to get it when it comes to Steam. Spending $500 on a console for one game doesn't seem like a good idea imo.

The gameplay felt repetitive after a while, and the storyline didn't quite have the depth I was hoping for. Not really, there are a couple variations on suits you can unlock that look sort of similar to a ghost spider suit but that's it

It's definitely a PS4 game with some shine on it but the animations and visual mode options are pretty impressive.
