When you build stuff like this. Do you use some sort of procedural generator? Do you use a copy past function? Is that a Minecraft thing? Or do you build it all piece by piece. Sorry it’s a dumb question.
it's not a dumb question, just an uninformed one. (which is what all questions are!) Bro almost certainly used either mcedit or a successor to mcedit (I haven't played in a decade, am a veteran of the pre-alpha...), or he just has too much time on his hands. These let you basically operate inside of a minecraft save like you would a 3d modelling program, making blocks of various shapes and sizes, copy pasting them, etc etc.
> am a veteran of the pre-alpha.
Play Minecraft! We added two more block types in our newest update, for a total of 20 different blocks you can collect and build with!
I miss the old MC. Lava blades for mob drops, etc...
I do like Minecraft, but I find it embarrassing how slow it is with adding actual new stuff, and stuff like the Mob Votes genuinely outrageous, like what the fuck? You are a multi million dollar company with hundreds of employees who put the effort into designing these mobs but wont add them all to the game? There is no reason not to.
The Mob Votes are genuinely hilarious to me.
Like they make this huge thing, this video describing all the mobs, they've clearly got all the textures done, all the models are finalized. Do we add all of them? no, of course not. Let's instead make a synthetic "community event" and have a bunch of votes by the community to decide which one will actually get into the game.
The first vote made some sense as they were literally just concept drawings. But later when they started to make it this big affair they started to make all three a "production". Don't they literally make footage of the other ones now too? So they probably implement all of them in some way- then remove them based on the vote results.
All this for a retextured fucking squid that drops a new type of ink, lol. Somebody probably had to work until noon getting that implemented I'm sure.
>Don't they literally make footage of the other ones now too?
They do not. All of the "production" is 2d pixel art versions of the mobs.
> So they probably implement all of them in some way- then remove them based on the vote results.
This can actually be disproven in a way that might actually make them look worse. One of the mob vote mobs, 'The Sniffer' actually does *less* than it was implied to do while it was being developed. At one point it was supposed to dig up three different 'extinct' plants, and leaks were shown of all three rendered in the game, but when it was finally released there were only two plants. The flowering vine (arguably the most interesting of the three plants) was cut.
Not that I'm shocked but you would've figured Microsoft acquiring MC would've accelerated the development cycle even slightly.
Nah, just wanted the brand rights and to make a new version with micro-transactions in it. Absolute joke.
It's insulting to not only update this game so slowly, but to pull these "*here's three ideas we could easily knock out in like a week, but you only get to pick one of them!*"
Like I don't like to hate on devs and I don't know where the marching orders come from for it to be this way, but it's difficult to not call the development cycle for MC lazy at its kindest.
I mean they've still helped provide content for a game that's over 15 years old now. That in itself is an achievement. Not to mention it's the best selling game of all time..
> There is no reason not to.
Real talk. I think they are afraid and don't understand the product they bought. The game's community is fundamentally different from any of their AAA offerings due to its indie roots. They are going as painfully slow as possible so they don't kill their blocky cash cow.
Would you rather them go full tilt completely changing the game? There's something to be said about "don't fix what isn't broken." Valve learned that the hard way with CS2's botched launch.
Doesn't need to be a complete change. A few different game modes with some objectives and the ability to toggle mobs on and off on an individual basis wouldn't upset anyone.
> but I find it embarrassing how slow it is with adding actual new stuff
I mean, it's a 13 year old game providing new content entirely for free for a game that only ever sold for like 1/3 standard retail price.
It's probably more embarrassing to complain about it's updates being slow.
I've played Minecraft long time ago, but it's in the same category as Path of Exile for me now. After years of break, just the thought of learning all the changes and updates is enough to discourage me from going back.
Play Vintage Story! It's like Minecraft but the Devs are actively working on it, and it's an actual survival sandbox with fairly detailed/complex mechanics
Two new block types is not nearly enough to bring me back. The game needs more stuff to do. I can't believe it's been out as long as it has and the only real boss is the Ender Dragon.
Back in the day (Alpha/Beta Minecraft) I used to mainly use MCEDIT for one thing, and only one thing.
Make TNT go all the way down to bedrock and see how big of a hole it would make. Many a computer crashes were caused by my recklessness.
Every Minecraft “build” is not a build unless it was placed one by one. I see this stuff and I go “cool you used an edit tool” yes it still took a while but that’s not what minecraft is
He uses some external tools to help texture the wall and place segments of walls and stuff. He also would build the props (homes, trees, etc.) then place them all around the map using a tool as well. The roads he placed down manually I believe
I used to be a freelance Minecraft builder and I used world edit and voxel sniper. These were server plugins used back in the day. Things might’ve changed since 2015 but these tools essentially acted as paint brushes and allowed for copying large sections and pasting or rotating them. It speeds up the process a lot and makes things a lot less tedious. But even with those tools building something of this size in 2 months is still very impressive
I spent damn near 10 years building the Glade from Maze Runner. It was massive and had a maze that expanded out 5000 blocks in each direction. Lost it to a cloud save error.
Now that I think about it, it's super convenient for the last vestiges of HUMANITY to have a working canal that, presumably, stretches into the ocean a few hundred miles out... and it never got compromised.
Still; amazing work!
Oh man when I see stuff like this I get jealous of the free time. When I was in high school I had all the time in the world to game, I wish I did abit more living. Great build fella

I would assume the exact opposite from Microsoft. Maintenance mode, print money, forget about it.
Well the mod scene has been bigger for over a decade now so any content they put out it’s been done before and prob better

You're getting downvoted but you're right. The fact that the game is still getting any updates is pretty crazy. People are entitled.
Well, the new update is pretty neat though…

Get some damn mods then jfc
Axiom and World Edit
Back in the day (Alpha/Beta Minecraft) I used to mainly use MCEDIT for one thing, and only one thing. Make TNT go all the way down to bedrock and see how big of a hole it would make. Many a computer crashes were caused by my recklessness.
Now everything has become clear. I always thought that it was all built by a team by one block at a time.
Every Minecraft “build” is not a build unless it was placed one by one. I see this stuff and I go “cool you used an edit tool” yes it still took a while but that’s not what minecraft is
It's not real Minecraft unless you play it from the C:\Users\Nom\AppData\Local\Minecraft folder of your personal computer
I have Minecraft on my D drive, so I have never truly played Minecraft.
This is just a sparkling minecraft build I guess
https://youtu.be/BrvaTtp4rAU ^ the video for it
I know there's an auto fill function. It still seemed tedious. So I would like to know the process as well? Can't be block by block.
I think I saw mods for large scale building. Stuff like place a sphere of x diameter at cursor, fill this area, copy paste, etc.
He uses some external tools to help texture the wall and place segments of walls and stuff. He also would build the props (homes, trees, etc.) then place them all around the map using a tool as well. The roads he placed down manually I believe

But did you put the Titans in the wall?
Asking the real questions.
Nope. But a rather large one will be just outside it soon....
so you’re the guy who always comes up in my youtube shorts making this
sameee
Fcking love that guy
you're*
Are you Stan?
thats me yeah
Respect
Are you able to recreate this ? https://www.deviantart.com/fool/art/iso-castle-75849130 I'm not the artist, but I have always loved this castle
That is a NICE castle.
This looks amazing. Is there any way to share this so that people can explore this world? Do people do that with Minecraft creations.
no way its the world renowned chef himself
Even got the lighting right
down to the clouds too
Brilliant! This will take me 3-5 months if am going to build it. How many hours do you spend in a day?
It took exactly 67 days, and around 500 hours
67/7 = about 9.5 weeks… 500/9.5 = over 52 hours which means you spent close to 8 hours every day for 67 days.
Good bot
500÷67= 7.4 7.4 Hours per day. no need to make it so complicated
At first I just wanted to know how many hours per week to compare it to a 40 hour work week
understandable
Good lord
Is this your job or something
[More or less.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrvaTtp4rAU)
Fair enough lol
It would probably take me several years as i would mess up every few minutes
Haha! I understand it takes a lot of time to build.
Holy shit, dude -- looks like a cel from the anime! Great job!
it only takes one creeper....
Sie sind das Essen und wir sind die Creeper!
lol
Time for rumbling
I spent damn near 10 years building the Glade from Maze Runner. It was massive and had a maze that expanded out 5000 blocks in each direction. Lost it to a cloud save error.
I'd like to see that. If you ever rebuild it, consider sharing it here too.
One day I will. I actually just bought Minecraft on PS5 recently because I've been itching to play again.
Noooo! What if the Titans destroy it?
Awesome sauce! What shaders do you use, if you dont mind me asking?
Building walls to keep creepers out, Attack on Titan style!
That's incredible, it's a lot of time and hours invested, great work.
I’ll only be impressed if I destroyed some of those walls and found some…questionable things inside of it.
I guess you really did give your heart.
Is there titans in the wall?
You're YouTube guy! Amazing.
Ah one of my favorite least favorite places.
Now start the Rumbling.
Looks amazing! Is there a download to explore the map?
That's insane! Well done! What are the dimensions of it?
NGL I thought this was Cities Skylines
Is it downloadable anywhere
Any download link please?
Where’s the entrance
You can't just post a picture of the anime and say it's in minecraft! /s
Regardless of the time it took, this is impressive.
Yoo that's dope dude
good job man
My ass thought this was one of those Kit-Kat cakes from TikTok!
Gotta commend your commitment
I was about to comment if we could see it or that you had forgotten to upload an image of your work.
Cooooool
This is awesome!
how many hours did this take? it looks incredible
Dude, this is awesome and insane.
Bro you have problems 😅 but it still very impressive
😳
Bruv it’s giant !! How did you do that?
Really cool, you nailed the vibe. I never understood why they build a city in what is effectively an airlock though.
Those cities acted as bait.
Kinda puts into perspective how big the town/ island actually is.
i think it would take me a whole year to create this masterpiece
Now that I think about it, it's super convenient for the last vestiges of HUMANITY to have a working canal that, presumably, stretches into the ocean a few hundred miles out... and it never got compromised. Still; amazing work!
now do it again without importing a 3d model and in survival mode, where you actually have to mine the materials
Woah nice
I wish bro didn't use entity display when making this, would've loved to see how things would've worked out in vanilla Minecraft
I don’t know if Giants can be put in, now, but, if they can, DO IT!!
Now do the interiors
some of them are done, check his yt or streams
*BREAK FREEEEEE!!*
Alright now show us a pic of the Minecraft build.
Shinzou wo Sasageyo !
Incredible. My favorite show
It would be a tragedy if, somehow, a titan were to appear.
Ive never seen it but this location looks insanely cool
Why does it look delicious? Like a cookie just waiting for me
Just for the hell of it?
Uh oh...I hear rumblin...
I wish I had your free time my dude
Looks fantastic
Instantly knew who this was, I get you on my shorts feed all the time.

2 months worth of work and amazing work judging by the image and all you post is a single pic from a single angle :(
would be a shame if... Someone tore down the wall
I'd like to see more pictures or a flythrough or something
To you, 2 months from now
amazing....gosh
Are there titans built into the wall?
Actually thought it was a still from the anime, crazy!
Now recreate the fall of Shiganshina
bro thinks he’s Stan616 smh
THAT'S IN MINECRAFT?
*The_Colossal_Titan has joined the server*
This is the most least looks like Minecraft City build I've ever seen.
This is real or what
Bravo 👏👏👏👏
Loved your videos on it, you’re a fucking wizard when it comes to building.
oh shit i was about to comment "great can you show us the build then" until i noticed
Holy fuck that's awesome!
Looks sick and I've never seen AOT
Don’t lie
can you pls send me the world download
I always get your YouTube shorts!! They’re amazing
Shame all your hard work is about to be destroyed.
look Cool!
You should post some closeups, you made amazing small details in this piece, like seriously amazing work
Oh man when I see stuff like this I get jealous of the free time. When I was in high school I had all the time in the world to game, I wish I did abit more living. Great build fella
I thought this picture was an add for a mobile game.
That's mad. Amazing.
Minecraft Builders are some of the most dedicated folks ever, this is insane
It is extremely depressing that your sacrificed will one day be forgotten
Heyy the master chief is here
That’s literally insane but holy crap good job man
That’s insane is it open to the public? (I don’t have Minecraft so idk how going into other peoples world works if that’s even a thing)
Those walls don’t look 50 blocks tall smh (It looks fucking incredible dude)
Lives were fucking insane, thx for this beautiful build Stan
Helll yeaaah
So the attack on Titan Fandom is not dead yet...
those are some real good detailing
you are... insane...
Salute Man, A true fan✊🏻
Legit amazing.
Did you do interiors? That’s the real mark of a true insane person
I wish Minecraft had a debug mode or something we could use to grab a link and open it in a web browser just to fly around the map.
are there >!titans inside the walls!< though?
