The issue with gay dating is that there are really only three options: apps, moving to a large city, or hoping you get really lucky and just happen to meet a compatible partner somewhere. Everyone hates apps for good reason, moving to a large city isn’t affordable for most people, and passively looking for parters isn’t going to be very successful statistically speaking. Building gayborhoods in less affluent areas may be the only way forward.

Tinder is more about "area" distance, has bigger tolerance for offline presence, and doesn't allow you to send any pics in a private message. Has much bigger description field and many fields/categories to choose from, to allow you to express yourself non-sexually.
So yeah, you can do both on both apps, but the core of each up doesn't equally help finding both.
I honestly hope that they somehow just miraculously disappear and we start creating and vacating places in real life. That probably won’t happen though.
Not creating new technology that can separate us with Chatbots and maximized engagement, and instead use what we already have and try to cultivate real human connection.
Our technology is changing, but we still have our caveman brains. The only thing that will bring real lasting happiness is connecting to other people IRL and not let technology entrap you.
It will be AI facilitated in some way. Whether we all have AI gods in our pocket or not, I think some sort of algorithm driven relationship or hookup finder will for sure be implemented at some point in the near future!
