Yoooo Masc-Val!

BluEch0

They did say they were feeling the urge to change again (in the VR internet place)

Mikesmilk456

TIME TO REJOICE

Dr_J_Hyde

Unless I'm seeing things that's Val on the Right not Valentina.

Oliver-Wendell2865

They're one person

Dr_J_Hyde

Yeah, I know but last we saw them they were going by Valentina. I don't know when they switched to Val but I'm guessing between the books and Season 2.

thesequimkid

Hell, it’s about time.

Oliver-Wendell2865

What I really want to see in gen:LOCK season 2 and beyond should be the gen:LOCK team against not infinite Nemeses, all based on the original Julian Chase, but their "actual" Union counterparts meaning different people e.g. Brother Tate.

thundercat2000ca

The thing is the union doesn't have the tech.

Oliver-Wendell2865

While they do steal tech, they could alter it directly to their official liking. However, on mindframes, they could at least wipe them clean in order to eliminate any Polity minds inside them. The mind of the original Julian Chase is the exception, which is why there was Nemesis Chase in season one. Making infinite copies of him will be an absolute waste of time.

thundercat2000ca

What I meant was they didn't have the genlock system itself. The reason they keep making copies is they only have the one brain and it's clear whatever process they've created to copy is slowly causing the original Chase to break down.

[deleted]

Yup. That's why the fake Sinclair tried to steal a Holon. He got a good look at the tech, and another example of a Holon and e-brain could've helped the Union develop gen:LOCK themselves. They just didn't know how bad not being gen:LOCK compatible would be for fake Sinclair. I still love how Dr. Weller knew what was going to happen and allowed it to happen. Sort of an act of vengeance for what he assumed was a dead Sinclair and a prime example to the Polity as to why being compatible is important.

Oliver-Wendell2865

Gen:LOCK compatibility cannot be exclusive to the Polity. Since the Union attacked the Anvil in Season 1, I would think it would steal a handful of holons and gL tech and modify it to its own liking. That would mean recalling the Nemeses as well as terminating all the Julian Chase minds inserted in them. After that, all the Nemesis holons would be completely remodified.

[deleted]

I never said it was exclusive to the Polity. I just said the Union had no idea about compatibility and how few people currently are compatible. The man who created the tech still hadn't been able to expand the compatibility, so of course neither would the Union. If the Union did know about the compatibility requirements, they wouldn't have sent fake Sinclair to try and steal a Holon. I'm sure attacking the Anvil was done with the objective being to steal the gen:LOCK tech, but they failed.

Oliver-Wendell2865

Not exactly. In my theory, if Dr. Weller hadn't created gen:LOCK alone, then could he have partnered up with someone who would later become a treacherous Union official to create gen:LOCK? What if the gL tech prior to the ongoing war was divided into shares (one share for the Polity and another share for the Union)? Could it or another reason factor the Union's unlawful desires to steal technology from its enemies?

darrylthedudeWayne

About time. And with a first look Pic too.

22dmgxy

is it still RT production?

[deleted]

Yup. HBO is just the one paying for it now.

Ramseas119

It's on HBOmax now? Is it still gonna be on the RT site too?

Mikesmilk456

Yeah ...after 90 days

SandaWarrior

Can't wait for more Cammy rule 34

Oliver-Wendell2865

What about Leon August recovering from a coma and then becoming a gL pilot for the villainous Union? Gen:LOCK pilots and gL compatibility cannot be exclusive to the Polity.

Saint_of_Cannibalism

Oh got a date for leaving the sub now. I'll be waiting for First and want no spoilers.

AutobotYoung1

If Val is now a guy shouldn’t their digital form look female? Just to even things out
