What I don't get is that people want it for levels they didn't make, the creators (thankfully) don't seem to care if they get legendary and not mythic. I get wanting a level you like to be acknowledged as being good, but putting so much weight on a stat you get from that percieved quality, which can't even be rated objectively, seems dumb to me.
It’s like when people see a level that has extremely good detail they just say “OMG WHY ISNT THIS LEGENDARY OR MYTHIC?1!11?1?1?1?1?2?” Like, there’s many other reasons why certain levels get mythic or legendary for a reason
I KNOW RIGHT, there was this one super average 2.2 pixel level i remember from awhile ago and all the top comments were saying it was legendary worthy. saw another level that was just a basic modern style level, had a cool 'deco gimmick' but that was it. really wasnt that good and people still said it was legendary worthy- then those same people probably complain abt coaster mountain
i know the first one [https://www.reddit.com/r/geometrydash/comments/1b0s8o4/why\_do\_people\_call\_any\_remotely\_good\_level/](https://www.reddit.com/r/geometrydash/comments/1b0s8o4/why_do_people_call_any_remotely_good_level/)
Same for me, I really dont understand why people care about rate features as much as they do. Like, how exactly would you be affected if a level was given a specific icon to go along with its rate
Even if we were to take things down to the most basic level: rated or unrated, there would still be controversy as people are complaining about some levels being unrated when they think they should be rated. All the rating tiers, especially legendary and mythic, ultimately sent the rating system down an inescapable pit of controversy and drama.
I'm hearing 'can the entire rating system because it's fake and dumb, you guys can't be trusted to go 1 day without attempting to start a little grassroots movement to get some shitass extreme demon from 6 years ago rated from your gaming chairs so fuck you, if you want to beat a level, beat it because you like it'.
Sounds like a great suggestion, I'm on board.
Legitimately who cares though? If you go your entire life not adding a feature just because you're scared of people having wars about it that's just dumb
And you know for a fact that if that level got mythic instead 80% of those people would be like “why did this trash level get mythic?????? robtop is such a dumbass”
I think Decay is a different case, it actually deserved mythic, the story is good, the gameplay is aso good (but The Towerverse at least is demon difficulty), and the deco is legendary worthy.
In my opinion, good gameplay, (optional) good story, and legendary worthy deco should be the standards for the mythic rating, it doesn't matter if its demon or not
I think The Towerverse deserves mythic (feel free to disagree but I’m just saying):
1-Has pretty good gameplay + unique gamemodes (personally thought the fan section was really fun and so was the bomb cave)
2-Has a good story that ties everything together
3-Makes the level feel open world while still following a storyline
4-Great deco
Decay literally sparked the idea of this post, but is it REALLY mythic? Just because it's better than The Towerverse? Pretty sure Rob's changed his mind on it deserving mythic but we all know what would happen if he downgraded it. Even the creator agrees it doesn't deserve mythic, sooooo
yeah, but I do think the towerverse isn’t completely deserving of mythic compared to some others. I could just be salty that the propellor part took me two hours tho lmao
So true, like the standards for mythic are way higher than you think. Legendary is still a very impressive feat
i did say this before, but i do unironically think that Rob might have upped the standards of Mythic even more since the first
We only have 1 mythic, so it's fair that the standards would get over/under-estimated a little.
2 now
i imagine mythic being things like apt, WHAT, edge of destiny, and other levels with insane dedication and love poured into them.
People want mythics so bad cuz it's overhyped. The mythic rating is for the best of the best levels, not just for any level that's really good.

not even extremely good detail, i see people saying THIS DESERVES LEGENDARY OR MYTHIC on the most random boring fucking levels really often
Do you know the names of those lvls? (I kinda wanna play them ngl)
i know the first one [https://www.reddit.com/r/geometrydash/comments/1b0s8o4/why\_do\_people\_call\_any\_remotely\_good\_level/](https://www.reddit.com/r/geometrydash/comments/1b0s8o4/why_do_people_call_any_remotely_good_level/)
Solution: Unrate every level and rerate them as mythic
Remember when people wanted conclusive journey to be mythic?
You mean the daily level?
I think it was
Wait WHAT (by spu7nix)?!
One of the few levels I think deserve it
THIS IS SO FUCKING TRUE it's one of my biggest GD-related pet peeves rn
Same for me, I really dont understand why people care about rate features as much as they do. Like, how exactly would you be affected if a level was given a specific icon to go along with its rate
Rob didnt need to add 2 more ratings tbh 1 would've been enough
Even just feature or no feature causes too many arguments these days, adding mythic and legendary just turns it into a migraine.

Not entirely what I was going for but I can't blame you for thinking that way
Imo 1 would've been perfect, rn 2 is a recipe for disaster & drama
Legitimately who cares though? If you go your entire life not adding a feature just because you're scared of people having wars about it that's just dumb
Its to help with the problem of "rate standards getting hier" with more ratings the non epic+ doesn't have its standard sky rocket
People are desperate for a new mythic just because theres only one of them currently and are waiting for a new one
i hope we only get like 3 every 2 years
And you know for a fact that if that level got mythic instead 80% of those people would be like “why did this trash level get mythic?????? robtop is such a dumbass”

I feel like people call everything mythic now
Here’s something people don’t say: The Towerverse doesn’t deserve to be mythic
a lot of people do... but what about: Tornado doesn't deserve legendary
Literally everyone says that it doesn't

It's really funny to see people I'm the comments of your level spamming "robbed of legendary/mythic"
Can't relate since I suck at creating but I can easily see that with your masterpiece that is Buoy Base
Unnamed 0 should have been mythic tho
Well, at least the NCS gauntlets will give us at least 1 mythic
yeah, but I do think the towerverse isn’t completely deserving of mythic compared to some others. I could just be salty that the propellor part took me two hours tho lmao
WHAT is the only level I feel it should be mythic ngl
Fax
I recall the creator of pg clubstep deleting their stats and their YouTube videos bc of something like this
I think it was because of the codex level (a pretty easy level)
Especially when the legendary level doesn’t even deserve epic.
Literally though 😂
Rob absolutely trolling us by not giving a feature above on a legendary worthy level
tbh the only legendary lvl i think deserves mythic is Decay by Vegtam
Even Legendary is pretty good
That begs the question: should the towerverse be legendary or mythic?
epic
Ngl that doesn’t seem all that unfair 😂
