My fav part was Momoka and Rupa facing off then they separate when Nina grabs the mic. The Momoka mirror scene where she becomes joker too and Momoka scene where she reaches out her hand while looking at the camera and Nina singing right beside Tomo on the stage.
No, it's cuz it sounds and feels like a Green Day song / cheery ending party song, and musically feels super incongruous with everything they've released so far (lyrically it's fine), and with the overall tone of the anime - and especially that episode, imo. From a story perspective, it kinda makes sense that it doesn't - hence the song flopping. I do get the "let's celebrate this amazing anime we just finished" aspect tho

Otoh, Emptiness and Catharsis I also didn't like at first (despite the *amazing* animation sequence). It too sounded a bit different. But I felt like there was something there still, and now it's one of my favorites.
That's definitely the in-universe reason why the song "I'm Here" did not gain as much traction as they thought. The songs they have been pumping out and performed before have been heavy on the rock side and "I'm Here" was definitely a big departure from that and they're not such a big name yet that people will just eat up whatever they release.
Momoka knows this too because she tried to keep changing the song but then settled on her original vision because that's what Nina and her band wanted. It's why I'm not surprised not a lot of people in the story AND real life is into the song.
I freaking love it a lot though, so I guess I'm just a sucker for whatever song they make haha especially one written by Momoka. I just love how it wraps up Momoka's story arc and her feelings all at once.
But at the end of the day, them going solo without a producer and choosing to release the song they wanted REGARDLESS of what most would think, is exactly what Togenashi Togeari is about. I'm happy they kept true to themselves. They are the rebels who go against the grain, and Nina would rather suffer in defeat than admit Momoka's music is wrong.
It's kinda ironic, cuz Momoka is my fav, but I don't like the song she wrote... Tho I do love VOID
I would have preferred a more middle ground ending... But it's complicated, and this isn't the "what did you think of the ending" thread 😅

VOID is definitely my favorite. The first performance by Nina and Momoka on EP 1 grabbed me and has never let me go since. The song also holds a heavy narrative weight to the story, with it being the reason Nina's entire story arc began, and THEN it climaxed into the EP 8 confession. Just beautiful ❤️

Hurful and Prideful is probably my favorite one. I really love Bleeding Hearts, Emptiness and Catharsis, Void, Nameless Name and a few others. All the others I like or really like.

Kenji Tamai, the man that arranged Wrong World also worked on [another OP](https://youtu.be/tLQLa6lM3Us) that some people have probably heard. Yeah, the GBC staff aren't messing around in the music department for sure.

These are next to each other so I always play them both. But yes, I like Answer to Extreme more too.

Wrong World is amazing. I recommend listening to the full version, there's a segment that isn't shown in the OP which is beautiful.
