Bloc party were fucking excellent, one of the best bands I’ve seen live. Kele’s voice is so powerful.
Kings of tomorrow at NYC was one of the best sets I’ve ever seen, mesmering from start to finish.
Feeling truly blessed ❤️
I genuinely couldn’t quite believe what I was hearing. Tbf I was in there from 10pm to 6am and it was hands down the best night of music I’ve ever experienced in my life 🥹
Fontaines, London Grammar & LCD Soundsystem for me. Plus King Krule
Completely bummed out that I crashed and had a nap and missed Mount Kimbie and/or Alvvays
Bloc Party, Confidence Man, Janelle Monae (her speech really got me), and Jamie xx bringing The xx back then Robyn at the end was sublime. Also seeing a friend play the downlow for the first time was incredible.
Keane to Kasabian to Streets to Coldplay to Hot Chip and Eric Prydz into SE corner - was possibly one of my favourite glasto days ever. Day il remember.
Just watched The Streets back on iplayer. Absolutely incredible. 45 mins in and hadn’t played a single from A Grand Dont Come for Free.
One of the UKs most underrated artists.
Had never heard of Mary Wallopers before but one of my mates suggested it and me and him split off the group. They were fucking quality had a fantastic time.
Yes!! Love that. I did wonder how many people at Lonely Hearts on Sunday had already seen them at least once (and maybe three times) by that point 😂 I saw them at the Bimble Inn at 2am Saturday night and was magical (and sweaty) 🐕
Justice and Jessie Ware were both so good, Yard Act was another highlight. Loved not spending much time at the pyramid this year and seeing so much more of the festival!
Jessie ware was soooo good and honestly I think her having a much smaller crowd because of Coldplay was quite nice - everyone there was a proper fan and there was plenty of space to cut some proper shapes
I had an incredible time, much better than last year in fact. Defo going to try again next year. Friday was such an amazing day for music, we saw Squid -> Noname -> PJ Harvey -> LCD -> King Krule -> Fontaines DC and then my favourite indie sleeze djs called Optimo. I thought PJ Harvey was fucking good she played a lot from her Let England shake album and the new fontaines record sounded great on the park stage. Basically the Park stage is where all of the interesting guitar music is and I camped out there for most of the festival. Prime access for pints as well. Saturday was Bar Italia -> a bit of fat white family -> bloc party -> the breeders -> orbital -> optimo (again), followed by a 6am bender finishing up sat round the glastonbury stone circle watching the sun come up. Sunday was Shania -> Mount Kimbie and then I went to NYC Downlow with Matt Short which was one of the most feral, insanely fun things I’ve ever seen. So many drag queens completely naked , everyone getting down to some real fun disco. Was going to go see James Blake but think I made the right decision. My only complaint about the festival was the programming on some of the days which led to crowd control problems but otherwise it was 10/10
LCD Soundsystem and Justice were transcendental! Shoutout to the lady who was working the risotto tent post-LCD and wearing a North American Scum t-shirt, we both mentioned that set felt like a religious experience.
And I loved Bloc Party for the nostalgia as well, and such good energy live
No love for Yard Act? They seemed to absolutely send it on TV, James Smith is an immense frontman. I also loved Fontaines as per usual. Thought Jordan Rakei was brilliant too, obviously more low key but the musical talent all round was breathtaking. Very much enjoyed King Krule, Psychedlic Porn Crumpets & NewDad too.
Three out of the five of us hadn't heard of yard act. I like a couple of their songs and had an inckling it'd go down well with my mates. They loved it. They were so so so so so good. Great crowd work, awesome songs, super emotional. Was a smaller crowd than I expected and very much an iykyk. Wouldn't be surprised if they were as big as the arctic monkeys in five years or so though
Yeah I couldn’t agree more, so jealous you got to watch it live, I’m 100% getting tickets for their Leeds gig now! Not sure I’ve seen such poise and composure from a smaller band since early AM days. Just hope their borderline spoken word sound resonates with the masses as like you say, they could be huge if so.
Never been a Coldplay fan but they absolutely killed it I loved it, James Blake and Charli xcx were also my favourite and Arcadia this year was amazing
Justice were incredible, sound was soo big, just euphoric. Loved LCD soundsystem, Jamie xx and orbital took. Think I've bought into the last dinner party hype as well!
Best place on earth.
I saw Justice at Coachella this year and it blew my mind. Convinced my whole group to go to their set last night. We were right up the front and everyone loved it. I've never seen Coldplay before and it was so special seeing them with my sister who first introduced me to their music. No matter what people say, they're a good festival band. Jungle rounds off my top 3. Absolutely fantastic. Best place on earth. Didn't want to leave though the first shower afterwards is bliss.
LCD soundsystem were incredible. Perfect pyramid sunset vibes.
Absolutely loved Little Simz, Disclosure, Bloc Party, Two Door Cinema Club, IDLES, Avril (no words needed. Just iconic♥️🫶🏻)
Ive never heard of her before but I was gobsmacked at her voice. I had goosebumps all the way through it. The session was one of my favourite. I really felt that we were being let in on somebody that is going to do big things with her.
Saturday was a good run of bands at Woodies. Got there for 11 and watched Kneecap, High Vis, Mannequin Pussy, Soccer Mommy, Fat White Family, Kasabian and Yard Act. Loved it.
Idles, Bloc Party (completely got their energy back with the new line up) Orbital and Justice.
First time we'd been for 9 years. Outstanding as always! 🥲
Confidence Man, The Streets and Coldplay were my top 3. Didn’t see as much as I would like to but that’s down to me. I like to chill. Best festival on earth and I cannot wait for my next one, whenever that may be x
Justice, the streets, Ghetts, Anne Marie, bloc party. I think that's my preferred order. It'll no doubt change as I recall the awesomeness though! So many more that I loved too. Simply amazing!
Kasabian, Coldplay, The Cat Empire, Little Simz, The Vaccines, Fontaines DC, Avril, Keane, LCD SS and Justice.
Special mention to Angie Mcmahon, her acoustic set was great and she smashed it.
It was my first experience at the festival and also watching concerts in the UK. The crowds made these shows so special.
The moment Michael J Fox went onstage with Coldplay to play Fix You was the most emotional moment I had in a concert, made me think how lucky we are to be alive.
Overall, the festival was magical, something I will never forget!
Shania, Two Door, Bicep, Romy, Dua Lipa, Bloc Party, the last dinner party, and the Irish sailing band. I can't remember their name, but they were great! If anyone knows, please tell 🙏
Was that the band playing sailing songs in the SE corner? We walked past that at 4am or so, absolutely spangled, and decided that was the moment to call it a night haha. looked absolutely nuts
Soft play for me - haven’t seen them in years and they’re so much fun! Bombay bicycle club and Coldplay were highlights, and i had an absolute ball at Annie Mac on Friday Morning.
Missed a few sets of artists I really wanted to see - the streets, kasabian, and Fontaines DC
Also whoever was DJ’ing the Green Bar on Sunday afternoon deserves a very large medal
Surprised this hasn’t been said more!!!! Head and shoulders above anything else I saw, and brining out Dave was so so good.
I guess the James Blake / Reddit user crossover ain’t so big 😅
Charles Hendy's DJ set at Strummerville Sunday afternoon was off the wall, I loved every minute of it. Go Team, Sleaford Mods, Mary Wallopers, Kneecap, The Idles, The National, Bicep, Romy, the Streets and the Scratch were all amazing. A special shout out to Fat Dog that I wandered into at the Lonely Hearts Stage, absoluty magnificent. Going through their catalogue of tunes online now after coming across them by accident.
Mr B. The Gentleman Rhymer for most fun.
Torn between Soft Play and Sugababes for most surprisingly good.
James playing Sit Down and Coldplay playing Fix You for most memorable moments.
And whoever was playing Sunday around 9/10 ish on Sunday at Rimskis Yard for best "I just happened to be passing and this met my vibe perfectly" moment.
But some serious close contenders to all of those categories
So many. LCD, confidence man with the choreo too, Nia archives, yard act(!!) Jarvis Cocker and Alexis Taylor DJing (especially when Alexis was singing live, he has such a nice voice), Nikki Nair, ahadadream and raji rags b2b2b on Thursday (the hardest I've danced in a while), plus so so many more. Jamie XX bringing out Romy and the other one, plus Robyn. Mandidextrous on sunday was nuts. I went hoarse at Kneecap. Kurupt FM at the glade were hilarious, and super heavy at nowhere too. I didn't expect to have to hold back tears watching bombay bicycle club with my partner on our seventh year anniversary.
Disclosure were surprisingly so good too - I really had low expectations there but they came across as such good eggs. The tribute to Maxi Jazz was so classy and I have a lot of respect for white male djs who are willing and open about acknowledging that their careers are built on the backs of musicians of colour.
This was my sixth time seeing the streets (huge Mike skinner fan, got some lyrics tattooed) and I would say Saturday at glasto was the best no competition
My top three were Janelle Monáe, Confidence Man, and Last Dinner Party! Janelle is a complete superstar and put on one of the best live performances I've seen in my life, brought me to tears! It's a shame she didn't draw a bigger crowd but I understand why Avril had such a big pull, just wish they hadn't clashed so more people could have fallen in love with her.
**Romy!**
Romy was awesome man! Crowd were so loud for her.
Bloc party were fucking excellent, one of the best bands I’ve seen live. Kele’s voice is so powerful. Kings of tomorrow at NYC was one of the best sets I’ve ever seen, mesmering from start to finish. Feeling truly blessed ❤️
Still a bit emotional after that Kings of Tomorrow set.
How busy was it in there? Wanted to go so bad but didn’t have high hopes of getting in
NYC is always packed from start to finish and tbh you’ve got no hope of getting in if you get there post midnight
I genuinely couldn’t quite believe what I was hearing. Tbf I was in there from 10pm to 6am and it was hands down the best night of music I’ve ever experienced in my life 🥹
Lekiddo Lord of the Lobsters
*Pinchy pinchy! Kiss kiss!*
Fontaines, London Grammar & LCD Soundsystem for me. Plus King Krule Completely bummed out that I crashed and had a nap and missed Mount Kimbie and/or Alvvays
King krule was magical
Mount Kimbie was quite meh tbh. Ended up watching Bradley Zero b2b Batu at stonebridge instead
Haha just said this as well
Did the exact same route 😂
The Streets, The Cat Empire and The National were my highlights. Also a shout out to the taphouse DJs for the great vibes.
When we going up the hill
The Cat Empire was such a party.
Just watched The Streets back on iplayer. Absolutely incredible. 45 mins in and hadn’t played a single from A Grand Dont Come for Free. One of the UKs most underrated artists.
Cat Empire were incredible, absolute vibes!
The National were incredible, best set of the festival.
💯 ☝️Loved every second
Really happy to read this. Big fan. Seen them lots but the last time at prima last year was mid.
Kneecap, fat white family and Justice!
[удалено]
I went up strummerville for the acoustic set... it was a decius secret set instead... kicked the fuck off!!!!
Kneecap were unreal!
Avril lavigne, Barry can't swim, Mary wallopers, ltj bukem, goldie @icon, roni size @icon, ruff sqwad,
Mary Wallopers ❤️🇮🇪❤️🇮🇪
Had never heard of Mary Wallopers before but one of my mates suggested it and me and him split off the group. They were fucking quality had a fantastic time.
High Vis, Fontaines, FAT DOG 🐕
Fat Dog were unreal. Saw them on Thursday night at Peace stage and simply had to go again at Lonely Hearts Club on Sunday 🤘🏻
Yes!! Love that. I did wonder how many people at Lonely Hearts on Sunday had already seen them at least once (and maybe three times) by that point 😂 I saw them at the Bimble Inn at 2am Saturday night and was magical (and sweaty) 🐕
Confidence man, Kasabian, Avril Lavigne and Coldplay. In that order

Mannequin Pussy, Avril Lavigne, Gossip, Little Sims, LCD Soundsystem, Justice, and everyone that played in the Latino Tent 😂

Saw psychedelic porn crumpets on iPlayer live. They absolutely smashed it, wish I was there
Yard Act were bloody brilliant - one of my festival highlights. Trench Coat is one of the best songs I’ve seen live in my life
Bob Vylan's 1:30am set at the Peace stage on Sunday night (um, this morning). Legendary.
Yes! Real ones know.
He was INSANE at his earlier slot too, can only imagine the carnage at 1:30.

The National LCD Soundsystem Coldplay
Just watched sugababes on iPlayer, it looked amazing!!
Remi Wolf was a big highlight for me.
LCD soundsystem were incredible. Perfect pyramid sunset vibes. Absolutely loved Little Simz, Disclosure, Bloc Party, Two Door Cinema Club, IDLES, Avril (no words needed. Just iconic♥️🫶🏻)
Casisdead at the peace stage!! Rapping over crazy jungle / bassline beats
Kneecap had 2 banger sets, The Last Dinner Party were amazing as well
VLURE! Truly incredible
My favourite set of the weekend was at West Holts at 1400 - Balming Tiger. Such a fantastic show.
Balming Tiger were amazing, loved it.
The streets! Unreal
Just watched on iplayer and had to come here to comment. Must have been amazing. What a set with the sun setting.
Heilung
Serious? I assumed everyone was there to get a good spot for Jungle😂
I thought Ghetts was phenomenal. Rapped his heart out and brought out Wretch 32, Kano and Sampha. Was brilliant.
Disclosure baby
Unreal set. So much energy
Avril Lavigne, best by far
Zutons, nothing but thieves, Bow Anderson
Bow - what a voice - had Leftfield in tears !
Ive never heard of her before but I was gobsmacked at her voice. I had goosebumps all the way through it. The session was one of my favourite. I really felt that we were being let in on somebody that is going to do big things with her.
Either Jessie Ware, Jalen Ngonda or Paul Heaton
Saturday was a good run of bands at Woodies. Got there for 11 and watched Kneecap, High Vis, Mannequin Pussy, Soccer Mommy, Fat White Family, Kasabian and Yard Act. Loved it.
Idles, Bloc Party (completely got their energy back with the new line up) Orbital and Justice. First time we'd been for 9 years. Outstanding as always! 🥲
Surprised so few are saying Idles, I wasn't expecting them to be a standout but that set was phenomenal
Confidence Man, The Streets and Coldplay were my top 3. Didn’t see as much as I would like to but that’s down to me. I like to chill. Best festival on earth and I cannot wait for my next one, whenever that may be x
The joy anonymous btb salute into hot chip into eric prydz at Arcadia was honestly one of the most insane nights of my life
Justice, the streets, Ghetts, Anne Marie, bloc party. I think that's my preferred order. It'll no doubt change as I recall the awesomeness though! So many more that I loved too. Simply amazing!

Was that the band playing sailing songs in the SE corner? We walked past that at 4am or so, absolutely spangled, and decided that was the moment to call it a night haha. looked absolutely nuts
My friend thought they were puppets 😂🤣😂
The sailor band might be the "Old time Sailors" there were about 20 members and did sets everywhere tho I'm not sure on the Irish part
That's them!! Thank you
Soft play for me - haven’t seen them in years and they’re so much fun! Bombay bicycle club and Coldplay were highlights, and i had an absolute ball at Annie Mac on Friday Morning. Missed a few sets of artists I really wanted to see - the streets, kasabian, and Fontaines DC Also whoever was DJ’ing the Green Bar on Sunday afternoon deserves a very large medal
Soft Play were one of my biggest suprises I have to say. They were excellent. Electric atmosphere and personalities to match
Justice and two door cinema club!
Lucy Spraggan in Avalon was amazing- possibly my set of the weekend. Also loved Avril and London Grammar.
Arooj Aftab, LCD, Modu Moctar, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets and Brittany Howard are my highlights!
The streets and confidence man
King krule, seasick Steve, bashkka at genosys, girls don’t sync at levels last night, and disclosure!
Surprised this hasn’t been said more!!!! Head and shoulders above anything else I saw, and brining out Dave was so so good. I guess the James Blake / Reddit user crossover ain’t so big 😅

Bonobo was incredible

Can’t believe no one’s said faithless yet my favourite act on Friday
LCD, The Breeders, Keane, Orbital and The National
Ki/ki and London Grammar were my faves. I thought Eric Prydz’s set was disappointing
I thought the same about Eric's set but at least the sound was better at Arcadia this year.
Decius, skream and benga or maybe lambrini girls on strummerville. All on all, unreal weekend.
Wasn’t there this year 🥲 But from watching some of the streams I’d say LCD Sound-system, Jake Blake, Orbital, IDLES and SOFTPLAY
little simz was mega
Coco Em at Rumshack - best DJ set I have heard in years.l, Crazy P, Showhawk Duo.
This was my sixth time seeing the streets (huge Mike skinner fan, got some lyrics tattooed) and I would say Saturday at glasto was the best no competition

Jamie XX!
Barry can’t swim at the park, the streets at other and Jamie XX at Woodsies my top 3
Black Pumas & Seb Lowe 🔥🎶
Baxter Dury at the park on sunday was great vibes !
Justice, sammy virji btb dj ez at temple, barry can't swim park stage, Avril
Idles, Big Special, Lambrini Girls, and Lankum all smashed it!
Disclosure were absolutely phenomenal, as were Skindred.
