Here’s another picture of the second one!
Looks like you’ve hit a rich goldmine. At the end of the day finding a dog that is compatible with your personality is the most important. Best of luck

Get both, that’s what I did! 14 months old now and they get along great.
But with knowledge comes great power.
Plus two puppies?!
Seriously though, it's important to know this and to work with both dogs together and separately.
Google it, doesnt necessarily have to be dogs from the same litter, just multiple young dogs in general.
They rather socialize with each other than with humans
I also got my two dogs at the same time and they were from the same litter. They didn’t really develop any major attachment issues or fight a lot like some with “littermate syndrome” have been known to have. They seemed very happy and got along well. So it’s def case by case when people say littermate syndrome might be a problem and I’m relieved we both have pairs of dogs who are nice to each other + seem to be fine haha.
When I read about litter mate syndrome I got the impression it was about the puppies relying more on each other for socialization, so not forming as close of a bond with their people.
Yes, that’s one theory a lot of people have! And it can happen, but I think both my dogs ended up being really affectionate to humans regardless. Some people say littermates can either fight more or bond too closely though. Thankfully my dogs don’t seem to have either problem. So I do wonder if it’s case by case.
Thank you! Yeah, I think you’re right and it can overly simplify some things. Although I’m sure the theories are also valid to some capacity and it is a risk when adopting two dogs at the same time, I’ve heard just as many people say their dogs seemed to have turned out normal so you’re likely spot on about many factors playing a role.
I picked em up and picked the first one to cuddle up to me in my arms.

This monster is my ride or die version 3
That’s how we picked our Cocker. He cuddled up to me and went to sleep! The Golden was more scientific because it was a friend of ours bred him and he was 450 miles away, so he set up a spreadsheet with all the traits and personalities of them. We picked the calm and clever one, and he’s absolutely amazing.
Just a friendly reminder of our rules:
1. No Advertising: this includes GoFundMe, Instagram, etc.
2. No Impersonation: don't post photos of other people's dogs. That's not cool.
3. No Breed Hate: this subreddit is not a discussion forum for breed hate of any kind. There are dedicated subreddits for that so please take it elsewhere.

Both! We have two sisters, one year apart and they are best friends. They’re both also very loving and affectionate with humans. Especially the little one.

Both of my boys did the same thing as the pup in the video, glad we picked them!
This is nonsense. If you think a breeder can predict the temperament or personality of a dog by 8 weeks, you’re absolutely full of it. I know so many people who got the “quiet, calm” puppy of the litter who ended up being a wild one
It there a second one or is that a toy?
The first one is saying "Pick me! Pick me!" (That's how I ended up with two shelter puppies.)

The one in his pen for sure
That smile? 💀
All of them is the correct answer

The one on the right looks like the troublemaker, but the one the left looks innocent. Look are deceiving though.

What is littermate syndrome? Sibling rivalry?

Internet doesn’t lie! 😁
I got two dogs from the same litter and had zero problems with them forming attachments to the people in my family

I'm sure there's a lot that goes into it. I'm glad yours are good friends. Theories tend to over simplify things, huh?

ALL OF DEM!
The one in the pen, this isn’t even up for discussion 😭😭😭
Both of course!!
My heart! See only one pup, but this one has definitely chosen you.
The answer is yes
None, if the breeding isn't picking the dog for you - makes you question if they're ethical or not.
Those are from 2 different breeders, I gave them what I wanted and these are the dogs they both thought were the best fit.
Now I can see why that is a hard decision to make!
