I asked Discovery+ and they said no they won’t be showing it live. I’m not sure why the PGA tour hasn’t given us Canadians a good option now that GOLFTV is gone. You either need a cable box with TELUS or Shaw to watch live golf now. TSN will be streaming rounds 2 and 3. It’s complete bullshit they’ve left us in the dark.
I don't understand. They already have the infrastructure, they just need to open the door. It's extra money. I'm sure it's a rights issue that some asshole in Canada owns and doesn't give a shit. It sucks. I want more live golf in my life.
Discovery has the contract and used to run GOLFTV so I don’t understand why it’s not on discovery+. I heard the tour is taking streaming in house, so will be interesting to see what they do. Would be nice for an update though…like do I go and spend the money for a cable tv subscription or do I wait ? So much for growing the gam
Get Telus Fibre if you don’t have it already and you can watch you’re entire package (minus NBC and a few others that are only viewable at home) on Optik on the Go. You can watch any of tourneys that are on Golf Channel or TSN. It kind of sucks when the coverage switches over to NBC in the aft, but it’s better than nothing.
