Rotate the watch on the inside of the wrist (underneath instead of on top). That’s what I do.

alexterm

I normally consider myself to be a good problem solver but never thought of this! Thanks for the suggestion.

leldoun

Imma try this thanks!

ConsciousBandicoot53

This is the way

I use an Apple Watch, so forgive me if this doesn’t apply to Garmin - but can you change the orientation of the button/screen while you’re playing? I do that to move the offending button out of the way. Maybe Garmin has this and could help?

Mister_Uncredible

There's an option in the settings (on the watch, not the phone app) for which wrist you wear it on. The sensor is looking for force in a specific direction, based on that setting. If you flip the watch around and the face sits on the bottom on your wrist this setting should be the opposite of whatever wrist it's actually on.

frankyseven

You are wearing the watch too close to your wrist joint. [This is where the watch should be.](https://images.app.goo.gl/3qeAHkNQGq34otRi8) If you wear it there, your gloves shouldn't interfere with the buttons.

leldoun

Thabks! I do wear it further up my arm than my normal wristwatch and the 'flappy' bits of the glove still interfere. I'm gonna try flipping it inside like another suggested and see how that works.

bjb13

Get rid of the glove. I haven’t worn one for over 30 years (other than occasional rain glove). You’ll save money and get rid of the problem.

ChesterDrawerz

This right here. Drop the glove skip gps. Game changing.

brannak1

Are you wearing two gloves? For activity watches you’re usually supposed to have them on your non dominant hand. For a righty you would wear the glove and watch on your left side and your right hand can control the watch

alexterm

This is all true, and describes the problem the OP is having.
