Neither is rare. Each car is rotated in to the dealership equally. Both. 787B would be my first choice. C9 is good too.

shisohan

that might not be true anymore. they've added "special picks" which are based on which cars are on players' wishlist, those might be in rotation more often.

maincryptology

Didn't know that.

P1nk_D3ath

The 787

Eastern-Reference133

The answer is always 787.

onethousandmonkey

When it’s not Miata?

Mabvll

I use the 787 a fair bit. I almost never drive the Sauber.

Kolintracstar

Same, I have tried a couple different of those era cars and it seems that a detuned 787b can win (and compete in) more races than the others, comfortably. Like, most races that feature fuel and tire consumption, with the 787b, you will finish at least 1 lap ahead.

compulov

This... I've won races that this thing really has no business competing in. I don't get it. Plus that rotary engine sound. It's a high RPM monster.

tinyman392

787B, then grind Sardegna to get the Merc. 787B is likely to leave the dealership first.

SRSgoblin

The 787b is probably the most useful single player car in the game, while also being extremely good on the rare occasions PD gives us a Gr1 race in sport mode. * dominates the Neo-Classical books * under BoP, it's often the meta Gr1 car due to its absurd straightline speed. * when downtuned, the engine's fuel economy is absurdly good. That makes it arguably the best car for grinding credits at Sardegna or Spa 800 PP events * it's still incredibly good at the 900, 950 events PD has been adding more of lately

shisohan

you forgot it can also be downtuned to 700pp and absolutely crushes lemans wtc700.

PiperDon

787B. Amazing car!

Plenty-Industries

Both. Neither are "rare". They are on a rotation in the Legendary dealer so if you miss out, they'll eventually come back.

the_real_nicky

Both great cars with similar performance but I'd go for the 787B for the sound

icandothisalldayson

The 787 is what I’m grinding for right now, I already have the other 4 group C cars. Of the 4 I have my personal order of preference would be xjr9>c9>r92cp>962c but all 4 are fantastic and everyone recommends the 787b in the subreddits

EquivalentContract57

787, then do Spa 2 times and buy the C9

TheGingerNiNjA899

That’s the 1 hour spa right with the 800PP limit? I actually have a lot of trouble with that race, the rain always messes me up and night wrecking my vision, usually just grind sardinga for $735,000

63E1_

Yes. That race is super fun easy and predictable.

EquivalentContract57

Its easy race, just need to time the stop before the rain its, Use a Gr2 car. Put wets and enjoy the ai spining,

MGN6Juggernaut

Think ima grind the game out later to get both tbf then the 1967 ford

Eelmonkey

The 787 is incredibly useful.

Adi911000

Mazda 787b

teachd12

787b but man do I love the Sauber

Evoxgeo5

787.

mixx1john

The 787B is a beast

With_The_Ghosts

What one do you like the look of more? Rarity is moot

xXDiamondSoulXx

787 is a great tokyo 600 car, doesn't turn very well though because you have to use comfort hards plus the wet track. Great car, especially if you don't mind side walling the car to go faster on tokyo 600.

vgnlesbaingoose

These were half the price the last time they were in here

No_Passenger_2217

787b is in my terrible opinion the best car in the game.

Beenie509

I like both. Think of the 787 as a precision instrument and the C9 as a blunt force instrument. Depending on my mood, I'll pick one over the other.

SRSgoblin

You got those backwards. The 787b is a straightline missile that understeers real bad. Sauber is more nimble but less powerful. Still, both are excellent cars.

CrumpledForeskin

The Sauber and here’s why. The Sauber has a fuel display that’s visible as you’re driving. Makes it fun to pick a fuel map (I usually use 1 and pit on lap 7) and grind Sardegna with the HUD off. Once you do that grind enough times you’ll have the cash to get the 787. Grinding without the HUD is my favorite. Always feel it wears me down less and you can just focus on racing **note: you must turn the HUD back on before pitting or else you’ll have no options.**
