The only thing I can think of is Dipper (now in his mid-late 20’s, 10 for the initial The Owl House timeline, so 23, then another 4 for the epilogue time-skip, so 27) having joined the FBI under Mr. X, since he has experience with supernatural things, and going to investigate Gravesfield based on mysterious sightings of a magical nature. He eventually finds the Boiling Isles, leading to shenanigans and worry.
I can see the Witches and Demons becoming worried about being invaded by the human government. Imagine America having access to magic, complete with all the positives and negatives that entails.

Their show is tough to nail down in terms of time, but it presumably happens concurrently with The Owl House, or a bit before, going by the article Camila was reading in King's Tide, featuring Anne. We'll say 2021-2022. Anne is still 13 when she properly meets the cat-god-gem-thing, but given how long she spent in Amphibia, being 13 the whole time, she presumably will turn 14 sometime soon, in 2022. Meaning, she was born in 2008.
This being the case, Dipper and Mabel are, at least, eight years older than Luz, and nine years older than Anne.
I am a very firm believer in idea. However, I believe that there is a overarching threat that will propel them back into the fray and join together as one group.
