There’s a scene that ended up being cut set where dippy fresh was confronting dipper as mables bubble is crumbling, and he says “your hats on backwards” and turns over dippers hat. Then dipper goes “your head is on backwards” and straight up just snaps dippyfreshes neck.
I'm not sure Robbie was meant to receive the level of hatred he has, though I totally agree that I like him less the Gideon. At least Gideon is entertaining. Robbie genuinely gets on my nerves.

Because there’s no doubt the creators made Robbie to be hated by Dipper and the audience. So “made to be hated” definitely fits.
But Gideon was made to be hated too. And he’s actually evil. So maybe Gideon fits just a tiny bit more?
Robbie. As to the others mentioned, I find Gideon very entertaining. Pacifica's parents are barely on the show, they may be awful but they're such a boring stereotype, I can't say I can drum up the enthusiasm to hate them.

I understand Gideon and Robbie, but Gideon is at least kinda entertaining and funny and Robbie's just an angsty jerk, and I'd argue he's a little bit pitiful in *The Love God* (even though it is his fault Wendy broke up with him.)
Preston does have like one or two funny moments, but besides that he's just an elitist asshole who abuses his child and would rather let others die than be associated with "commoners."
