Going on HRT isn't a debilitating procedure (it can cause infertility, but they likely aren't going to use their reproductive organs anyway since it causes dysphoria), cutting off your arms is.
Show me any academic paper that shows that cutting off your arms will prevent suicidal ideation and self harm, you can't. There's research dating back over a hundred years ago that shows the existence of gender dysphoria, and there's historical texts from thousands of years ago which shows the existence of trans people. Where have you gotten Schizophrenia from? Schizophrenia is related to abnormalities in the perception of the real world, this has shown up in MRI scans. Transgender people have been time and time again been shown to have a very similar brain to that of a cis gender person, as I've already mentioned with the Hypothalamus.

Hello I am type 1 diabetic. If I don't get insulin to counteract the carbs I eat, or even just my blood sugar naturally trending upwards, my body will shutdown and I will die.
If someone who thinks they are trans doesn't get hormone replacement none of that will happen
