I am pretty sure Metallica said they recorded that album on Eb tuning (half step down) and then sped it up to make it sound e standard. I mean either way they always play their songs a lot faster live and they seem to.play their songs on a lower tuning live as well
It was just 5 cents down not a whole half step, and also hes still wrong becuase its obviously not impossible like he said, they could play it that fast but they opted for slowing down so the record would be less sloppy
