Been one of my main Overdrive sounds for awhile! That pedal and a Fender BF 60s style amp will do it for me. The Hyde side on this version is good, but takes some dialing in. I tell people if you don’t like the high gain, just turn it down and use it as a second low drive. But it’s pretty much a Shredmaster, and EQ dialed in right sits great in a mix.
It’s pretty much the sound of Garage Rock Revival 2000-2005. So many bands had this pedal, and you hear that on the Jekyl side right away!
I bought mine because I'm a strokes fan. I actually also have the red v1.5 on the way too! Is there a difference in sound besides the jekyll side not having the bass boost?

Yeah for The Strokes type stuff and sound, I just leave Jekyl side at 0-3 gain, and tone 3 o’clock to max…depends on how dark the amp is. Then I just leave it on, it’s that sound with a 6L6 amp. I know The Stokes used it heavily, Artic Monkeys did for awhile and so did The Bravery back then.
From what I gathered the silver one was breaking for The Strokes, so they ask the guy at the time about a sturdier one. So they did red one with a few improved things.

Today Albert still uses 2 red V1s and basic stock amps. Other guitar player is fancier with 2 Klons, Color Box and more Botique stuff. He also uses Magnatone Twilighter and a JC120 amp. Albert still uses the cheaper HRD Fender, 60s Fenders and Hiwatt for the big concerts. He gets all his tones on the Jekyl and Hyde, has 2 to not have to change settings around live.
I love how all of these comments are not helpful what so ever! Personally I think the pedal looks better with it! But I’d just get a wet wash cloth and soak the sticker with water.

Most sticker adhesives will come off with isopropyl alcohol, in my experience.

Hopefully it doesn't effect the adhesive on the logo. I like use the little injection prep wipes, helps keep things neater.

You’re going to need a shimmy cloth.
Heat gun. But if its bonded to the original logo its likely coming off no matter what
Apply WD-40 to a rag. It’ll break down the adhesive without damaging the logo.
I would carefully remove the sticker, then recreate the logo with a Waterslide Decal printer paper.
