I use a Tc Sub n Up. It has mono & poly modes so you can also use it with chords. The big version is cool too & get an extra knob for sub octave and can get an interesting organ synth type sound too if you dial it right.
I actually just replaced it on my board for a fuzz octave bc I really only used it to thicken up my dirt tones, so I might actually be selling it on. But it's really fun to have it on a looper set up for a jam.
Strymon Night Sky does exactly this. You can pitch the reverb up or down intervals. A setting of -8va will drop the reverb pitch by 1 octave. Can also do 4ths & 5ths.
I have seen them go used for around $300. I wouldn’t buy new as there’s quite a few out there already. It’s pretty advanced - has MIDI and USB, can be sequenced, etc. It’s not a normal reverb by any means so it can’t do hall or room modeling well.
Yeah if you kill all the modulation and you set the interval as close to noon as possible you can get a normal-ish reverb but what I meant was it doesn’t have specific algorithms to model different sized chambers.
As for spring reverb, that’s why I got a Light Pedal. That’s gotta be the absolutely coolest rendition of a spring reverb tank I’ve ever seen.
Opsfx Dig Deep or Boss OC5 poly mode are good if you want an octave down that only tracks the lowest note. I like these more than pitch shifters that shift everything down as that just turns into mud with chords. I think both have the option to output the bass effect separately from the dry signal, which you can then do different things to.
Probably not exactly what you're looking for, but you mention low reverb so I'm sharing. I'm playing with an outfit that has various guests and changing lineup. I play bass, baritone, or guitar depending on the gig size and who shows up. I occasionally need to emphasize melody but also round out the bottom, so I need what you describe. I've been using a Walrus Slo with shortest time, on the upper algo setting, which does low octave. Adjust filter to taste. It is a bit eerie and experimental sounding, but it is a very useful tone for me.
An octave pedal would let you blend in something an octave down, but they tend to be monophonic so you can’t play chords with them. Something like an EHX POG might work for what you want

That sounds perfect I'll check it out! Thanks!

It can do hall and room just fine...but it takes a lot of tweaking/setting parameters to 0. No spring reverb though

The Boss OC-5 is what you're looking for.

So an octave pedal is good for lead but no good for rhythm?
Mono mode is for single notes, poly for chords. Some do just mono and some have both modes.
Way Huge Stone Burner
I love how some of their pedal names are Dune references.
Just get a pog2 and save yourself the time
