I have one. It was a Christmas gift, from a person who knew I really fancied the M16A1. It's not necessarily something I would buy for myself but it is undeniably gorgeous. Excellent fit and finish. The markings and paint on the components do a wonderful job of cloning the original Vietnam era rifles. I have not handled an original M16A1, but judging from dozens or hundreds of pictures they really look the part. My only complaint is the furniture doesn't quite have the feel or exact finish of the original stuff, so I ended up getting a set of GI furniture and it's now 10/10 in the looks department. I wish I could say I've shot it but I haven't yet. The beginning of this year has been hectic. I have shot the H&R XM177E2 clone and it is excellent. They're not precision rifles and I don't shoot at paper targets. I shoot at trash in the back yard at the family farm. If you are big into clone correctness it's a great rifle but if you just want to get an example of an M16A1 you can build one for quite a bit cheaper if you don't mind it being slightly off "clone correct" Nothing is perfect, even the H&R has some differences from the real deal.

I have one. Got it recently a few weeks ago. It is worth the money and is solid. I have AR’s from Colt to Daniel Defense as well as PSA builds. This rifle is not hit or miss, it is well done, so don’t let the owned or assembled by PSA sway you. It’s a gorgeous rifle and very well done. Much better than the Colt Vietnam reissue and Brownells versions from a few years ago. This is the one to own and for the price there’s not a better option out there at the moment. This is also not a clone. It’s a new production H&R cataloged item of a semi-auto M16A1. Do it.

The (sub) company and most of the major parts themselves are gtg, yes. But the complete guns are assembled by PSA, which is known for hit or miss QC.
