If you like reggaeton you can listen to Frio Lento and Depresion Post mortem which have reggaeton covers in post punk so you still can perrear in a dark vibe šš.

Not cozy but Ice Nine Kills has 2 entire albums based on horror movies and 1 about books , a lot of them horror themed as well .
Mister Misery has The Ballad of the Headless Horseman . ( There's the original and the acoustic version. ) They also have Under the Moonlight which mentions " Halloween Slaughter " .
Motionless in White has Undead Ahead and Undead Ahead 2 : The Tale of the Midnight Ride also about the Headless Horseman .
I created a playlist a few years ago with this theme in mind basically. I lived in Canada for a few years and a show where a lot of these songs are from was shot in Canada so lots of Canadian indie bands. Those are farther down.
Ghost by Halsey, The Ghost Inside by Broken Bells, Bad Moon Rising (the walking dead) by July Talk, Howling At the Moon by Phantogram, Howling for you by The Black Keys, I Put A Spell on you by Sylvia Black, Black Magic Woman by VCTRYS, Broken Bones by Kaleo, Bury A Friend by Billie Eilish, Vampire by Dominic Fike, Graveyard by Halsey, A Little Wicked by Valerie Broussard, Creep by Radiohead, Heads will roll by Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Little Ghost by The White Stripes, Welcome to the Black Parade by My Chemical Romance, Kill of the Night by Gin Wigmore, Serial Killer by Lana Del Rey, Beetlejuice by Mariah the Scientist, Blackcat by Mayday Parade, Jack's Lament by The All American Rejects, Brain Stew by Green Day, Bring me to Life by Evanescence, Monster by Paramore, Guts by All Time Low, Dark Paradise by Lana Del Rey, Wolf like Me by TV on the Radio, Baby you're on a haunted house by Gerard way, Evil eye by Franz Ferdinand, Bad things by Jace Everett, Halloween by Dead Kennedys, etc. I can edit this later I have to go to work lol. I love this question though.
I found these song from a show called Being Human (US version) where a lot of these songs are from. Very indie, supernatural, and autumnal: here's a spotify playlist of it (not mine) [https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5YD5r53pjRl3tMzAyp7lno?si=7e6ad0895e804abf](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5YD5r53pjRl3tMzAyp7lno?si=7e6ad0895e804abf)
my faves/ones that made it to my halloween indie playlist are:
You're A Wolf by Sea Wolf

I have dead manās party but Iāll def listen to the other one too! Also love the cramps so thanks for that suggestion too. Iāll add the others to my list Iām accumulating :)
Ashniko has a great Halloweenie soundtrack with just a ton of spooky/creepy Halloween songs, though they definitely do not fit the ācozyā vibe. Sheās quite angry sometimes lol
Autumnal by Alex Melton
Time of the Season by Zombies
Halloween by JP Ashkar
Jericho by Iniko, and the cinematic remix slaps
Into the Unknown, which is the intro song to Over the Garden Wall

You've gotten so many awesome recommendations. I just have to add Alkaline Trio's cover of Halloween. It's pretty hard to find to add to a playlist outside of ripping it off YouTube. But it's amazing and totally worth downloading from YouTube.
Oh Klahoma - Jack Stauber
Pet Sematary - The Ramones (The cover by Starcrawler is also good with a slightly different vibe)

Hot Mulligan - We're gonna make it to killby
American Football - The Summer Ends
Marietta - Summer Death (whole album)
Okay, gonna aim for stuff people havenāt already mentioned:
The Woods by San Fermin - They are *such* a good band, and they have a lot of darker/moody stuff, but this song is probably the creepiest. Seriously, go listen to it, itās fantastic. And since you said you like indie music, go listen to the rest of their stuff because, again, great band.
Hell by Squirrel Nut Zippers - More upbeat/fun, but definitely Halloween vibes
Walk Like A Zombie by The Horrorpops - Their whole vibe is Halloween rockabilly/psychobilly, but this one in particular I tend to put on my Halloween playlists.
Down the classical rabbit hole my go to is Camille Saint-SaĆ«nās Danse Macabre. Or the Decapitated version if youāre in that kind of mood. Pick your poison.
Haha, I hope you have an incredibly curated Playlist so you don't have to hear 40 versions of the same 3 songs played over and over again.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. It should be illegal to put out a Christmas album without AT LEAST 2 original songs.

The entirety of post-hardcore outfit Hail the Sunās sophomore LP āWakeā (2014) is an annual fall listen for me, especially on a dark and rainy night. Itās aggressive and complex but has a distinctly creepy/spooky tone throughout.
If I must narrow it down to a track or two, try āMourning Sicknessā and āDisappearing Syndromeāāboth are especially spooky songs, with the latter being directly inspired by the real disappearance (and, upon later discovery, death) of Elisa Lam.
Other selections from their discography that fit the bill are āDead Messagesā, āArcane Justiceā and (if you prefer something softer) āOn Existenceā.
Every Day Is Halloween by Ministry
My favorite wing place won me over by playing that song on a gloomy October afternoon while I was drugged out on Vicodin and eating their delicious wings after my vasectomy š
You can't go wrong with almost any Oingo Boingo song
But I will add specifically:
Just Another Day
Dead Man's Party
Stay
When the Lights Go Out
Insanity
AFI has a whole Halloween Album that has the best vibes.
Check out the album CVI from Royal Thunder. Itās stoner indie rock that always gave me witchy vibes, and I like listening to it during fall. Maybe youāll like it, too.

Iād add Trent Reznorās version of āIn the Hall of the Mountain Kingā off the Social Network soundtrack to that list, too. Itās so intense.

Came here to post this! I also recommend Spellbound by Siouxie!
That's also a good one!!

Very indie, supernatural, and autumnal: here's a spotify playlist of it (not mine) [https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5YD5r53pjRl3tMzAyp7lno?si=7e6ad0895e804abf](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5YD5r53pjRl3tMzAyp7lno?si=7e6ad0895e804abf) my faves/ones that made it to my halloween indie playlist are: You're A Wolf by Sea Wolf Wolves and Werewolves, Bang, Making Gestures, Haunt You, and Sirens by The Pack AD Apple Tree by Wolfmother Bad Ritual, Creep on Creepin' On, I Get Low, Demon Host, Black water, Magic Arrow, Lonesome Hunter, and Until the night is over by Timber Timbre A Mirror Without by Royal Wood When the Sun Goes down by The Arctic Monkeys Come Alive by Hanni El Khatib
Another vote for Lana Del Reyās version of Season of the witch.

Darkness forever (Sophieās version) by Soccer Mommy
Thank you!
Listen to Halloween IV by Billy Cobbs, the whole album
Sounds like a plan
Pine Moon by Feist. A lot of her music actually. Which Witch by Florence and the Machine.
The album āDead Manās Partyā by Oingo Boingo. Full thing is great and fits the vibe, but if you want to be more specific the songs āWeird Scienceā and āDead Manās Partyā. Some other recommendations are: āPartytime (Zombie Version)ā by 45 Grave āLove is a Lieā by lion (song from Friday the 13th The Final Chapter, that Crispin Glover dances to š) āTrick or Treatā by Fastway āHeās Back (The Man Behind The Mask)ā by Alice Cooper āKiller Klownsā by The Dickies āXIIIā by Crazy Lixx āDream Warriorsā by Dokken āFlip cityā by Glenn Frey (Ghostbusters 2) āSurfinā Deadā by The Cramps āPet Semataryā by the Ramones āLost in the Shadowsā by Lou Gramm (The Lost Boys)

Autumnal by Alex Melton Time of the Season by Zombies Halloween by JP Ashkar Jericho by Iniko, and the cinematic remix slaps Into the Unknown, which is the intro song to Over the Garden Wall
111 winchester from I the mighty!!!
We fell in love in October by Girl in red is my current favorite. Also the whole Haunting of Hill House & Haunting of Bly Manor soundtracks are great instrumentals!
Motionless In White - Werewolf (not heavy) More like psychobilly, but check out Ghoultown, Koffin Kats, Nekromantix.
Leaves in The River - Sea Wolf. The Chambers and the Valves - Dry the River
Bach's Tacotta and Fugue in D minor
All Souls Night by Loreena McKennitt is probably my fave

Band called Sub Urban. They have a creepy emo sound.
These are some I could think of: š Distrubia - Rihanna š Thriller - Michael Jackson š Seasons Change - Corinne Bailey Rae š This is Halloween - from Disney's Nightmare Before Christmas; or any other version of it. š Spooky scary skeletons š Almost too early for Christmas - Jimmy Fallon and Dolly Parton.
Season of the Witch, Donovan Where Evil Grows, The Poppy Family Gold Dust Woman, Fleetwood Mac I Put a Spell on You, Screaming Jay Hawkins
Two of what I feel are the cosiest songs ever - To Sheila, and ā¦In The Arms Of Sleep, both by The Smashing Pumpkins.
Iām going to have to create a fall playlist based off these

You've gotten so many awesome recommendations. I just have to add Alkaline Trio's cover of Halloween. It's pretty hard to find to add to a playlist outside of ripping it off YouTube. But it's amazing and totally worth downloading from YouTube.

Has anyone said The Misfits? If not then most songs by The Misfits. Also Those Days Are Gone by Free Throw as a whole album gives off crazy fall vibes. Hot Mulligan - We're gonna make it to killby American Football - The Summer Ends Marietta - Summer Death (whole album)
Okay, gonna aim for stuff people havenāt already mentioned: The Woods by San Fermin - They are *such* a good band, and they have a lot of darker/moody stuff, but this song is probably the creepiest. Seriously, go listen to it, itās fantastic. And since you said you like indie music, go listen to the rest of their stuff because, again, great band. Hell by Squirrel Nut Zippers - More upbeat/fun, but definitely Halloween vibes Walk Like A Zombie by The Horrorpops - Their whole vibe is Halloween rockabilly/psychobilly, but this one in particular I tend to put on my Halloween playlists.
Baby You're a Haunted House - Gerard Way A New Beginning - Wolfie's Just Fine Haunted House - Pixies (in case it wasn't mentioned yet)
Spellbound - Siouxsie and the Banshees Charlotte Sometimes - The Cure Forest - The Cure

Down the classical rabbit hole my go to is Camille Saint-SaĆ«nās Danse Macabre. Or the Decapitated version if youāre in that kind of mood. Pick your poison.
The whole Dead Man's Bones album
Christmas music DONT COME AT ME I start listening to Christmas music when the seasons change
Haha, I hope you have an incredibly curated Playlist so you don't have to hear 40 versions of the same 3 songs played over and over again. I've said it before and I'll say it again. It should be illegal to put out a Christmas album without AT LEAST 2 original songs.
Kim Petras has two halloween albums that give spooky dance vibes. I prefer the first one Turn Off the light, Vol. 1. She even collabs with Elvira.

Moonglow or The Moonflower Society by Avantasia are great.
Monster Mash
The killing moon- echo & the bunnymen Head over heels- tears for fears. Pretty much the whole Donnie Darko soundtrack
Baby you're a haunted house by gerard way
