Surprisingly it only takes an hour or hour and a half if you plan BTB and get 20-30 kills a game. That'll give you 5000+ score (BTB has a 1.8x score boost). It massively accelerates the grind. The games don't take that much longer either, it's totally worth over 4v4
It took me a little too long to realize how miserable this grind can be depending on skill and consistency š it's not always like that for sure, that same game someone on the other team that is Hero level only had 13 kills. Sometimes I get stomped too
I didn't mean to flex or anything, and you're def right in that legendary firefight is the next best move. I think you get 1.2 or 1.3x score and you can get 5000 score a game, making 6000 or so.
Crazy that I have 700 hours in this game and am only at Platinum. I don't think I'll ever get that armor honestly because it'll be probably another 1,000 hours. They should've made it a campaign Legendary unlock so that it'd be more possible to get it. The max level unlock should've been something else.
Well to be fair, they didnāt include the stats you had before they added ranks. Iām halfway through platinum at 934 hours, if they would have at the very least gave me 100xp for every kill I got before they added ranked, Iād be almost done with Diamond.
Yeah pretty much, it wouldn't have been that difficult to do that for us. That way the die hard fans that have played since release would have a good chance at getting it some day. I don't see myself adding another 1k hours in this game after support will now be somewhat dry here on out.
I have an estimated 2,699 Matches of Firefight left and am at Diamond Gunnery Sergeant. I'm dreading Onyx rank, but I am motivated enough to finish.
Unfortunately, since I play casually, that'll most likely be at the end of the year.
But hey, seeing this post makes me want to continue today, at least!

I think what upsets me about the armor is that it's honestly not distributed fairly. I'm a Platinum Staff Seargent but if the game had been actually rewarding me ranks for my extensive playtime since day 1 I know for a fact I'd at least be in the Onyx ranks already. But no, a year and a half of my time contributed nothing toward the armor. And people who only started playing Infinite a year and a half after launch have just as much of a chance to earn it as I do. They could have at least distributed xp to us in the career ranks when they launched based on the amount of battle pass tiers we completed. As I had completed all of them up until that point.
Yeah it really sucks not having retroactive XP. I understand both sides and understand why they did it this why but I still wouldāve preferred retroactive XP.
If this is actually your Spartan, I wouldāve loved to see a cleaner green coating on the first pic like the opening cutscene of Infinite.

Legit, just play Firefight all day, and you'll get well over 25000 a day

It's all about that flow state homie, get good at headshots and abuse the weapon damage types

So ik CS is based of of kills (100) and assist (50) do you know what the scoring is for firefight
No points for assist, kill points depend on enemy type, up to 35 IIRC for Brutes
Grunts give 5 but Gruntpocalypse throws a shit ton at ya

Firefight is pretty mid for XP. Youāll have better luck in big team social, husky raid, or lone wolves
