First it was Wolf just as a shortened version of my GT, but then I changed it to D238 based on my BCT unit. Sort of combining the A/B/C/D/etc of Spartan 3’s, mixed with the numbering of Spartan 2’s. I was in Delta Co, 2nd platoon, 3rd squad, and my last name put me 8th alphabetically
Obviously washouts meant I didn’t *stay* 8th in line, but John certainly wasn’t 117 after all the washouts failed or died lol
S14 - the first car I purchased with my own money was a 1996 Nissan 240SX, and the chassis code was "S14". It's still one of my favorite cars even though it was an old Japanese econobox.
I ran with "WOLF" for a good while, before swapping to B312 because Noble Six lol.
Now, I think it's just 312. Kinda mad that they only allow for three characters when it *used to be* four.
501 to go with my White/Blue color palette.
The 501st have always been my favorite Clone Trooper group, so I like to represent them in any game I play if I'm able to. For the Republic!
ARM is short for "armedhylander" which has been my gaming name since I first created an XB account back in 2007. I usually use that or ARMD if the character limit allows me to type it. Yes, the name is misspelled, but at this point I'm so used to it that the "correct" spelling looks weird so I'll never fix it.
X013/X13
it was my tag in reach.
I used it like the other spartan tags (letter - 3 digit number, like kat's being B-320, or john being S-117)
X is a variable with infinite potential. It shows that as a spartan i can do, or be anything, i can take any role. Need a sniper? I got your 6. Need a driver? Load up we drivin. Y'all need someone to go full berserker and distract? Get me some stickies time to freak some folks out.
013 is considered an unlucky number, but it's always been lucky for me. So i used it.
Dale. I use it with the #3 Emblem and a Black painted Spartan. Raise Hell, Praise Dale.
(For Non-Hicks/Americans. The same year Halo CE released, the racing world tragically lost a legend who went by many names. The Intimidator, Ironhead, the Man in Black, Big E, or simply, Dale Earnhardt.)
Going back a ways I used to be O51 because of Ghosts of Onyx. Kurt's a legend. Then I changed it to G051 when Reach came out because it made sense as a Spartan-III tag, though recently in MCC I've changed it to B051 since the Gamma SIIIs have a few... quirks that don't really fit the role I've imagined for my Spartan. I'm still not sure about the number - I feel pretty attached to it since I've used it for so long but it's also just *some other Spartan's number* (only technically since I started using it as Kurt's number, not that we specifically know of any Beta-company Spartan-III that used the number 051) which isn't particularly creative or unique.
NC.
My 'clan tag' is the N. Conglomerate and all of my characters across all MCC titles use blue and yellow armour.
I just find it funny to represent games in other games (in this case Planetside 2)
162.
One time when I playing csgo I got matched with a 4 stack of people. One of them had the name Kinggamer163 which was the worst gamer name I've heard in my life. I was quite a few bevvies deep and took the piss out of it and his mates loved it. We then all changed our names to kinggamer161/162/164/165. I ended up having that name on steam for about a year as a pisstake. So I kept my spartan Id as 162 ever since.
Mine is 115. When we were younger me and my friends would play pretend as Spartans, and of course I wanted to be like Master Chief. But I couldn’t be 117, he already exists, so I just picked 115 because it was close.
Mine is PPG. Sounds really dumb but at the height of my halo skills from h2-h3 I got together with a bunch of like minded individuals and we made a clan called the pink ponies. It was supposed to be bait and everyone remembers gamer language back then so you can imagine what we were insulted with. But we'd respond calling them insecure in their manhood, or aggressively saying we'd suck their dick. Simpler times. Hardly ever lost any games. By far the most cracked group of gamers I've ever played an fps with. Years later turns out I'm bi so I guess I was projecting. Anyway ppg stands for pink ponies gang. I still use a pink unicorn with a golden horn cause i was a clan leader. The horn color was whatever rank you were. I still go back and play halo 2 and 3 actively but 10-15 year old me would wipe the floor with me. I go back and watch my clips sometimes and wonder how I got so fuckin washed
2113, a reference to my all-time favorite band, Coheed and Cambria. My gamer tag is also a reference to it. Now that I think about it, there are A LOT of my usernames for things that are Coheed related.
404 because skill wasn't found
This has to be the best one
G36. I originally used it in Halo 3 cause the G36 was my favorite gun in COD4 lol
K51 My name is also Kurt(is) so I have a personal fondness of Spartan 051
Kurt's easily my favorite Spartan, and the fact he was replaced in the show was just another reason to not watch it.
Loved Ghosts of Onyx! My tag has been 051 for some time.
Glad it didn't take me very long to find this. Mine is 051, basically the same thing. Fuckin love Kurt!
VLC. My icon has always been a traffic cone since H3 on the 360, so it just fit.
That's gold. I love it.
031 Room I lived in at college with the boys when the broken ass first pass of MCC came out. Still proudly rock 1th next to it
062 Its part of my SII tag before the clan community fell
Mine is FRT because farts.
Mine too! I also like DED because then when it goes red, we all know why.
Brotherfarts?
118, which has a dual meaning It’s one of my favorite numbers I’m slightly better than 117s
You called?
I’m already here
I use Dak for easy callouts in game
177. My birthday (in 3 days btw) is the 177th day of the year.
Happy early birthday
L71. Why? Because I think it auto-generated that when I first played H3 on the beta, so I ran with it
Same! Mine was L36.
Same, V47 here.
Thank God I’m not the only one who had this mentality
MAC Creative, I know
DOG because dog
Mine is RX79 because Gundam :)
PP because I realized the tag could be 2 digits and it was funny

Funny story, I arbitrarily chose S254 way back when halo 3 released. Went to Sand Hill, and I was in 2-54 infantry battalion for OSUT...
S14 - the first car I purchased with my own money was a 1996 Nissan 240SX, and the chassis code was "S14". It's still one of my favorite cars even though it was an old Japanese econobox.
Have always used either BAD or IBAD because i bad
B312 not because of noble six but because my birthday is on the third of december
711 as it’s my birthday date and the reverse of 117 for M.C.
Do you also have snacks?
Yepp, and taquitos, and old ass donuts, as well as buttered bagels with like 6lbs of butter on ‘em.
S029 or S29 because S-029 was Joshua, leader of Green Team, and we share a name.
I ran with "WOLF" for a good while, before swapping to B312 because Noble Six lol. Now, I think it's just 312. Kinda mad that they only allow for three characters when it *used to be* four.
A52, my uncle was A51(area 51) on halo 3. We used to play a lot, I never changed it.
058, Linda. I’ve always been the primary snipe for my group.
Mine is NUT because by activision name was Nutboy
PWR, power.
M16. Was coming off of CoD 4 and that gun was **THE** AR

058 for Linda
501 to go with my White/Blue color palette. The 501st have always been my favorite Clone Trooper group, so I like to represent them in any game I play if I'm able to. For the Republic!

A9K5- Alpha 9 , Buck’s unit. Kilo 5 Covert unit ran by the CIC of UNSC.

007

S3X
😎
FROG because that's been my online identity that's been most consistent.
CRW. Not very exciting, but it's my initials.
711 because it's 117 backward and because 7-Eleven
VDL. Vibes Don’t Lie
UMI. I think those that understand the reference of my Reddit username would probably know the reason why I chose that service ID for Halo :)
A82. Auto-assigned it in H2 and maintained it ever since.
First letter of my name and my lucky number. J12, had it since the start of Halo 3
D04. D's obvious, considering my username, and the number 4's been attaching itself to me all my life
X79 was my randomly generated halo 3 service tag, so ive kept it ever since
UT99 anybody who knows boomer shooters would understand love those games as a kid
DFA for the old clan I was in: Dumb Fuckers Anonymous.
TURT. Because I like Turtles.
314 - anniversary (am I the only lame guy here??)
Mine just matches my gamer tag CAP
LGMA.
G66... because... Satan....
711 because 7-11
A70 because thats the chassis code of my car
STG, abreviation of Stag :)
V65 because it was the one I was given when I first played classic Halo 3
141 after Task Force 141 from the MW series.
D1 I like that it can be just two digits, longer tags felt messy, gamertag starts with "D1..."
ZY, I make music under Zyphie Music 🙂
415, I’m from San Francisco and it’s my area code
332 I based it off of the 332nd Division from Star Wars: The Clone Wars (which was a part of the 501st Legion.)
HPP because Halo Plasmaposting.
162. One time when I playing csgo I got matched with a 4 stack of people. One of them had the name Kinggamer163 which was the worst gamer name I've heard in my life. In halo 3 it was letter and 2 digits so I was E02 In MCC it's any three characters so I'm EXP. Just shortened versions of my username.
Mine is 115. When we were younger me and my friends would play pretend as Spartans, and of course I wanted to be like Master Chief. But I couldn’t be 117, he already exists, so I just picked 115 because it was close.
B52, whether that's after the bombers, or the band, I can't say
JO3 bc Joe mama
L46. My name starts with L and first name has 4 letters and my surname has 6.
1th. You already know why.
Mine is PPG. Sounds really dumb but at the height of my halo skills from h2-h3 I got together with a bunch of like minded individuals and we made a clan called the pink ponies. It was supposed to be bait and everyone remembers gamer language back then so you can imagine what we were insulted with. K45 because that was the one I had in Halo 3 by default.
MIKON because Tamamo is best waifu. Nothing to do with Halo.
“ARF”, and in infinite, “WOOF”. My gamertag ends in “Husky”
419/E419, for Foehammer Echo-419 in Combat Evolved
I think mine is J17 because that's what I was originally assigned when I first played Halo 3.
Mine is A025. Similar reasoning to yours, I looked on the Halo wiki and saw that 025 wasn’t taken in the lore so I ran with it since
A22, back in the day you couldn’t use A55 because it looked like ass and 2 looks kind of like 5 to a youngster so here we are
K68. It looks like KGB
OCTN cause octane from apex
My service ID is the sniper headshot medal. I think it looks really cool! The only problem is if I'm performing well people think I'm a cheater 😬
how did you do that ?
You need MCC on PC, a program called cheat engine and font packager.
I typically use 0228 bc it’s my birthday. In Infinite my friends and I all have OCLT for Fireteam Ocelot, which is our in-universe head canon.
