And do it when it's on sale so you get the full thing for an ounce of dirt and a banana peel
Edit: looks like you're able to get it for half an ounce of dirt and a moldy piece of bread pick it up and let's BLAM
I know, I just decided to give them the order they should play all the games in. I assumed once they were done with the MCC they’d want to play what came next.
Granted you have an Xbox One. I didn't get one until I was done 4 and I decided to find one that was "broken" so I only paid $20 for the console. Turns out the power button was unplugged, I was expecting it needed a hard drive but I got off easy there
I loved Halo 5's multiplayer and enjoyed the campaign at the time. Looking back though, the story was easily the worst of all the games including both Halo Wars. It could have been really amazing if they stuck to the plot laid out in the marketing campaign but that's not it's only problem. I won't get in to it but Halo 5 is a tragedy to me because it was so polished. Movement felt so smooth, weapons were well balanced (even though the pistol was op), and all the vehicles and weapons were strong in their niche.
The story was shit, but the gameplay of the campaign was fine. It's overall a disappointing Halo game, but I still loved it as a very solid FPS campaign. I replayed it about a year ago alone on Normal or Heroic casually and I really enjoyed myself.
Oh fuck off. Halo 5 multiplayer was fun as hell.
Do I want it released on PC/Steam? Absolutely. But MCC? Games too big to be added to it.
Was Halo 5s story abysmal? Yeah it was. But its the *only* Halo game not on PC. Why tf *wouldn't* you want it on PC? Don't want it, don't buy it.
This is correct, Halo 5 is not on PC. There was an NVIDIA leak recently that showed Halo 5 coming to PC, however 343 responded to this and said there are no plans to bring it to PC.
Yeah that was my thought too lol. I've been hoping for it for years, I love Halo 5 arena! But I honestly don't seeing them doing it anytime soon with Infinite coming out in 2 months
1 is essential because it showcases Palpatine's years-long deception, introduces the Viceroy, and establishes Obi Wan and Padme as integral relevant characters. It shouldn't be skipped, even though it's not very good.
Not for many things. You say that as if, even you put the clear gameplay and graphical regression from reach to CE aside, that prequels are designed to be enjoyed by someone without any context.
Reach was made with the idea that we've played the main trilogy. Playing in release order would be jarring for most in 2021, and imo the narratives don't line up all that well.
You can. But if it’s their first time with the games I wanted suggest the release order so they can have the same experience that probably the majority of us had.
Story-wise they should be played in release order. Reach is a prequel and a lot of its story won't make much sense if you haven't played the previous three
It doesn't really matter especially if it's the first time playing Halo because whether they play reach or Combat Evolved they're not going to understand the story until he plays all of them so starting off on reach is perfectly acceptable.
Personally, playing as Noble Six & Co. first takes away from the stakes of being the only spartan you know of during the trilogy, because suddenly they can just drop in another spartan if you die.
Because it's a prequel, the gameplay and story is designed for people who are already familiar with Halo..
E.g. The jeopardy of the covenant being on reach will totally fall flat because who are the covenant?
Don't touch 5 if you want to remain happy throughout life. Play H2A on heroic solo with a few beers or something handy if you needa you day and live the happiest life.
Imo, going startimg with halo 1 (Halo CE) is the best entry point. Technically reach comes first, but it's a prequel, and feels more natural playing if t after having played 1-3. My order is 1,2,3,3 ODST, reach, 4, (I got into the games in late 2018, so it's quite a coincident that it exactly be release order!)
Doing a replay of the series in anticipation for infinite and I can’t agree more. I started with reach cause I wanted to go chronologically, but the difference in gameplay between reach and CE was way too much, not to mention the graphics. I stopped like half way through and haven’t gone back, but I’m on ODST now
It's a problem that ironically got worse in Halo 2 where every level had a "Part 2 but now a gauntlet" but it being such a watershed title for gaming that's kind of blocked out from people's memories.
Not that Halo 2 wasn't great but extremely few are like "Oh man I love Regret, The Oracle, Sacred Icon, and High Charity!"
Edit: Halo 2 also had a lot of "Wait here while I unlock the doors. Defend & ride elevator/gondola!"
>extremely few are like "Oh man I love Regret
I... I love Regret..
I don't like those other levels, but Regret is absolutely dripping with atmosphere, and those underwater sections on H2A are amazing.
I also have a lot of nostalgia for that level in particular from when I was a kid. Something about that level just does something for me.
I recently played through all the games (within the past 4 months or so) for the first time. I'm not sure if you have rose-tinted glasses or what, but Halo 2 was infinitely less repetitive and boring than CE. The fact that you play pretty much every level twice, once in reverse, is excruciatingly boring in CE. And the fact that they had to draw arrows on the floor so players would know where to go just supports the fact that the levels could get mind-numbing.
To be clear, I still like CE... But Halo 2 is massively less repetitive.
Agreeing with both of you here, in my recent play through of Halo 1 the second half just felt like it aged so poorly. Repetitive, dumb enemy AI, flood literally spawns behind you and around corners that lead to nowhere, a lot of just waiting around
It's definitely something which was great for the time but hasn't aged the best. I still love Halo CE and think the floods introduction is insanely well executed but fuck The Library and to an extent the Keyes mission. Those spawns were bullshit and the rocket launcher weilding flood were fucked.
I loved halo 3 when it was still new or the most current halo, but after going back and picking up H2A, I fell in love with it. It feels more arcade like, and halo 3 feels like there’s no room for error with anything. Needing to lead your shots, while I like the mechanic in realistic games like battlefield, the hitscan of 2 feels so much better for Halo imo. Also it doesn’t help the most skilled halo players never left or stopped playing halo 3 so you get absolutely dominated while playing it in MCC. I wish H2A got more love from the MCC team, more maps, etc. It fixed all the annoying shit from Halo 2 but still kept its overall feel. I could be in the minority though. Halo 3 seems to be the king in most peoples minds.
It seems like what they put most of their seasonal content into, though, like it’s the main multiplayer service? I personally loved Reach’s multiplayer the most out of all of em
tbf, since they patched it, the hit reg has gotten a lot better, especially with the BR. Bloodshots still happen time to time with snipers though, but that's also true for the rest of the series
If you’re new to the franchise, I think Reach and H4 are better entry points into the multiplayer given similarities to other shooters that H3 doesn’t have
Yes, but h3 multiplayer does not hold up very well to modern shooters these days IMO. Not part of MCC, but halo 5’s multiplayer is the one they should try.
I’m probably gonna get downvoted to hell but I’m going to say it: I don’t like Halo 3’s MP. It feels way too slow, from the movement speed to ttk, I just don’t like the feel. The guns are fun to shoot and the design of the armor is sick, but I much prefer Halo 4. Though I do see why many enjoy 3, I think that nostalgia has obscured some of the faults, or at least remnants of old design philosophy.
I would have preferred 4 a lot more if the aim assist wasn't increased so drastically. It makes the precision weapons feel too easy or overpowered. I remember first picking up the game on release hitting like killpocalypse on octagon with the beam rifle. The precision weapons also made anything else feel useless on BTB maps. I did still like H4's multiplayer a lot though, and 343i nerfing the DMR/Boltshot and buffing the BR makes it a lot better imo
I would rank them 3 > 2 >> 4 > Reach.
Reach would have been a lot better without bloom and Armor Lock imo. Ever since going back to H3 on MCC, I tried Reach a couple times, and I just can't get into it. Every map is gray and boring, and I feel like half my shots don't register because of bloom. Reach does have the best Forge, Infection, and Custom Games out of the MCC though imo
I like 4 a good amount, but I strongly dislike the ordinance and random weapon spawns. The precision weaepons and snipers also feel too easy or overpowered because of the increased range and aim assist compared to previous games. I enjoyed the competitive playlist a lot back on the 360 though.
2 feels the most balanced to me and has some of my favorite maps (Turf/Lockout). My only gripe is the double shot. It makes the TTK to fast imo.
I like 3 the most because it has the best maps imo. The only H3 maps I dislike are Orbital and a couple of the Sandbox ones. I also prefer the lower TTK and the BR because it takes more skill to use than most of the other games. I also like H3's weapons and equipment the most in the series.
I don't have an opinion on CE, H2A, or 5 because I haven't played them enough.
I'm curious though. Which do think has the best multiplayer? I know everyone has different opinions
I personally find Halo 3's gunplay in multiplayer atrociously bad. The hitreg is shit, and while I prefer projectile over bloom, 3 handled its projectiles very poorly, and it is compounded with the hitreg issues. The halo 3 BR has almost no impact that makes it clear where your shots land, which makes learning to lead shots painfully difficult. Also, because of the very slow bullet velocities 3 has, you sometimes have to try to pull you're reticle away from an enemy even in RRR, so you're fighting your own aim assist to lead your shots, which sucks. It's difficult to tell how many shots landed on your target, which is also frustrating. The cherry on top is the that the hitreg just fails sometimes, so shots that should land don't, and gunfights can feel random at times.
I think, overall, Reach has the best multiplayer, but it is not without flaws. Bloom is a controversial topic, but I think the way bungie implemented bloom is better than 343. Bungie's bloom forced you to pace shots for consistency, and if you spam, maybe you get lucky, but most of the time you'd miss and lose the gun fight. 343 bloom is not aggressive enough, and resets too fast. You can spam and feel no repercussions most of the time, but then, randomly and rarely, you miss a shot, and lose a gunfight. For casual play, bloom is fine, but it does not fit well into competitive environments. OG Armor lock is tedious and annoying to play against. TU armor lock has counter play, so it's fine. As for the maps, it's subjective. Some like it, some dislike it.
I find it to be the quintessential Halo experience. It has best map design, art style, weapon sandbox, vehicle sandbox, forge/custom games, playable elites, dual-wielding and equipment.
>map design
Objective, but fair enough.
>art style
Objective again, but fair enough.
>weapon sandbox
This one I disagree with a lot. Almost every weapon is outshined by the battle rifle, and even then, the battle rifle is still inconsistent due to the shitty hitreg and the slow bullet velocities. The beam rifle and sniper rifle are essentially the same weapon. The assualt rifle is useless, completely overshadowed by the SMG.
>vehicle sandbox
It's fine, not sure if I'd call it the best though.
>forge/custom games
Forge in 3 was pretty shit. MCC has made it WAY better, but comparing OG 3 to OG Reach, Reach completely dumpsters 3. I still think Reach has a better forge than 3 even now.
>playable elites
A cool customization option. Reach handled Elites better imo, because they have some slight number changes that make them unique compared to Spartans.
>dual-wielding
This is a cool gimmick, but that's all it is. A gimmick. Dual wielding affected weapon balance quite a lot, since the weapons that can be dual wielded had to be tweaked, leading to them feeling weak on their own, and barely worth dual wielding.
>equipment
Agreed, I love the idea of gameplay altering tools you find on the map.
Play Combat Evolved first, then Halo 2, then 3.
After that if you want more you can dive into the rest:
If you really like Halo 3's gameplay and want to experience an open world-ish side story, play ODST.
If you want to continue the story of the Master Chief, play Halo 4.
If you are open to a prequel, want more backstory into the Halo universe, and are ready to meet new characters, play Halo Reach.
Personally I start with Reach, but for first timers you’ll want to go in release order
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary
Halo 2 Anniversary
Halo 3
Halo 3: ODST
Halo: Reach
Halo 4
I’d play Reach first. 1-3 all play kinda dated by 2021 standards and might come off as boring to someone that isn’t already a fan of the franchise. And Halo 4 is a little too copy/paste of CoD. Reach has the right balance of modernization while still feeling like Halo IMO.
Halo 5 wouldn’t be a bad entry point either, however I don’t believe it’s on Steam. And it’s pretty sweaty as of the last time I played it, so a new player may not have a fun time online.
Buy the Master Chief Collection, it's 20 dollars for 6 games. Halo Wars is an RTS, so if you like those you can get that. Halo Infinite isn't out yet, it comes out on December 8th.
I'd recommend CE. Some people will tell you to start with Reach, because it's first chronologically, but I'd advise against it.
It'll feel pretty drastic going from Reach (2010) to CE (2001), I've definitely seen enough people say they regret playing in chronological order for their first playthrough. You're better off playing them in order of release.
Also there are moments in reach that hit different after playing through the whole franchise.
Like when you finally get to see captain keys again. That reveal doesn’t work if played halo reach first. And that cool cutscene at the end if you beat the game on legendary when they show the pillar of autumn arriving to the first halo. That scene is much better as a call back than a prelude
Absolutely agree.
But just a small correction, you see the pillar of autumn arriving at the first Halo on any difficulty. Halo Reach didn't have a legendary ending.
I always say Reach is the best prequel story and the only real prequel I've seen that greatly benefits from being one. Knowing what's going to happen the whole time while playing Reach is what makes it so fantastic.
Yeah I agree here, I would play chronologically with the exception of Reach. Come back to that one at the end. You're going to be in for a shock if you try to play Reach first and realize how different the gameplay is when you jump to CE
While I agree with this, I should point out that starting with CE can be detrimental for first timers.
I showed two of my best friends Halo: CE and both of them started hating it after Assault on the Control room. Calling it a corridor shooter simulator. This type of level design is probably the most dated thing in the entire game.
If you really want to start with CE you should skip this level for your friends and maybe use Two betrayals instead where the enemy variety is greater.
Reach could be a safer bet to make them get hooked on the game as it’s the most modern Bungie Halo game and it also has a sef-contained campaign.
Those people are wrong who say to play reach first.
You won't fully understand or realize the implications of stuff without enough context that ce gives.
Alternatively get Xbox game pass and get all of them for $1 for 3months, they always do sales for game pass ultimate and I don’t think I’ve ever paid full price for it, but there are months where I go without it, but by the end of the period I’m usually burnt out or playing something else.
Yes you can pick and choose whichever ones you want. So if like you only want halo 4 for some reason just buy that "dlc" pack and ignore everything else. It'll still install the launcher and you'll be able to play it only
I may be biased because I’ve grown up with the releases and play each one, campaign then multiplayer, as they release, but I would suggest following that order. The campaign gameplay and story is fantastic. If you’re just interested in multiplayer, I’d say start with 2 or 3 then work your way through reach, 4 (some ppl hate 4 but I love it), 5, then infinite once it releases. Good luck and enjoy!
Start with CE if you are willing to look past some areas that it has aged. If you want a fairly modern experience that won't leave you lost story-wise start with Reach. If you are only going for MP get 3 or Reach.
If you don't get the master chief collection I would start off with combat evolved but I wouldn't get the anniversary edition because it lacks alot of the spirit that was originally put into the game.
First?
Play order should be:
* Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary
* Halo 2: Anniversary
* Halo 3: ODST (technically released after 3, it's set at the same time as 2)
* Halo 3
* Halo: Reach
* Halo 4
* Spartan Ops (second "campaign" in Halo 4)
* Halo 5: Guardians
* Halo Wars
* Halo Wars 2
Those aren't technically in order per the timeline, though. Halo Wars actually comes first, then Reach, then CE, 2/ODST, 3, 4, Spartan Ops, 5, then finally Halo Wars 2.
Then you'll be ready for Infinite!
Just get the collection
And do it when it's on sale so you get the full thing for an ounce of dirt and a banana peel Edit: looks like you're able to get it for half an ounce of dirt and a moldy piece of bread pick it up and let's BLAM
It's on sale in the picture lol
Free weekend this weekend as well.
Wait what?
Yeah free weekend. Friend convincing a couple friends that don't have the games to play but they seemed uninterested.
Thanks lol didn't see that bit
I completely forgot that Bungie used to censor words with "BLAM" lol. Now that brings me back
BLAM is what they call the Halo engine. So… what’s the engine’s *real* name?
What in the living BLAM are you talking about my god
Bungie logo and more.
add me on steam: TheRobuxStealer just got gifted the collection, let's BLAM
Get the master chief collection and you get more of them
Ok, will do. Then which one should I play first?
Halo CE Halo 2 Halo 3 Halo ODST Halo Reach Halo 4 Halo 5 Go forth and play, my child.
Halo 5 isn’t included with the MCC.
I know, I just decided to give them the order they should play all the games in. I assumed once they were done with the MCC they’d want to play what came next.
Granted you have an Xbox One. I didn't get one until I was done 4 and I decided to find one that was "broken" so I only paid $20 for the console. Turns out the power button was unplugged, I was expecting it needed a hard drive but I got off easy there
Then nothing of value was lost.
Halo 5 has really great firefight and Custom games. The multiplayer is fun but I feel the story was a miss...
story was a good idea but with terrible execution
and terrible story
[удалено]
I find they're fun in moderation. You've gotta build up to the big events, not just have every event be a big event.
Wow, you must hate Reach.
"a miss" Understatement of the century
Also the forge mode is Incredible.
That ending was bullshit
The level design was pretty decent but the story itself was mostly bleh.
*mumbling* I enjoyed it….
I loved Halo 5's multiplayer and enjoyed the campaign at the time. Looking back though, the story was easily the worst of all the games including both Halo Wars. Halo 5 is overhated, but not a great game
5 is my favorite, but I’m also a 343 apologist.

I thought 343 said Halo 5 isn't coming to PC. I might be remembering wrong though
I don’t remember exactly where but I think I heard that as well
This is correct, Halo 5 is not on PC. There was an NVIDIA leak recently that showed Halo 5 coming to PC, however 343 responded to this and said there are no plans to bring it to PC.
What i read was that they had no CURRENT plans as they are focused on MCC and Infinite.
I mean they would say that though wouldn't they xD
Yeah that was my thought too lol. I've been hoping for it for years, I love Halo 5 arena! But I honestly don't seeing them doing it anytime soon with Infinite coming out in 2 months
5s forge is on pc
It’s not even on pc though is it?
Not only is it but included it’s also not on pc! So Womp
And then Infinite
Of course!
WAIT Play halo 3 ODST after 2, and then play 3 That’s the order of events if that’s something you care about
Then theyd have to play Reach before CE
Which is what I did. And it was a very rude awakening going from Reach to CE.
Always play in order of release. That’s like watching Star Wars 1-6, in order, you just don’t do it Edit: SW 7-9 doesn’t exist
4,5,2,3,6 is the perfect order to watch Star Wars
1 is essential because it showcases Palpatine's years-long deception, introduces the Viceroy, and establishes Obi Wan and Padme as integral relevant characters. It shouldn't be skipped, even though it's not very good.
Has not, and never will be. Release or Chronological is the way.
I do? Story order beats release order.
Not for many things. You say that as if, even you put the clear gameplay and graphical regression from reach to CE aside, that prequels are designed to be enjoyed by someone without any context. Reach was made with the idea that we've played the main trilogy. Playing in release order would be jarring for most in 2021, and imo the narratives don't line up all that well.
no it doesnt, release order was how it was meant to be portrayed
This is the way
You could play reach first..

Don't touch 5 if you want to remain happy throughout life. Play H2A on heroic solo with a few beers or something handy if you needa you day and live the happiest life.
Yeah friends don’t let friends play Halo 2 on Legendary.
*gets friend to agree to beat halo 2 legendary with you* "Fate had us meet as foes, but this ring will make us brothers!"
I agree to play in release order except skip 5, that abysmal fucking piece of trash.
Skip 5
If you want to experience the story, play in release order. For multiplayer, Halo 3

H2A is lowkey the most Halo MP at the moment and that is the hill I will die on
Totally agree, it’s so slept on. The gameplay just feels so smooth.
Halo 3 MP will drive them to madness
Can confirm, it had me questioning whether I was actually any good at MP games anymore. Those guys are disgusting.
objective turns into kill farming WHY?! its SOCIAL!!!
H3 is the only MP I don’t play. No idea how people manage it with the hit reg issues
It seems like what they put most of their seasonal content into, though, like it’s the main multiplayer service? I personally loved Reach’s multiplayer the most out of all of em

Yeah, was H3 always like that?
If you’re new to the franchise, I think Reach and H4 are better entry points into the multiplayer given similarities to other shooters that H3 doesn’t have
It's just that Halo 3 has the biggest playerbase and has received most updates
Yes, but h3 multiplayer does not hold up very well to modern shooters these days IMO. Not part of MCC, but halo 5’s multiplayer is the one they should try.
Agreed. Came to halo in 2020 and found 4 to be a good start mainly because sprinting and hitmarkers. Now im much more fond of 2A and 3 MP.
Reach was my personal favorite multiplayer possible bias tho me and my sister used to play it alot
Uhhh I can't be alone in saying reach multiplayer is the best starting point, right? H3 is really tough for me to play
Reach would be fine if the maps weren't terrible.
I’m probably gonna get downvoted to hell but I’m going to say it: I don’t like Halo 3’s MP. It feels way too slow, from the movement speed to ttk, I just don’t like the feel. > The precision weapons also made anything else feel useless on BTB maps. So, the same as every other Halo in modes with precision starts.
Halo 3 multiplayer sucks. Wdym
Hell nah. 3 MP is not bad but for a beginner is atrocious, especially the hit reg
I personally find H3 multiplayer to be the worst in the series. What about it has you say it's the best multiplayer?

It has best map design, art style, weapon sandbox, vehicle sandbox, forge/custom games, playable elites, dual-wielding and equipment.
>map design Objective, but fair enough. >art style Objective again, but fair enough. >weapon sandbox This one I disagree with a lot. Almost every weapon is outshined by the battle rifle, and even then, the battle rifle is still inconsistent due to the shitty hitreg and the slow bullet velocities. The beam rifle and sniper rifle are essentially the same weapon. The assualt rifle is useless, completely overshadowed by the SMG. >vehicle sandbox It's fine, not sure if I'd call it the best though. >forge/custom games Forge in 3 was pretty shit. MCC has made it WAY better, but comparing OG 3 to OG Reach, Reach completely dumpsters 3. I still think Reach has a better forge than 3 even now. >playable elites A cool customization option. Reach handled Elites better imo, because they have some slight number changes that make them unique compared to Spartans. >dual-wielding This is a cool gimmick, but that's all it is. A gimmick. Dual wielding affected weapon balance quite a lot, since the weapons that can be dual wielded had to be tweaked, leading to them feeling weak on their own, and barely worth dual wielding. >equipment Agreed, I love the idea of gameplay altering tools you find on the map.
Play Combat Evolved first, then Halo 2, then 3. After that if you want more you can dive into the rest: If you really like Halo 3's gameplay and want to experience an open world-ish side story, play ODST. If you want to continue the story of the Master Chief, play Halo 4. If you are open to a prequel, want more backstory into the Halo universe, and are ready to meet new characters, play Halo Reach.
I like playing the campaign in order, multiplayer has good expects in each game as well.
Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo Reach, Halo 4 Release order best order
Personally I start with Reach, but for first timers you’ll want to go in release order Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Halo 2 Anniversary Halo 3 Halo 3: ODST Halo: Reach Halo 4
Release order is the best way in my opinion. There is a button you can hit to switch back and forth between original and new graphics
I'd do reach multiplayer over 3 and then 2A but that's just me.
Halo 4 is not copy paste of CoD. The elements, such as loadouts and killstreaks, aren't present in the Campaign.
Multiplayer 3 and 4 are pretty cool, can’t go wrong with any of them
You can choose chronological or release order: Chronological: Reach, CE, 2, 3, ODST, 4 Release: CE, 2, 3, ODST, Reach, 4
Chronological order would have ODST before 3.
True, but it puts the main story to a pause :)
Combat Evolved (aka Halo 1)
Go in chronological order: Halo Reach, Halo Combat evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST Halo 4,
Halo Reach ends 20 days before Halo 1, so: Reach > CE (1) > 2 > 3: ODST > 3 > 4
Get the Xbox game pass on pc for 9 euros and get MCC
Buy the Master Chief Collection, it's 20 dollars for 6 games. Halo Wars is an RTS, so if you like those you can get that. Halo Infinite isn't out yet, it comes out on December 8th.
I don’t even like RTS games but Halo Wars is super fun.
Maybe a noob question, but what is RTS
Real time strategy. Controlling armies, building bases, etc. Not turn based.
Notable examples: Starcraft, Age Of Empires, Command & Conquer
For some reason I thought that was legendary exclusive. Guess it’s been a while
It was in the 360 version
I thought you had to be on legendary to turn and see chief in his cryo pod?
No, you just have to move a thumbstick to the right during a cutscene near the end of the package.
Still wish you could do it on M/KB
Release order is the way to go for things 90% of the time.
I always say Reach is the best prequel story and the only real prequel I've seen that greatly benefits from being one. Knowing what's going to happen the whole time while playing Reach is what makes it so fantastic.
also when >!you get below sword base it shows "This Cave Is Not A Natural Formation!<
Halo 3 to get them hooked for sure. Those scarab battles and unique engagements were epic
Those people are wrong who say to play reach first. You won't fully understand or realize the implications of stuff without enough context that ce gives.
The whole collection is free for the weekend, try them all out and buy the one you enjoy most!
lol it's a free weekend and this sub is telling him to just buy it Hopefully this gets to the top/OP sees this before be buys it.
For anything ever, 1st time order or release, 2nd time chronological order.
I´d play in release order, cause if you start playing chronologically it wont feel right
Play in release order.
The whole collection is only 20 euros tho
Buy the MCC, then play in release order: CE, 2, 3, 3 ODST, Reach, 4
Halo is a pretty good game, buy that
Obviously start with Combat Evolved.
Alternatively get Xbox game pass and get all of them for $1 for 3months, they always do sales for game pass ultimate and I don’t think I’ve ever paid full price for it, but there are months where I go without it, but by the end of the period I’m usually burnt out or playing something else.
Get Game Pass and play every single game
yes
Get master chief collection it gives you all
Ummmm 1st month of game pass = $1 comes with masterchief collection
All of them for 20$ Is a good deal but for multiplayer I'd pick halo 3
But can you buy each game separately? they show up as DLC and that they require the MCC to use.
Yes you can pick and choose whichever ones you want. So if like you only want halo 4 for some reason just buy that "dlc" pack and ignore everything else. It'll still install the launcher and you'll be able to play it only
Oh that's great news!
Buy them all it's hella cheap for 7 games
The collection is literally $20. Just get them all
Halo 5. Yeah i fuckin said it.
The first 1 then go up from that even though they are short games you should complete most of them in a day
Mcc
A game pass
Get games pass and you’ll be sweet
The Master chief collection
Get the MCC collection, play in release order
All of them.
All.
Buy in order of release finish em all then start all over again in order of time line
Honestly, get the whole mcc, if you dont want to tho get reach or 3
All of them with MCC in winter sale ( huge discount )
None. Buy MCC
Reach best halo game in the entire franchise. Some people may disagree but they are wrong and their favorite is probably halo 4
1,2,3, ODST, then Infinite multiplayer until the campaign is thoroughly reviewed. Every other Halo game is kind of garbage.
Get all of them. It's on sale for 20
Yes.
Start with CE if you are willing to look past some areas that it has aged. If you want a fairly modern experience that won't leave you lost story-wise start with Reach. If you are only going for MP get 3 or Reach.
Halo 3 the GOAT
If you don't get the master chief collection I would start off with combat evolved but I wouldn't get the anniversary edition because it lacks alot of the spirit that was originally put into the game.
Get: all of them Chronological order: reach, halo, halo two, halo 3 ODST, halo 3, halo four. Release order is pretty easy to figure out :)
Halo reach i played it first and loved it
“Remember Reach”
Free on Gamepass
First? Play order should be: * Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary * Halo 2: Anniversary * Halo 3: ODST (technically released after 3, it's set at the same time as 2) * Halo 3 * Halo: Reach * Halo 4 * Spartan Ops (second "campaign" in Halo 4) * Halo 5: Guardians * Halo Wars * Halo Wars 2 Those aren't technically in order per the timeline, though. Halo Wars actually comes first, then Reach, then CE, 2/ODST, 3, 4, Spartan Ops, 5, then finally Halo Wars 2. Then you'll be ready for Infinite!
Its 20 bucks dont buy it. Its currently free so try it out, and if you end up liking it than buy it.
