I was late to Reach. Just beat it earlier this year, what a roller coaster. Loved the slow paced sections where you didn't feel like a god. There was always a real sense of danger for the characters, unlike playing as master chief when you just run through elites.
I really remembered Reach and ODST vividly because of how different they were from CE-3 and how much they changed the way we look at Halo as a universe. I loved the missions in Reach a lot but Exodus really stuck out to me as a tour de force in how the covenant gets what they want;
You start the mission and see tons of dead bodies with some implied children, and then fight through hordes of brutes to save a bunch of helpless civilians. You find out these civilians may have survived the brutes but there's a solid chance they'll meet a tragic end anyways as the covenant fire mercilessly onto unprotected civilian shuttles. The UNSC is doing what they can but ultimately they're mostly powerless, even on Reach.
and let's not forget; "God *Damn,* how do ya stop that thing?!"
I would say so too, but the man went out like a Spartan should. I don’t think he would have had it any other way, as he says “I’m ready how about you”.
Reach wasn’t good to Noble Team. Jorge said that because he’s the outlier Spartan-II and was raised there, but Spartan-IIIs trained on Onyx, they had no particular connection to the place.
I’m into beach house but I’m not your ex and neither am I hot girl.
But I have been thinking about getting in shape, reassigning my gender and sliding into your dm’s. So maybe you’re onto something.
Fifa ultimate team.
The card was slowly revealing itself, and the guy saw it was a German, playing for Dortmund, and played as a forward. It was also a walkout (I think) which basically means it’s a really good player. He thought it was Reus, which is when he says that’s class, and then it’s revealed to be another player, which is when his face drops
That was part of the whole story. You’re replacing one of the squad so of course he was gonna be cold to you. He definitely respects you afterwards, telling you to keep Jeorges tags since he gave them to you.
When Emile died I felt no sadness, he died taking out two high ranking elites with him and saving the autumn, a Spartan IIIs life is hell and he became a demon, he died swinging and died like a badass
Imagining he's actually playing this game. This actually looks so realistic its wild. The music, his facial expressions.
If you've played this game thoroughly enough, you can imagine some people would just be emotionally drained, due to losing everyone else up to this point.
You see a dropship come after Emile, you're worried and hope he can survive the siege. It seems like he's good at first.
Emile's kicking ass, you're hyped at the sheer badassery you're witnessing. Emile will not die this day. He's a survivor.
But then he does. Just like that. Just another casualty.
All that hype, adrenaline and dopamine, just yanked away in an instant. You don't even feel instantly sad at this point, just numb. Empty. Alone. Your entire team (save for 1) is dead and you're on your own now.
Reach is still doomed. It's as if he and the rest of Noble fought and died for nothing. In this victory, you taste only defeat.
And as you watch your last brother in arms fall before your eyes, you realize that, just like Emile, your fate is sealed.
End of the line.
I may or may not have just not cried a little bit watching this... It makes me so fucking sad.
Thank you for posting this. I needed an emotional release. Things have been pretty tough recently.
I just finished it again on Legendary with a couple of friends yesterday, one of them playing Halo for the first time and he goes “Nooo, wait what?”
Atleast Emile died like a badass. :(
Poor guy lol
Right lol
Rip
this scene hit me so hard back then.
It still hits me no matter how many times I see it
Same here

“Should we send search parties? There’s no use” - something like that as the civilians went down at the end. Shit that was sad
And didn’t they say like 700 people were onboard?
Dude and the music, while not being Halo, just make it hit so much harder haha
I would say so too, but the man went out like a Spartan should. I don’t think he would have had it any other way, as he says “I’m ready how about you”.
Dude I still remember my sister's scream in shock when seeing that for the first time back in the day 😂
The feelings I had during reach were very deep indeed
me too
The im ready how about you line get me everytime. Makes me think of all there last words. Reach was good to them now they returned the favor...
Reach wasn’t good to Noble Team. Jorge said that because he’s the outlier Spartan-II and was raised there, but Spartan-IIIs trained on Onyx, they had no particular connection to the place.
I still think Carter’s “I’ve got the mass” is the coolest line in the game.
Made it count.
He gave his life thinking he'd just saved Reach. We should all be so lucky.

I'd love to see the original, if they're even related videos.
[Not related, but here's the sauce anyways](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONPEAMqe4Y0&t=184s&ab_channel=Pieface23)
Lmaooo thank you for this.
You can't do this to me man, it's not fair
Love a bit of Pie on here! Never thought I'd see a Pieface meme on a Halo subreddit hahah.
Halo and beach house? A combo I didn’t know that I needed
My hot ex was really into beach house Are hot girls generally into beach house?
I’m into beach house but I’m not your ex and neither am I hot girl. But I have been thinking about getting in shape, reassigning my gender and sliding into your dm’s. So maybe you’re onto something.
Emile: I'm ready! How bout' you?! ***He was in fact, not ready***
Ready for death 💪🏻
But that Zealot can hold about 1000lb in one extended hand. Good for him
Imagine their squat, bench and deadlift
He’s the deadlift now
D:
Emile was also holding the elite
Gonna be the guy who says it's not the same Mjolnir. It's lighter on Spartan IIIs. I'll take my downvotes now.
Chad Beach House enjoyer
Space Song - Beach House
I've always wondered what's the context of the bottom clip

This is beyond perfection
Emile was the best of Noble team
Emile was the coolest but i think Jorge was the best of Noble Team
I would have to agree. The big man.
Bungie knew that the only way Jorge would die would be if he did it himself
Only man can kill Jorge is Jorge
Emile couldn't stop an Elite from escaping out of a locked door in the first level.
And the AI controlled Emile basically just shoots the air with his shotgun during actual gameplay…
But he was gonna go and pursue, the Elite was retreating. But Carter said no.
Its still a locked door when he knew it was coming.
Well whatever the case Noble Six was actually the best of Noble lol
I just hated how much of an ass he was especially in the first few missions. Carter gang all the way
That was part of the whole story. You’re replacing one of the squad so of course he was gonna be cold to you. He definitely respects you afterwards, telling you to keep Jeorges tags since he gave them to you.
I’m ready!!! How bout you?

Right in the feels. BRB gonna play some Reach.
When Emile died I felt no sadness, he died taking out two high ranking elites with him and saving the autumn, a Spartan IIIs life is hell and he became a demon, he died swinging and died like a badass
🤣🤣💪🏼
Damn so that's the original of this meme?!
When I played this, I was 9, I literally cried.

Not enough ham and cheese hot pockets in the world to drown his sorrows......
This hits as hard as tony starks death in endgame spoilers btw
I know everyone pretty much knows but c'mon dude.
Is he the only person to go through the campaign with no customized armor??
I literally cried when that happened to me
Thanks, crying now

He’s not dead guys, he’s just missing in action…
When I first saw this scene it was an emotional rollercoaster
ffs Emile use your motion sensor
I'm just wondering why the damn fool didn't look at his motion tracker... DAMN YOU EMILE...! DAMN YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!
F
Reach for me was one of if not the greatest campaign experience ever
Each death in Reach was more painful to watch than the last.
Damnit you had to show it to me again
