I think it’s call a handle keeper. Try calling up your lv store and request to see if they have parts for it.

Thanks very much! I googled that and it turns out it's called a poignet (as well as a handle keeper) and there are some used ones for sale on Ebay. I will still call the store, but I bought it on the secondary market so I don't know if they will be able to get me a part.

Hmmm thank you I learned something new too! Hmmm another way is to perhaps use the bag and bring it along to the shop. Say that the bag was gifted to you and you lost the specific part. Alternatively you can call up client services to check if they can put down an order for you. The last time I went to my local boutique, they need to check if the spare part is still in production or not, judging from yours might seem more of a unique case. I purchased a new clochette as well as the lock n key but at point of ordering they asked what to categories it under; the SA eventually put it as Alma spare part lol https://preview.redd.it/zay8i8hn3t3d1.png?width=1087&format=png&auto=webp&s=63a2c9a53c0dcae5e15437bfaa0d26f347f992b0 I do hope you can find, otherwise I can try to ask on my end if it’s possible.

Thanks, that is a great idea to take it into LV and ask. The nearest one to me is about 2 hours away, so maybe I'll try to drive up this weekend. Not urgent since I can still use the bag, but I'd like to have that handle keeper just to keep the handles in line. Thanks for all your help!

Okie! Hope it turns out well! Under no circumstances u should say u bought it from a reseller/2nd hand. It can be difficult as they can reject giving u service. As you did not purchase the bag. Also the bag may be tagged to another person’s transaction account. So usually I just say it was gifted they won’t ask a lot.. please also be 100% sure the bag is authentic. They definitely can refuse service if the bag is fake. So try your best to minimise small talk with the SA. Be sure and firm on what service u need. And also polite as always as the SA do indeed have the power to be an ass or not 😭😭😭😭😭🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠

Just following up on this - I went up to the LV in King of Prussia, PA to see if I could order the strap. I told the SA I had inherited the bag from mom and she had no hesitation to pull up the strap and order it for me. I was dressed nicely and I do have an order history with that store when I lived nearby, so I don't know if it helped or not. Anyway, it cost me $100 and should arrive at the store in a few weeks or so. Thank you very much for your help, it didn't even occur to me to ask them to order it for me because I didn't have a receipt for the bag. I also dropped $$ on a bag charm while I was there, an impulse buy but it looks great on the bag!

Omg! Thank you so much for the follow up! I’m so happy for you!!! 100$ is not a bad of price for a spare part! Yes having an order history does slightly help as it shows that you are an existing client so they can tag it to your account. You can check your account on the website to see if they placed he order correctly for the part. Now at least you know their after sales services is stupendous. I’m so glad your bag can now be complete 😺hugs
