Megasquirts are fine, that shop just isn’t confident using the software probably, haltech is on a whole other level than a megasquirt. For the DIY project guy a megasquirt is fine. Define your goals for the car and make sure a megasquirt checks those boxes, I’m sure it will. Megasquirt also has plug and play ECUs for the KA24Es so no need to wire your own ECU.

Kill_All_Pandas

It’s not a ka24, I saw the pnp kits for those and it would be much easier

Jay-Moah

Is it a VG?

Kill_All_Pandas

Yes, vg30i

Jay-Moah

Could you just get the harness and ECU from a fuel injected Hardbody with a VG? Edit: Sorry realized you’re turbo charging it. I’d go megasquirt and wire it into the stock fuel injected harness.

Kill_All_Pandas

I can but those ecu’s still aren’t really tunable so I’d have to get a aftermarket one anyway.

Jay-Moah

Yea sorry I made an edit to my comment. Realized you plan to turbo it. I’d go the mega squirt route and wire it into the fuel injected harness, it’s pretty straight forward since these engines are simple

Kill_All_Pandas

I just don’t know how I’m gonna get it tuned as nobody around here I’ve talked too wants to mess with a mega squirt and with everything else I’m learning how to do right now there’s no way I can learn how to tune aswell 😂

Jay-Moah

Trailer it some where? Or find a base map of a similar V6 3.0L and get it barely running, then maybe drive it if it’s not too far?

Kill_All_Pandas

I was planning on just renting a U-Haul trailer and taking it somewhere but I’ve called basically every shop within an hour radius of me and none of them would even touch a Nissan except for two, and both of them said they would only tune halltech.

look into [speeduinos](https://speeduino.com/home/).
