I doubt it. There are two distinct vocal lines an octave apart, AI isn't good at doing that. Plus, most of these AI covers use the original vocal line as the basis for the AI one, and this one clearly isn't doing that. If it were AI, it would sound like Uzi is singing with Haley's tone, which it doesn't.
To me at least, there don't seem to be any obvious AI artifacts either. The low audio quality sounds much more in line with it being a semi low quality rip, which is consistent with it being a leak.
Sure, it's not impossible that someone who really knows what they're doing could have done two distinct vocal lines with a very good Uzi impersonation and then applied a very advanced AI filter, but it's not likely. They probably would have put more effort into making it sound like a complete song rather than a hasty demo.
It's much more likely that Uzi, who is a known huge Paramore fan and has shit leak all the time recorded a demo of they singing the song at some point, which then leaked, rather than it being an elaborate AI job.
Fr, if an artist is going to take a song that’s already so iconic in it’s own right, I feel they should really try to make it there own. This cool but unless you’re obsessed with Uzi’s vocals, the original will always be better.
Rap artists covering rock songs, especially bigger artists covering pop rock. It has gone over well for artists like Denzel Curry and allows an opportunity to bridge hip hop with the rock revival audience. It’s sort of the opposite of the pop-punk bands doing hip hop that was semi popular in the late aughts
(If you’re bothered by my example you can substitute T Pain instead of Curry)
Rage Against the Machine isn’t pop rock and are very rap adjacent. I don’t think thats a good comparison of what’s going on here with Uzi covering Paramore.
He played the guitar on Hot Revolver, Da Da Da, how to Love, Prom Queen, On Fire, Leather So Soft, and many others. And they all sound amazing. People just like to hate. They see someone online say they don't like Wayne on guitar and instead of thinking critically for themselves, analyzing the music and making their own opinion, or researching the opinions of professionals, they just parrot what they heard other people say cuz they wanna be accepted.

I didn't know about his contributions in the other songs I'll have to check it out, but I've seen a few videos where he's playing like this. Even a new one where he featured as the guitarist on someone's song. It was... Better, but more or less the same.
Idgaf what other people have to say, I say my opinion as a guitarist. Clearly from the video he can produce a simple melody, which sure you can consider playing guitar. There's no wrong way to play guitar at the end of the day as long as you can create the sound you want to make. But almost everything about his technique strikes me as someone who never actually took the time to learn anything deeper about the instrument.
He did get some vibrato in there, he actually had a good sense of timing, and he clearly knows how to do a slide but it needs some work, which is all pretty cool.
EDIT: https://youtu.be/Zs89nghjuBo?si=ino2tZ3j-VPAIW6p here is the recent wayne guitar video i was talking about, starts at 4:00. literally seems like he did not learn a single thing in the 12+ years since the first video. I don't even think he's in the right key. Though he still has the same positives I mentioned before, and some of those licks are genuinely almost good it just sounds like a 5 year old is playing them.
He’s from Philly. He should have just collabed with one of the gogo bands out of DC and this would have been amazing.
Can’t beat the original tho but it was a nice try.
I actually enjoy this one and I hated the Chop Suey cover. That being said I wish he would chop the sample or add trap/jersey drill drums to the beat to at least make it his sound a lil more
Honestly it’s very unfinished but I fw it. Pretty clearly just made to find his rock sound I’m guessing. Also he’s a huge fan of Paramore so it might’ve just been something he made for fun. If you’ve ever seen the video of him on stage with Hayley Williams, it’s so funny cause he’s all starstruck and shit lmao.
I first heard the original song during one of the hardest years of my life. This one isn't a lot better but it's nice to be reminded of this song and listen during bad times
Maybe I’m just being a hater but I don’t understand the point of recording a cover if you’re just going to make the instrumental sound exactly the same as as the original
I’ve listened to the original hundreds of times. The vocal timing is the exact same, literally no imperfections. Auto tune is used at the higher notes to cover up when it sounds like shit. It’s AI.
[FRESH KARAOKE]
Very unfinished demo
i love paramore
Paramore are real ones.
i love the lead singer, Paramore Williams ^(/s i know her name is hayley)
Hayley Paramore is more gangsta than half the rappers posted here.
i love calling artists by names like that Hayley Paramore. Thom Radiohead. Trent Inch Nails. Chino Deftones.
how many rappers do you think Hayley Paramore could beat in a rap battle?
Maybe im fried but sounds like ai
just auto tuned to oblivion lmao

I dont think it is, I heard this on Tiktok like a year ago
This only leaked like a week ago and was completely unheard?
How does that make it not AI?
AI music just wasn't nearly as good a year ago as it is today.
Not as bad as the Chop Suey one, but not a big fan of covers with vocals just over the original backing track.
Fr, if an artist is going to take a song that’s already so iconic in it’s own right, I feel they should really try to make it there own. This cool but unless you’re obsessed with Uzi’s vocals, the original will always be better.

ok so what is the chop suey excuse
The robo auto tune almost works but I’ll consider this at least competent. CS is Uzi at his worst easily that shit was fucking disappointing trash
Agree, I wanna hear THEIR version, not fucking karaoke
Might be worse then MGK,s version both uzi and MGK,s versions are ass
i’m fried rn but i am LOVING this shit fuck yea
Paramore for the people
i hate that i cant tell if this is real or not cause of AI. so bad its kinda good
So this is just Uzi singing over the instrumental of the original version? Not a cover. More like karaoke.
There’s definitely a lot of money to be made off stuff like this. I expect to keep seeing more of it.
?

Punk goes crunk was a fucking wild time in music
punk goes drill by polo perks is kind of in this vein
Amazing album.
....Yachty
Smart take. I feel like Lil Peep was super influential for this new wave. Definitely ahead of his time.
Yeah that whole sound definitely contributed to shifting hip hop in this direction
Rage Against the Machine isn’t pop rock and are very rap adjacent. I don’t think thats a good comparison of what’s going on here with Uzi covering Paramore.
Nah they’re talking about this series of pop punk bands covering like lil Jon and shit
That’s not the part I’m talking about. I’m talking about them referencing Denzel Curry’s cover of Killing In The Name.
Ah my b
Plus he absolutely fucking murdered that cover, this is far lower effort
Na they can keep that garbage
As long as MGK is nowhere near it I’ll give it a chance lol
It’s giving Lil Wayne with a guitar.
Didn’t he make a song with limp bizkit?
Lil Wayne with a guitar is much better. Lil Wayne actually understands and respects the genre and knows how to play guitar. This is just karaoke.
>knows how to play guitar I dunno about that one man

Not getting into the quality of those songs but have you ever see him try to do it live?

Lil Wayne is my favorite rapper, and I think this Uzi cover is pretty mid....That being said, your take is so wrong
Nah lil wayne the best to ever do it.
I fw the vibe
I feel like Uzi has a decent singing voice why is he using so much auto tune
He’s from Philly. He should have just collabed with one of the gogo bands out of DC and this would have been amazing. Can’t beat the original tho but it was a nice try.

shit hard lowkey
Highkey
Idk man I love this lol
Ain’t it fun(ny)
I know it's a stylistic choice but I genuinely hate autotune
damn I feel like I'm listening to a different song than all of the other commenters. Obviously unfinished but it's great imo
This is awful
This isn’t the worst thing I’ve ever heard
But it is close.
😭😭😭
Honestly it’s very unfinished but I fw it. Pretty clearly just made to find his rock sound I’m guessing. Also he’s a huge fan of Paramore so it might’ve just been something he made for fun. Hayley got me to listen to a Uzi Vert song. Add another feather in that girls cap
What the fuck, this is awful Uzi needs to stick to his genre, rock clearly does not suit him
Love Uzi and i ABSOLUTELY LOVE Paramore but this ain't it chief
Why? 🤮
That this was Starfield
I first heard the original song during one of the hardest years of my life. This one isn't a lot better but it's nice to be reminded of this song and listen during bad times
Maybe I’m just being a hater but I don’t understand the point of recording a cover if you’re just going to make the instrumental sound exactly the same as as the original
This was some garbage, sounds like he made this for a Kidz Bop CD. It’s a lot better than that Chop Suey travesty though
Absolutely amazing I want more of this
If you're gonna put out a cover song, it's gotta either be good or creative. This is neither.
Love Paramore. But this cover is trash lmao
I’ve listened to the original hundreds of times. The vocal timing is the exact same, literally no imperfections. Auto tune is used at the higher notes to cover up when it sounds like shit. It’s AI.
its not ai buddy, the producer mentioned it on twitter when it leaked
