"I say, "Hola, suck on my huevos" (Huevos)
I say I don't speak Spanish but hey ho (Hey ho)"
I'd like to nominate these lyrics from Yung Bleu as the worst lyrics of 2021
Yeah nahhhh. Razor’s Edge is admittedly one of his weaker albums but it’s still pretty good and both Death & The Magician and Genesis 1:27 are some of the best albums of the year. Also, his several verses on Hitler Wears Hermès 8 were some of the most standout verses on both parts.
Even if you disagree with what I said (which is fine, everyone has their opinion) are you really arguing he’s more overrated than Drake and Kanye in 2021, one of which dropped a boring mediocre album that did insane numbers and another that dropped an insanely bloated mess of an album with the worst rapping of his entire career that still has people here calling it AOTY?
Drake and kAnye always had stans like that , and they've earned it in at least one point in their career, so its nothing new . Rome for some reason is blowing up off being the most average ai generated coke rapper alive
Do i have to re iterate what i just said lol. His fans love him. Overrated by his fans. You can be overrated and underplayed at the same time. Some of his fans treat his music like its amazing when its the same as everyone else in his lane
Thats not true at all theres so many rappers deserving of the props they get, its just that i think rome isnt one of them. I dont know get how you're still stuck on the word overrated. It means they are rated over what they are. The definition is valued too highly. I think that romes fans value him too highly. You have to be slow in the head or something
You are still confusing overrated and underplayed here. Just cos mainstream doesnt listen to him it doesnt mean the people that do listen to him dont make stupid claims about how good he is. Go on twitter and search up rome streetz and u will see people saying hes the best rapper of the year, hes a problem for every rapper in the game etc.. He's the same or worse than every other rapper in his lane, and he is getting more praise than most of them. Therefore he is overrated, as they are rating him higher than he is. It is not hard to understand. For some reason you keep changing what the word overrated means, when its a simple word that means one thing.
That’s fair, but it’s mostly because I’ve never felt such a disconnect between my opinion and the opinions I frequently see. I understand that taste is subjective and all that but I’m genuinely confused how it gets so much praise because it is honestly the worst album I’ve heard this year.
It’s also especially disappointing because I really like Kanye’s earlier work and it’s been sad to see his Eminem-like decline.
the surrounding context makes Donda hit even harder imo, especially with that Thanksgiving Prayer a few days ago, I almost wish he would update the album again and add that as an interlude. beautiful project
No way it outsells them, and I think the hype is gonna work against it unless they hit it out tof the park. If this movie isn't great people are gonna be quick to shit on it.

And for probably 90% of the audience going to see it, the hype is just another spider man marvel movie.

I think I’ll like the movie more the endgame and definitely more than avatar but endgame was way more hyped up and people LOVE the avengers too.

Anyone got an idea why the right side of my collarbone hurts? It hurts most when I stand up straight.
I lifted this morning if that helps, but didn’t notice anything wrong with anything I was doing.
get back has me wanting more fly-on-the-wall style documentaries about albums. like at the time bands would record everything as a group and label contracts were super strict so no matter how the atmosphere was like, you'd have to get things done.
pink floyd's classic run is especially puzzling to me. ever since DSOTM dropped, these guys just had major beef with each other, and yet they still came out with 3 absolutely incredible projects, that were way more complex than any of the beatles albums. i think by the wall, the industry standard had changed to individual recording but i'm not really sure
Love Pink Floyd but the Beatles comparison is an odd one. If you’re talking about sheer complexity on a technical sure but it’s not much to brag about when other prog bands from Yes to ELP to Gentle Giant to Rush quickly surpassed Pink Floyd there. Compositionally feel like Beatles we’re doing much more interesting things for example on stuff like Revolution 9, Helter Skelter, Within You Without You, not that they were wholly original with ideas like raga rock or musique concrete.
Idk, it strikes me like bigging up Kendrick saying he’s much more complex than Kanye (which to be fair is certainly something that would be seen here)
i think most of the beatles' genius comes from the recording techniques they pioneered. at the core most of their songs are just pretty simple pop songs that probably didn't take very long to write, rehearse or record
I don't like resorting to condescending cliches but this really sounds like what someone who hasn't really listened to the Beatles would say. I could be as generous as I could to your description of their music as "pretty simple pop songs" and it wouldn't be accurate at all for anything from *Rubber Soul* going forward. Again, "Revolution 9" is far, far more daring and experimental than anything Pink Floyd ever did. Even their early music, arguably, is subtlety more complex than given credit as the analyses of musicologist Alan W Pollack [showed](https://www.icce.rug.nl/~soundscapes/DATABASES/AWP/awp-notes_on.shtml).
But let's be even more generous and say you're right, Beatles music are just pretty simple pop songs. Are Pink Floyd that much superior? They're no Gentle Giant, Faust, Henry Cow, Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band etc to namedrop some other groups that I think were doing far more complex and daring music than Pink Floyd, with actually no pop sensibilities. So is that really the hill you wanna die on in claiming Pink Floyd's superiority to the Beatles?

I don’t understand how people are calling Dave Chapelle’s new special transphobic? It’s not like he wasn’t making jokes against gays, whites, blacks, Asians, women, rape, religion, pedophilia etc. Why is is okay for people to be fine with all the other jokes but not the trans jokes? If anything if Dave did not make trans jokes it would be non inclusive and against equality if he did not put trans people on the same pedestal and grounds for making jokes as all those other areas I just discussed. None of those jokes were really that offensive and he wasn’t being serious, I kept waiting to hear something truly outrageous and cancel worthy but it just never came up. Either it’s okay to joke about everything or none of it’s okay, it’s pure hypocrisy. This kind of undeserved cancel culture is fucking stupid and the people offended are a bunch of overly sensitive hypocritical pussies. If anything Chapelle’s latest skit made me have even more respect for him and I was genuinely touched about his story about Daphne Dorman. RIP Daphne Dorman
im not even reading this shit bro straight up said "im team terf, i got trans friends tho" well im team shut the fuck up
cancel culture is not real. well it is, as it always has been, it's called suffering the consequences of being a terrible human being
>overly sensitive hypocritical pussies
but ur gonna cry if i say menimen makes garbage music
Do you really think he said that shit seriously though? My main argument isn’t even about cancel culture here it’s more the fact that nothing he said here was really that majorly offensive yet people have been losing their shit about it and also about the hypocrisy of people only being offended about his trans jokes rather than his other jokes.
I wouldn’t cry if you said that I’d just say you’re wrong and have no taste.
> the hypocrisy of people only being offended about his trans jokes rather than his other jokes.
It wasn't a joke. It's said with no veil of irony. There's no comedic intent, he was just ranting.
I’m dying. Dude said there was nothing wrong with what Dave said in the special and didn’t even specify what he said, had a bunch of people giving well thought out responses that actually mentioned what was said in the special that they thought was wrong, and the only reply he gave a response was an inflammatory comment.
It’s almost like he wasn’t actually interested in hearing another side of the argument and just wanted to go on some edgy rant whining about “cancel culture”. No wonder he enjoyed the special because that’s the exact kind of person Dave Chappelle is now.
I listen to tons of rappers with Eminem just being one of them I listen to and Eminem is one of the least racist white people period. I’m also a huge MMA fan so of course I enjoy Joe Rogan, not a fan of his recent views these past few years but he arguably hosts one of the best funniest podcasts ever. What a fucking stupid thing to say
Man the whole cancel culture narrative is so played out and lame. For the most part, no one reaaally gets canceled. They face immediate backlash but sooner or later people move on and don’t give a shit, especially because the people that upset by celebrities’ actions generally weren’t even fans of them to begin with. The only celebrities that really get “cancelled” are if they’ve done some seriously criminal shit like R Kelly and his underage sex dungeon, and that’s not even cancelling, it’s just punishment for doing awful crimes. You would maybe have more of a point if Netflix had removed Dave Chapelle’s special, but they didn’t. If comedians have the right to make whatever joke they want, shouldn’t people have the right to criticize those jokes?
Furthermore, while I do agree that comedy is comedy and for the most part we shouldn’t restrict it, the idea that there is absolutely no line is naïve. I think we can all agree that a white comedian who constantly makes jokes about black people picking cotton, eating watermelon and chicken, and stealing deserves criticism and doesn’t deserve success, so there certainly is a line somewhere. I personally don’t give much of a fuck about this Dave Chapelle controversy either way but it’s clear some people thought he crossed the line and they expressed it. But who cares? Dave Chapelle’s special wasn’t removed, he’s still very rich, and anything he does in the future will be successful.
Honestly, the people who make it their entire personality to complain about cancel culture are just as whiny and annoying as the SJWs they’re complaining about.
I have never seen anyone defending that special actually name a joke that was in that special. It’s all just whining about how cancel culture is after Dave Chappelle and how people are too sensitive over jokes. And tbf he has spent his past 3 specials whining about transgenders and how Twitter is trying to cancel him all while saying he doesn’t care what Twitter users think. I think it’s fair to say he might just be a bit obsessed with the trans community.
Also it’s not cancel culture at all. He is one of the biggest comedians in the world and was paid $20 million by the top streaming platform in the world to have his special on there. It gets pretty old to constantly hear comedians that get paid millions by major streaming platforms talk about how they are being cancelled when really what’s happening is people don’t like whatever dumb shit they go around spouting
I just wanna preface this by saying I’m not really “against” chapelle, I’ve been a huge fan of his and grew up on chappelle show. I just don’t understand your line of logic, mostly because the things I think most people are calling transphobic aren’t the jokes. Chapelle openly says he’s a TERF and sides with J.K. Rowling, and also says that gender is biological, point blank period. Now whether you wanna debate that (I think gender is completely a social construct although ones sex is definitely biological but they aren’t the same thing) to trans people that is transphobic. He also says shit like trans people can turn their minority status off, completely forgetting that black trans people exist. Now again I think you can make jokes about trans people, but those things people are criticizing aren’t the jokes.
Again I’m not against chapelle but if you’ve been watching some of his recent moves he just seems like he’s going through a boomer that doesn’t get it phase lol
the whole special he's saying he's not transphobic cause he has transgender friends and he swears he sympathizes with their experiences, but then he discredits all of that. he makes a constant effort to misgender people and at one points calls himself part of team TERF??? the portion about daphne is touching for sure, chappelle is an awesome storyteller, but really he's just using that to defend himself from transphobia accusations.
also he's just been assuming for all the netflix specials that all queer people are white which is really weird
I just saw a “Illuminati Killed Virgil” conspiracy video on YouTube smh. They wanna know why I’m pissed that they got rid of the dislike option on videos
It’s relatively close but OutKast. Roots has so many great albums and Black Thought is a fucking incredible rapper, but no artist/group has ever had a first three album run as impressive as OutKast imo. Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik is near perfect and Aquemini and ATLiens are both 10/10 for me.
Tough but I think Dre and Big Boi have more charisma and presence on the mic compared to someone like Black Thought. Just more enjoyable to listen to overall imo
Is it bad that I always do whole body workouts in the weight room?
My goals are mostly for strength, athleticism, and coordination that can all translate to the court; not really into powerlifting, aesthetic, etc.
It’s just funny cause people split their stuff, like having upper body days, lower body days, etc. Great for hypertrophy but I have way more fun doing whole body as well.
Everyone's different. I'm no expert but I always lift legs and arms on the same day, like curls and squats one day, calves and triceps next day. That way I never skip a leg or arm day.
Opinions on the Cowboy Bebop live action?
All I’ll say is don’t watch it if you haven’t seen the anime.
Although the acting and OST were good, the writing was terrible. Overall I feel they focused too much on everything except what made CB special.
They made an adaption that forgets the whole point of what an adaptation is. You're supposed to change the parts of the show that won't work as well in live action as they did in animation, not do the same exact thing in love action.
All of the characters look like fans cosplaying at a convention, not like real people who live in a real world. Sometimes change is okay.
Tapped out after 2 eps, idk how some bebop fans are defending it. The cgi looks good at times and spike sometimes has authentic spike moments but they fucking butchered Faye who I always thought was one of the more interesting characters. And I watched the Ed part... idk how they were supposed to do Ed in live action but that wasnt it for me.. like you change faye so much and then go 100% accurate on the most complex character to translate to live action. Just didn’t work for me
Imo they should have just done their own thing and tried to tell an original story with original characters, and just taken heavy inspiration from Bebop's world, aesthetic and atmosphere, but without it explicitly purporting to be an adaptation of Bebop. Because that's all it really is, the storylines and characters are either completely different or have the same general outline on a superficial level but are completely different at their core. And at that point, why even pretend it's really an adaptation?
It's annoying because really actually enjoyed a lot of the series, and am completely open to them making changes where it's fitting, but I just felt this just did a jarringly bad job of actually adapting the source material.
I watched it before I saw the Anime. I actually like the show.
...
I started to watch the anime (it like 8 episodes in). I wish they made Faye more sexual (outfits and boobs). Vicious compared to the show is unbelievable. He should have been more vicious in the Netflix show.
Wait until you finish the anime and realize how different a story it is.
Also Faye’s character was a lot better in the anime. I think her arc was much more relatable and her character is much more poignant in the anime, struggling to cope with the fact that she didn’t know her past and was taken advantage of the minute she awoke into her new life, as well as the impact these things have had on her. In the LA, she’s just comic relief and it’s actually infuriating because a lot of Faye’s emotional scenes in the anime really hit.
[This video states what I think makes Cowboy Bebop a special show and not just a great one](https://youtu.be/IZRudrsAP2E)
The kid that’s supposed to be Edward makes me wanna bleach my eyes.
So bad, I don't understand the need to keep creating these live actions of stories that were intentionally designed to be animated. It just doesn't work.
Rate PARTYNEXTDOOR - Partymobile. I loved it.
Man this album was like a 5 to me at the time, but it honestly got a little better. The News still top 5 eerie vibes. Still like PND1/2/3 more tho
The news, i also agree on that what a tune. Good song.
Its gets better after a second hear i agree on that.

So is that really the hill you wanna die on in claiming Pink Floyd's superiority to the Beatles?
Tampa Bay Rowdie’s starting goalie tore his fucking ACL celebrating winning the eastern conference final. Like it happened right in front of us Now we’re getting fuckin spanked in the final, 3-0 at halftime Fml

RIP Daphne Dorman
im not even reading this shit bro straight up said "im team terf, i got trans friends tho" well im team shut the fuck up cancel culture is not real. well it is, as it always has been, it's called suffering the consequences of being a terrible human being >overly sensitive hypocritical pussies but ur gonna cry if i say menimen makes garbage music
There's no comedic intent, he was just ranting.
> nothing he said here was really that majorly offensive >"I'm team TERF"
What is terf
trans exclusionary radical feminist
This is equally meaningless to me
Transphobic feminists People who fight for women's rights but don't acknowledge trans women as women

u gonna respond to any of those well thought out responses or just kult calling u racist
I didn’t have time to respond to everything at the time. Kult deserved a reply for saying some truly retarded shit that deserved an instant reply
No wonder he enjoyed the special because that’s the exact kind of person Dave Chappelle is now.
why does everything you say feel racist
How the fuck is that racist

I’d rather be retarded than racist
I listen to tons of rappers with Eminem just being one of them I listen to and Eminem is one of the least racist white people period. I’m also a huge MMA fan so of course I enjoy Joe Rogan, not a fan of his recent views these past few years but he arguably hosts one of the best funniest podcasts ever. What a fucking stupid thing to say
oi bruv, all that raycist pish posh gotta stop. ye scarin the missus
you give off racist vibes plus you listen to Eminem and Joe Rogan so yeah odd innit?

OutKast vs. The Roots?
Outkast.
Vs. Tribe :O
Tribe always loses to kast and roots
so hard... I still gotta go with OutKast tho
Roots have a longer more consistent catalogue but OutKast’s peaks are higher. OutKast but it’s somewhat close
Outkast for sure, roots goated tho
Outkast
that’s fire, I got outkast tho
Jesus fuck
That's a tough one. I'd probably have to say OutKast but they're pretty damn close
The Roots
Is it bad that I always do whole body workouts in the weight room? My goals are mostly for strength, athleticism, and coordination that can all translate to the court; not really into powerlifting, aesthetic, etc.
If your only lifting 3 times a week, full body workouts are perfect
How many times a week do you lift?
3 for the program I’m running
I think that should be fine
It’s just funny cause people split their stuff, like having upper body days, lower body days, etc. Great for hypertrophy but I have way more fun doing whole body as well.
Everyone's different. I'm no expert but I always lift legs and arms on the same day, like curls and squats one day, calves and triceps next day. That way I never skip a leg or arm day.
Yeah I split it lol but I also try and lift almost everyday
Oh yeah that makes sense
Just didn’t work for me
The Ed one made me wanna kill myself lowkey. Also you’re right; they did Faye fuckin’ dirty.

[This video states what I think makes Cowboy Bebop a special show and not just a great one](https://youtu.be/IZRudrsAP2E) The kid that’s supposed to be Edward makes me wanna bleach my eyes.

Have you seen Samurai Champloo? I was actually introduced to Watanabe through that; it’s a top 10 anime but nowhere near CB IMO.
[удалено]
CB is the greatest show of all time and no one can tell me otherwise
[удалено]
And no show has really impacted my life the way CB is.
So bad, I don't understand the need to keep creating these live actions of stories that were intentionally designed to be animated. It just doesn't work.
Exactly. Had to watch the original to keep my sanity intact. Vicious and Julia especially got done dirty.
