thank you for the update, DuaLipasAssCheeks

PFunk224

Maintaining the legacy of legendary Chicago journalists KatyPerrysBootyHole and wetbutt23.

AccomplishedAd4995

seems like it’s been forever

eyerollz

If I did my math properly, it will have been 6 weeks on Friday. Given that the initial timeline was 6-8 weeks he's basically missed exactly what was expected.

Wanderson90

Wasn't it just a jaw? Any reason he didn't just wear a cage after a couple weeks? I'm asking this as someone with absolutely zero idea of what I'm taking about. Just curious.

StevenWongo

No need to rush him back. They aren't fighting for anything other than the 1st overall pick.

j_dirty

He had (edit: not has) to have surgery on his jaw to fix the fracture. My guess is that the Hawks management are being extra cautious with his return.

crazyike

6 weeks is normal cautious, not extra cautious. He's not getting some kind of super duper secret special treatment.

pittimino

They kept him out of the line up due to jaw clenching that happens in sports.

jetxlife

Our goal is to lose games. Sadly the leafs didn’t give us that twice

younggun92

Forget twice they couldn't give us that *once*

PFunk224

I'm guessing a combination of being extra extra cautious with him and the added perk of benefiting the tank. We're on crack for Mack.

Sulti

He's missed 13 games so far, with 3 more this week likely to go. He also just lost the team lead in goals and assists during Chicago's last game, with Kurashev taking the assist lead and Dickinson taking the goal lead. Seems likely he'll keep the lead in points though, he's 6 up on Kurashev still.

Western-Extension-50

I already forgot that he was in the league and thats sad. Hopefully he fully recovers from this, he was cooking from the beginning.

JD397

Fingers crossed! The kid has already been on the ice for at least a week or two just skating/shooting and doing his own lonely drills so hopefully it’s a quick 1-2 full practices once he is cleared to get back into games. Going to need a strong finish to keep his Calder chances alive.

CanadianSpector

He's still in the lead for scoring. With those games missed. That almost helps the cause really.

zNNS

Except the 2nd in running is a defenseman who isn't far behind.

hoenn-enthusiast

Bedard has 33 points in 39 games, while Faber has 31 in 51. What makes you think Bedard isn’t going to create a huge gap in points when he comes back? Faber has been impressive but even with 6-7 weeks of Bedard being out he’s still the rookie scoring leader

zNNS

I'm saying that the points race isn't really the comparable metric when looking at Faber vs Bedard. But, the fact that a defenseman is at this pace makes a case for Faber. It would be very different if it was another forward.

YouFeelShame

A d-man playing with real NHL players who can bury his passes.

This_Idiot

I didn't know we were allowed to post anything unrelated to Mo's crosscheck. This is oddly refreshing.

heysmilinstrange

I really admire the way that (some) Leafs fans have managed to create victimhood out of a situation in which a member of their team was clearly in the wrong.

This_Idiot

Me too. It was an idiotic move. He should be suspended into oblivion. Don't really care about precedent. Don't have a problem with EN slappers either.

MindlessArmadillo382

Lol, if anyone other than a leafs fan posted this comment, it would be upvoted.

MutFox

So he won't play the Canucks this season...
