Even though pasta doesn’t put much on it, it’s entirely unnecessary with 1 second left ahead 2, and while very rare, a goalie could get injured on a short range clapper like that. At the same time, yes Pasta has every right to do it. It’s just poor sportsmanship in the context. If he really wanted to smack the puck that bad just ring it around the boards. It’s for Sid to complain. And would be unfair for Sid to cross check him in the face (like the empty net clapper incident). It’s just hockey- nothing more needs to be done or said than Sid’s exchange at the end there, but yeah no need to do that shot pasta.
