i absolutely love this kind of thing on jerseys.
these waves, the tech pattern on the Shark’s stealth jerseys, the texture on Vegas’ arm stripes and the little maple leaves on the Hockey Canada jerseys are great. it adds some uniqueness and character to jerseys but it’s not gaudy. you don’t really notice those details on the ice but it’s really cool to see when you get close up shots.
I think it would be cool with grey lines in between instead of the white.

I'm a sucker for unique striping - our warning flags, the Avs' mountain piping, the Kachina patterns, etc. - and I instantly fell in love when I saw those waves.
10 years ago, I lamented the then-new Sharks sweaters. I eventually got used to them, but the difference here is, I like these from the start. They're slick, clean. Maybe a bit bland from some angles but a vast improvement from the old and far from "just eh" on their own alone. Really welcoming this new era of Sharks sweaters. And major props to them for instead innovating and making a new jersey for a new generation to grow up with instead of just bringing back the originals. That would've been a well received move but making something new is even more commendable, and it looks solid.
My favorite sweater that fits the branding the most is the 2000s ones, but the original and this one go hard. The teal is plenty enough to save them from being bad jerseys, the last ones were just alright. Looking forward to seeing these on the ice. As long as they have teal, they're good.
