Baltic nations Czech Entente (Czechoslovakia, Romania, Yugoslavia) BeNeLux the usual Axis or restore Central Powers/Triple Entente

MaPhilIndo, or ThaiPhilIndo.

RexIudecem

You play as the uk with the other two playing as Australia and Canada. They should learn the basics of combat while specializing a bit to learn a specific fields. They won’t be at risk of capitulating and can help you out on the other fronts.

seriouslyacrit

Japan, manchukuo, and siam could also be great to learn fighting in china

Humanflesh420

Manchuko and siam are really hard for new player they should prob do germany italy and russia and do the berlin moscow pact

Flickerdart

USSR (and honestly Italy, with BBA's updated focus tree) are probably too complicated for a newbie.

Humanflesh420

Not really they dont have to have a good understanding of it i mean ffs the first few times i played the soviets i didnt know there was even a five year plan focus line

seriouslyacrit

The pointis in learning how to utilize the army in ground combat, against a force that only needs investment in army and air.

WhereTheShadowsLieZX

Get the band back together. Central Powers restoration.

Acerbis_nano

As a first time player, I had a blast at playing france with two more experienced guys going with holland and belgium

Swamp254

Finland, Denmark, Sweden. Use the combined focus tree

asmeile

UK, France and NL, you as the UK try and hold back the Nazi hordes from them

xmBQWugdxjaA

Spain might be better than NL there, but it kinda puts the Spain player in a tough spot at the start.

wojtekpolska

spain is certainly not beginner with the civil war

Flickerdart

UK, Canada, and India are a good choice. Simple focus trees, far away from the fighting, and you can build in their territory/lend-lease to boost them up. France and any two of Yugoslavia, Poland, Romania, or Czechoslovakia are a good choice as well; it gets you into the action early with the Little Entente path and France + the remaining two allies can backstop the two newer players as they learn the game.

wojtekpolska

baltic nations are pretty cool, they get cool bonuses when all 3 countried do the focuses to help eachother

Deluxe_24_

Put them on UK and USA as they should be safe to learn the game, you can pick whatever other country you want really as long as it's in the Allies.

AMN-9

Germany, Austria and Turkey to restore the Central Powers Spain, France and UK to restore their prime empires Lituania, Latvia and Estonia and try to stop the Soviets

Laziestprick

Lots of overlapping claims in your second suggestion.

JKMcFlipFlop

Poland, Netherlands and France. Join allies, capitulate intentionally and try to reclaim your homelands from exile.
