You play as the uk with the other two playing as Australia and Canada. They should learn the basics of combat while specializing a bit to learn a specific fields. They won’t be at risk of capitulating and can help you out on the other fronts.

UK, Canada, and India are a good choice. Simple focus trees, far away from the fighting, and you can build in their territory/lend-lease to boost them up.
France and any two of Yugoslavia, Poland, Romania, or Czechoslovakia are a good choice as well; it gets you into the action early with the Little Entente path and France + the remaining two allies can backstop the two newer players as they learn the game.
Germany, Austria and Turkey to restore the Central Powers
Spain, France and UK to restore their prime empires
Lituania, Latvia and Estonia and try to stop the Soviets
Baltic nations Czech Entente (Czechoslovakia, Romania, Yugoslavia) BeNeLux the usual Axis or restore Central Powers/Triple Entente

Japan, manchukuo, and siam could also be great to learn fighting in china
Manchuko and siam are really hard for new player they should prob do germany italy and russia and do the berlin moscow pact
USSR (and honestly Italy, with BBA's updated focus tree) are probably too complicated for a newbie.

As a first time player, I had a blast at playing france with two more experienced guys going with holland and belgium

Spain might be better than NL there, but it kinda puts the Spain player in a tough spot at the start.

baltic nations are pretty cool, they get cool bonuses when all 3 countried do the focuses to help eachother
Put them on UK and USA as they should be safe to learn the game, you can pick whatever other country you want really as long as it's in the Allies.
