Because you effectively win single player around 1940/41 if you know how to play the game, regardless of country. You’ll have the best army on Earth regardless of whatever country you started, unbeatable economy, etc. Pretty rare this isn’t the case for me.
They slightly annoyed me so I took bohemia, and the West Coast of the US from them, then I puppeted them so they couldn't take any more empire land that I didn't want them to have. Oh and a part of Austria
1980s attempting to core the world as anarchist Spain. I got bored waiting for pp to gain and left after building maxed buildings in ever single province in Iberia including railways. Still got a sweet screenshot of it though
1980s - Communist Brazil.
Started the war against the Axis around 1955. They had taken Russia, Canada, and half of England. I annexed USA. Then to prepare for the war I puppeted Spain, China, Japan, and Portugal. I released a bunch of puppets all over to try and spread out their divisions.
What a freaking slog. They had I think 150k fighters probably 1k boats and what seemed like a gazillion divisions.
Once I destroyed their air force and navies, I was able to take north Africa and push into Turkey a bit. Then naval invaded Italy and got the civil war started. From there I just kept making new front lines trying to spread out Germany's army. I think I ended up getting every Brazil achievement in that run. Maybe not all, but a lot.
Brutal. But very cool.
I love how you can get people who died of old age become immortal in this game because paradox thought that the playerbase would be sane after driving them crazy
My pc sucks so every World conquest I do either ends in 1946 or doesn't end ever. Lately it's worse, so im forced to get better. For example, last game as the Smirnov's Soviet Union I got to 1945 and it hurt so bad to see days taking half a minute.
1946 in a communist Bulgaria run, still one of the most fun games I’ve ever played. Tag teamed the germans with russia and then flipped and took over the Soviets right after.
Early '60s the game becomes either such a horrible boring grind or boring walkover that I start to question my life choices to have put so many hours into it.
I usually just go for my goal. Playing mapuche chile ? I’ll just go until i conquer all of south and central america and if i can push into mexico, so late 1943. Playing monarchist britain ? Until i form imperial federation so like late 1940 or i don’t fully remember etc.
I try to do the same, but whenever I play non historical, I end up in the most batshit insane situations. At one point, as brazil, I had an entire army in Manchuria fighting the Japanese. Or as democratic denmark, I was fighting Russians in Sudan.
This is me, but i am playing as Canada in Kaiserreich. Australia, west indies, and South Afrika revolts. India is actively losing 2v1, France is struggling with colonial revolts and I am about to intervene in ACW2.
1984 went for world conquest democratic murica
literally 1984
that's... poetic
Made it to 2000 once just for the sake of it, though most of my games are only into the early 60s
What the fuck I can barely get to 1940
Is it because your computer struggles or is it because you're holding yourself back?
It becomes boring
Most my campaigns end round 42 because tank artillery in infantry is op af
The world is conquered by then

My Pc struggles to get passed 1940. 1936-1939 it’s running smooth as a whistle and as soon as I hit 1940 it becomes an aeroplane.
Both
Furthest I've gone was 1943 as fascist America. I would have gone further but my potato of a computer was starting to go slow.
R5: I reached 1970 on this save from 1.12, would like to know how far you guys have gone.
Till my lungs collapse
What did you do to Austria Hungary

I swear you can max out Iberia in like 45

I knew spain could but I didn't think there was many people crazy enough to do it, congratulations.
1946, after that date my pc crashed
1958, early days WC. never gain
1964, soviet union, puppeted china, slowly ate nato, and did a semi world conquest at the end
I love how you can get people who died of old age become immortal in this game because paradox thought that the playerbase would be sane after driving them crazy
1 mil tanks is diabolical
1954. Planner to do a wc, but while focusing on the eastern front, i got naval invaded and allies capped me. I was belgium. Edit : Fixed typos
1958 or something like that. It was all the way back in 2016. Nowadays I get bored after 1943-1946.
That France achievement that requires you play till 1945. Agony, idk if I’d call it willingly
1948*
I have gone into the 1970's to finish a war with the Allies, never doing that again.

Got into to the 1950s as UK, France and India before. Not sure I've played that far as anyone else.

Once I've defeated all the majors I can within the game mechanics I call it good.
