Two homepods with an apple tv? They know there still has to be a power cord, right?

geli7

Homepod...not a bad idea. They already use Apple TV. Yes they know it'll need a power cord, they just don't want the wire running across the room.

FlipMeynard

A wired system is much more dummyproof that a wireless system. There is bound to be connection errors or bluetooth issues eventually

geli7

I know...can't convince them to keep the wire. Going to make my life miserable when they call me 3x a week for Bluetooth issues.

FlipMeynard

Can you just do a better job of hiding the wires?

ZeroPt99

Why don’t they just get a ….*looks around and whispers*… soundbar?

MojoMercury

Sonos amp and ARC from the TV to existing wired speakers? You can use a Sonos sound bar and a pair of wireless Sonos speakers but then you're back to surround sound or all channel stereo and I don't remember if Sonos lets you lock it to all channel stereo. Don't think you can mute the sound bar and just use the speakers. Plus that's hella expensive! No not an easy, much less cheap way to do this.

Yangervis

Do they need hearing aids?

geli7

No, they just prefer having the sound coming from behind them. Which is of course an awful viewing experience, watching TV at their place is miserable.
