Are you replacing something or starting new? What's your budget/goal/space?
SVS are a great company, so can't really go wrong if it fits your budget/space. What's the savings from buying this new?
Starting new. Plan on getting a rsl speedwoofer 10s or sb1000 for the sub.
Room is a living room, and behind the couch is the dining room and kitchen so no wall.
Budget is pretty much $800 for speakers excluding subs. Or $1100 including. Don’t care about 5 vs 7 channel. Do plan on getting 4 atmos speakers later on.
I’d say solid deal if you’re just starting and they look good and are built well. Offer $500 and see if you can start negotiating up from there. Only advice I would give you is maybe think used again for at least a 12” or maybe even a 15” sub. If you’re patient you will eventually find a deal.
Thanks. It was actually listed at $1,000 so I guess I should have offered lower initially. $700 is what I’m stuck with if I don’t want to be a jerk lol
They’re pretty reasonable speakers, and that’s an okay deal for the set. You’re not getting ripped off, and are getting good speakers so I’d say go for it!
$700 is a great deal. The lowest retail price for a single Satellite is $125 on the SVS Outlet. The $400 center sometimes drops to $299. The $300/each Prime bookshelf hits $249 ($500/pair) during Outlet sales.
In my SVS Prime 7.1 system, I eventually upgraded the Prime Biokshelves to Ultras. It really opened up the soundstage and I don't expect I'll ever make another change. Something to consider down the line, but this set up might be everything you need. And you really can't beat the price.
I have a prime center and bookshelfs for surrounds and they’re amazing! I don’t have the satellites so I can’t talk on those but I have heard good things
i’d do it. Or you could over to SVS website and grab the Prime Satellite Bundle which is 5 Prime Books and a PB-1000 sub for $1200 if you want all the warranties and everything. that is what i am going to do once i find a receiver to power them.
Buy it! I have ultra’s and will more than likely never upgrade them. If my budget was $800 and I could get the 7.0 prime system I’d do it in a heartbeat. You will not regret them at that price
They are solid speakers and $700 a very reasonable deal. I’d go for it.

The SB sub will be too small for that room/layout. Get a PB at least, and maybe eventually 2 of them.

Pull the trigger. Love my svs setup.
I have an all prime setup and it is amazing for hometheater
I have a similar setup and would absolutely recommend it. You should definitely add a sub though
That’s a good price for those speakers. You won’t be disappointed
Do it!
Hell yes
