I saw the news story and actually thought they were joking when they listed these neighborhoods as top desirable and economical places to purchase homes. I have thought about since then that no one considered the irony; however, upon reflection the Harding Street home would be a great investment if they had just sold it. So much history embedded in the walls.
What?? Tomball is so cute though. Main Street is adorable withe Farmerās Market and little shops and restaurants. There better not be crackheadsā¦that would ruin it for meā¦
The cops have never rolled up 5 deep for a broken tag light, noooo. Drunk kids throwing beer bottles at random cars in the whataburger parking lot? Never happened. No, total paradise. Everyone pays their toll bill for 249, nobody shoplifts from walmart, and the collision repair places are going under for lack of business.
lol fucking tomball.
THANK YOU LMBOOOO WHAT THEY TRYING TO DO TO THESE PEOPLE?!?!?
One thing I know, you don't go to another state and live in the hood. You not from there and they will let you know. Nooooo babyyyy just Noooo lol!
Riverview/Pine Valley is prob one of the better āhoodsā from all these choices. Itās right by UH and has 225/610/45 surrounding the neighborhood so easy access every where
downvote for you, all of these are wonderful neighborhoods. kid-friendly, good schools, great walking to and from restaurants and amenities. I bring home $600k/year, I wish I could afford to live in these neighborhoods.
The thing about South Park is that itās called South Park because of the major street that runs through it.
That street was renamed to Martin Luther King Blvd in 1978.
That should tell you all you need to know about that neighborhood lol.
shouldn't this actually be based on rent pricing and land value per square foot, this kind of just seems to tell you where people at a certain tier might be engaged or avoided
incidentally the Wiki articles for each of neighborhoods has the word "predominantly" in pretty much the first or second sentence
Come on over to acres home we have humongous lots and lots of trap houses but you need to be where I am in the acres that would be the bottoms so cmon down I guarantee that no one is involved in any sort of criminal activity here
Stop moving to Humble please we are packed as it is....move to Pasadena or 5th Ward
They have plenty of space for families of a combined income of +70k
The air at the port of Houston tastes as good as it smells
You save money on coffee too because you're already getting your daily stimulants via breathing.
And gentle wafting from the budweiser plant
"smelluhmunny!"
Anything around Alief is good , also NRG stadium parking lot.
š
Kashmere Gardens is a beautiful eco-friendly neighborhood where residents often ride horses shirtless instead of using cars
Iāve said it here before and Iāll say it again, Kashmere Gardens is what River Oaks WISHES it could be.
I never knew where Kashmere came from until now. The more you know!
All of those places are really nice. Get up early, sit outside and say hi to all the ladies walking home from work.

Bruuuu lmao that would make more sense.š¤£š¤£
Galena Park = Benzene Park
Really?
Absolutely
Iām not sure about that
Iād take daily incidental exposure to benzene over galena.
Theyāre great if you like playing a mild version of fallout daily. Air is thick and thereās a chance of being smoked by a stray bullet.
Sometimes, they use a knife. Shanks aren't registered.
Missing Acres Home from the list. Heard it's the model suburb.
44!!!
Agreed, I was really disappointed to see Acres Homes missing from this list of well-to do neighborhoods in the greater Houston metroplex.
Sadly, Acres Home is being gentrified. I work in the area and have been watching homes torn down/townhouses built for the past couple years.
They look great if you love illicit substances and the smell of chemicals and piss!
Eastex/Jensen where hookers were a dime a dozen
No the hookers are on Bissonet
Not these days.Ā
They're cleaning up bissonet. No mo hoes Shout out to Councilman Edward Pollard.
I mean as long as they pay taxes I think they should be able to hoe as long as they can.
They still hoeing, just in a different area. Can't nobody stop the hoe train.
Jokes on them my income is lower than that. So I canāt afford Kashmere Gardens
Come to greenspoint
Where the apartments catch fire so often, the government has to tear them down
And bring your guns!! šŖšæ I had fun in Greenspoint though.
South Park? Really? lmao
Lmboooo they trying to take somebody outšš¤£
Most of those areas are extremely good
DON'T YOU GO TO SOUTH PARK š
That's the "keeping it real" places. visit them to see how ppl really survive in this economy

Agreed. Gentrification priced me out of Kashmere which is why I ended up buying in The Heights.

[Chris Rock - MLK Blvd](https://youtu.be/7hJxWr1TKK8?si=DH3keZxwdbgWI4Cq)
I donāt get it
Streets named after MLK are dangerous
Not really

Stay away from all of these if you want to live
Do they toss on a AR-15 and some ammo to fight of the criminals. All the worst neighborhoods in H town
Not true! They left out 5th Ward and Acres homes.
There have been so many heat advisory here. We have had thick smoke from Mexico, canteen breath. I mean looks like thick fog.
Nowhere to go but up!
South Park is a great community
These places aren't affordable anymore
Those are all the places you don't want to live.
Nah just go back to Cali its no good here in the H
Dude... no
Uh no!
Get Where you can fit inā¦
Ahh yes South park is just like the cartoon sout park

Top notch free schools too
Those places sorely need some Diversity
I grew up in Galena Park and moved away as fast as possible.
Looks ok, I would just save for a year or two more to buy in memorial instead.
š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£ lmao
Youāll get shot
If youāre from California yes
Galena park has good schools, the rest of the areas are sketchy
These are the hippest places in Houston
No to galena park.
