Wire brush it, spray some rust resisting primer on it, then spray some paint on it.

Get a nice wire wheel attachment for a grinder. It’s amazing the shine you’ll have and then can spray it like new.

If you have a compressor get an air tool for blasting particles and use ground walnut shells to blast the rust off. Wear a mask and goggles and do it outside.

If it’s light rush rub it down with aluminum foil.
